Omg it was valentines day and we got the french kiss roll, thought it was romantic. The person taking our order was the most friendly with an upbeat personality and great recommendations. Not only that but they threw in shrimp balls on the house. As always… they always give you something to try. When i picked up my order i was greeted by everyone. Service was great! Life changing food service and sushi. I cant look at sushi without thinking about kim. The salad– life changing !!! The dressing is out of this world. French kiss roll was great too. One visit and my lifes been changed in so many ways

Impeccable service and delicious + fresh food! Love how this place is BYOB. Make sure you make a reservation for weekends, and be on time. This place is always packed and sometimes you have to wait, but it’s worth the wait. Ordered a few special rolls, along with the sashimi set the sashimi was very fresh and the rolls were delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly~ I traveled with a group for 35 minutes just to eat here. Ill be returning again, thank you for the great service and great experience.

Small, Charming restaurant with attentive, kind, ready service. Delicious sushi rolls, the deluxe rolls are huge. I would recommend the Philadelphia roll. We received free edamame and two sushi rolls. My only gripe would be that the parking lot is small, but the issue isn’t that big of a deal. Recommended!

Without a doubt the best sushi I’ve ever eaten. The sushi here is second to none. It’s obvious they take quality seriously. Ever since eating at Kim’s the first time, I find myself comparing other sushi places that don’t even come close. Kim’s nails every single aspect on a customer level — they are so friendly. Soup and salad are always complimentary and they usually give a little side roll on the house. I’ve eaten in and taken out and the experience is always positive. The dining area used to be super tiny until they expanded it. They could double the restaurant and still probably have it always filled. Trust the reviews on here and try it out — you will not be disappointed.

I really loved Kim’s Sushi! The ambiance is no frills but the quality of the food is worthy of 5 stars. I would recommend the salmon and tuna sushi pieces and one of their specialty rolls, since the portions per order are huge. They also threw in a free appetizer when we told them it was our first time visiting! That type of customer service is always appreciated and I will definitely be back.

I was looking for a good Sushi spot in Jersey and someone recommended this place — I’m glad they did. It’s pretty easy to miss if you’re driving by cause it’s tiny and you enter through the back but it’s definitely worth knowing about. Its a small place, the tables are not spaced far apart(but not uncomfortably close either) and has a nice vibe. Also BYOB. Gets packed and I see why, the food is good and so is the service. We ordered a sushi/sashimi platter and left full & satisfied. Will def be back to try out a couple of different rolls.

I have eaten at Kim’s Sushi several times over the last two years. And, yes, I am a fan. I really like their sushi & sashimi combinations and especially, their special rolls. The Minh Dazzling roll is a favorite of mine. When you visit Kim’s Sushi make you you order the Shrimp Balls; they are delicious! Kim’s Sushi is friendly neighborhood sushi place with fresh and delicious food and attentive service by a team of hard working waitresses. Also, I must mention that at Kim’s Sushi you are always treated to a free sample of whatever the sushi chefs want you to try. It is like they work hard to make you come back. I appreciate that!

I could live off this place. Every time I need to get my sushi fix, the first place I think about it Kim’s. I am literally drooling as I wait for my Spicy Crispy Crunch and Elizabeth Roll(you MUST try these)! The place is tiny, the servers are nice and attentive, and the food is life changing! I recommend every human try this place out!

One of the best sushi places in town, or perhaps from many other towns as well! Although their place is quite small, their staff is very attentive, very courteous, and really friendly. Their sushi rolls, regardless of which ones you choose, are very, very, delicious, and always fresh! They always take the time to prepare your dishes so elegantly that they are worth a phone pic! My favorite part about Kim’s is that they always offer you a complimentary sushi roll on the house!(Offering you a taste of a different roll!) But don’t take my word, please stop by and try for yourself! A note of warning: if you show up during a busy dinner time, you WILL need to wait for an open table!

Kim’s is my favorite sushi place in NJ for so many reasons! Great staff, awesome energy, it’s a BYOB, and boy is the sushi delicious and sooooo fresh! They’ve expanded a bit since last year and the quality of the food and service is still great. Bauman and Elizabeth roll are my top 2. Please try this place it does not disappoint.

Dropped by here for dinner a couple of months ago and now it is my favorite sushi place around the area. I would highly recommend this place if you live around the area. Pro: 1. The food is always fresh. 2. Sushi taste great 3. Servers are great and accommodating. 4. Price is within reasons. 5. Free samples if you dine in. 6. Awesome miso soup and the best part is that it is free. Cons: 1. Always crowded around dinner time(May need to wait up to 30 minutes to get a table). 2. Food may take a while due to how busy they are. 3. Parking spots are limited. Overall, the place is nice and I would definitely continue to visit here. This place is a lot better than other sushi places around the area.

