History

Established in 1985.

Devonshire has sourced unusual, one of a kind antique, vintage and new furnishings for the garden and garden room. Working with local West Palm Beach craftsmen and ateliers in Mexico, Morocco, Bali and China, together with classic aged European home & garden antiques gives Devonshire’s eclectic mix of offerings a flair unmatched by other purveyors of garden accents.

Business Owner

Nelson Hammell started Devonshire in 1985 in the charming hunt country village of Middleburg, Virginia. Through a friendship with the late Ambassador to France Pamela Harriman, Nelson forged a relationship with Deborah, The Duchess of Devonshire, to represent the Chatsworth Estate Garden Furniture line here in the United States. Since then he has moved his business to West Palm Beach, Florida.
