Enjoy a delicious family dinner today at The Pipeline Smokehouse & Bar. We have all of your smokehouse favorites including ribs, brisket, wings, burgers, and more!
My husband and I ate there tonight about 6pm. We ordered the 3 meat combo with two extra sides. Our salads were great. They consisted of fresh spring greens, tomatoes and cheeses. They were ample, but I would have preferred them served in a bowl instead of the paper meat tray they were served in. We chose the ribs, pulled pork and brisket for our 3 meats. The ribs and pulled pork were delicious, while the brisket a little on the fatty side. We enjoyed the three sauces provided on the table. My favorite was the Texas barbecue sauce. It had just the right amount of hot spices. The side of potato salad and onion strings were above average and made in house. The combo and sides were served on a metal cookie sheet and were not really hot enough. I think had it been served on a thick heated plate, it would have stayed warm longer. One small piece of cornbread accompanied the meal. Except for us, there was only one other couple in the whole huge barn. Our waiter was very congenial and service was fast. No complaints there. I would think that if they maybe served a free bread basket or appetizer and maybe increased the portions and worked on presentation that they might get more business. We were given only one thin paper napkin to eat ribs! No extra napkins on the table.

The boyfriend and I were coming back to Grand Haven after being in Holland, and decided to stop in for lunch, and am I glad we did! To me a sloppy sandwich means it’s super good. The Sliced Chicken Sandwich was the sloppiest mess — it was so delicious I wanted more! I had the onion shoestrings for my side, which were quite tasty. Bf had the brat burger, which he’s still raving about a day later. We chatted a bit with the manager who told us that the restaurant was revamped and just getting started again. This summer should be fun — they have some great events planned. Cannot wait to go back for some great food, service and fun!

Wow, I have driven by this place for the last 20 years and I sure am glad I finally stopped! I had the bacon brat burger, it was spicy and delicious. I had to control myself to savor each bite without ripping right through it. Fries were salty and yummy. She had the smoked chicken sandwich and it was hard to give back. Apple crumble for two for dessert. Best crumble I have had in years, we fought for the last bite.

The ribs are good and the chili is good if you like it hot and spicy. However, the brisket was 50% fat and the children was dry slices. The pulled pork was fine, nothing special. Won’t go out of my way to eat there again.

The best pulled pork I’ve ever had. Nothing prepackaged here and their meat is from local farms. No Cargill/GFS here. Love the old Amish Barn. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and the history of the building.

We have been here a few times when they were different names. The barn is very cool and I have often wondered why they can not make things work in this location. Our service was average and out waitress seemed very nice. After our kids ordered they came back to tell us that they were out of the mini corn dogs. Not a big deal but don’t say it’s on your menu if you don’t have it. Keep in mind they did not have kids menus printed and they read them aloud to our kids. Overall the food was very good ! The three meat platter was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and fairly quiet for a Saturday night.

Food is good but not great. For my taste there is to much sugar in the rub and on fries. i have noticed the food is not consistent. Seems the recipe changes from visit to visit.

The big barn has gone through different restaurants… the last one being a Bbq joint as well. They have some weekday lunch specials for $ 5.99 — can’t beat that. We had the lunch special for an app(two pork sliders and fries). Was appropriate for an app, not enough for lunch. We also tried the wings which were ok. For lunch, we shared the three meat combo — two ribs and one brisket. Also shared a burger and a corned beef sandwich. The corned beef was not on the menu and tasted the best — maybe it was because it was just made? For sides: we tried the brisket chili(little spicy), slaw(little vinegary), fries and potato salad(best of the bunch, had nice seasoning and some onions mixed in). Service was great, bbq was just ok.

Very good place to eat. We ordered the 3 meat plater to share. The portion was way too much for my husband and I. Great flavor. Will come back.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. The food is good, the presentation could be better. We ordered the pork nachos, the haystack BBQ bacon burger, and a pulled pork sandwich, no complaints on any of them. They have 4 homemade BBQ sauces on their tables for your convenience and they are awesome! Plus they have local craft beers on tap upstairs(SCORE!) We went there on a Wednesday evening so they had line dancing downstairs which was a lot of fun to watch! Overall the food was good, the staff was pleasant, and the experience was awesome! We will be back!