The place is quite small which can either be good or bad depending on your preference. Personally I thought it had a great vibe. Great for small groups of 2 – 5 people. The sushi itself is some of the best sushi I’ve had in NJ. Great balance of fish and rice. I always judge a restaurant by the size of their menu and this restaurant’s menu definitely had me just shy of overwhelmed. The price is just what you would expect of a sushi restaurant. Nothing too expensive but not too cheap to where you’re skeptical. Great service. All the staff were super friendly and checked in on us frequently enough to properly cater to our needs. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves sushi.

About five years ago when I moved out here from Brooklyn, I looked up the best sushi spots and Kim’s came up. When I drove by, I was like«where is it, in there, really?» It was dark out and I thought it was empty because I couldn’t see the parking in the back so I just passed. Although I drive by it at least four times a week, I never went back until last week when friends of mine said I had to try it. Perfect reason to give it a go and I was not disappointed. There is no ambience, it’s just a big room with random tables and chairs and you probably won’t care. If you are a true Unilocaler, you care so much less about ambience than the food and this is where Kim’s wins. Agreeably Americanized sushi that is both fresh, creative and the best value anywhere in the vicinity, Kim’s will not drain your wallet while filling you up. The service is fantastic, every server is so nice and helpful. Listen though, they give you free soup and salad with every meal. It’s not like this costs them a lot or is really an Earth shattering revelation, but it’s nice, very nice. I haven’t had one roll that I didn’t love in two visits in two weeks. When you catch them at the perfect time, the sushi rice is perfect on your rolls(a little warm and just sticky enough) and each time I have been there, they offered up a four piece complimentary roll toward the end. Kim’s just knows how to do business. Outstanding service, great food and the best prices without seventeen lucky cats and the Americanized sushi restaurant decoration kit. Go when you are hungry and you want to have enough money for lunch the next day.

I came here for lunch today and had a great experience. Its a small little place but it does have parking right in the back. I got there around 1230 and it was pretty empty but then filled up quickly. The service was amazing. They kept coming around filling our orders and asking us if we need anything. Two of us got the lunch special spicy salmon and tuna roll($ 10.50). It comes with a miso soup(really good) and small salad. They also gave us a free roll for the table which was amazing. Its those little things that make this place so special. My niece got the chicken teriyaki and she enjoyed it. They also gave us oranges and gum to end our meal with. The place itself is small, but offers so much that you cant pass it up! Kudos Kim!

My new go-to sushi spot near my area! First off let me start off letting all the readers know how much free stuff you’ll get at this restaurant. Free stuff: 1. Miso soup! 2. Salad! The dressing is delicious! I still can’t figure out what it’s made of! 3. Just when you think you’re done with your meal, they slip by your table and treat you with a free complimentary roll! 4. Andddd for dessert an orange — peeled in a very unique way! If you go there you’ll see what I’m talking about! 5. A free stick of Wrigley’s gum — the yellow one, idk about anyone else but that’s one of my favorite flavors! The sushi and sashimi: 1. We ordered the regular sashimi platter and it was delicious! 15 pieces of 4 different types of fishes which included salmon and some others. 2. As for the sushi, we ordered the salmon teriyaki sushi roll and a salmon roll and they were tasty! The establishment: 1. Cute little small restaurant — from the outside it looks like a take out place. The place is so adorable filled with with post-its of all the fans of Kim’s Sushi. The only bad thing is that it gets crowded really fast, there’s not a lot of tables! We waited about fifteen minutes to be seated. That’s the only reason preventing me from giving this restaurant a solid 5 stars. Service: 1. Very friendly staff! Tip: The entrance is in the back!

My favorite sushi restaurant. I frequent here and every roll I try is delicious. Every meal comes with free Miso Soup and salad. Also, you most likely will get a free small plate of sushi on the house. So don’t order too much! Try the West Orange Roll — Shrimp Tempura, Cucumber, Crab and Chili Sauce and the French Kiss Roll — Shrimp Tempura, Crab, Salmon, avocado, and lemon. The lemon sounds odd for a sushi roll, but it gives a fresh taste. After your meal, peeled oranges and sticks of gum are given to you as your dessert. The place is extremely small — maybe 6 or 7 tables. So plan to either wait, take out, or go early. Also, this place has a lot of customers, which is what I like to see at a sushi restaurant. Not only does it mean the sushi is good, but it also means the fish is selling faster. I am a little leery at places that aren’t busy.
