I’ve been meaning to write a review for this place for awhile but it’s always slipped my mind. As someone who has been to pretty much every single pet salon in downtown JC, I can tell you (without a doubt) that this is the best pet grooming service in the area. Best hidden secret, for sure.
The prices are extremely reasonable, the pets are not put in cages and my maltese always looks great. My dog was always a nervous wreck before and after every grooming appointment with our previous groomer but that has never been the case with Paws and Suds. Just based on my dog’s demeanor, I can tell that they take great care of their furry customers even when their parents are not around.
Willy and his staff are also very friendly and accommodating.

I’ve brought my tiny himalayan cat here twice now for grooming and they are sweet people. They cut her hair beautifully and they had her ready quick. They definitely take good care of her. Support local!

After a terrible experience at PetSmart in Secaucus NJ where my 4yo maltese was cut requiring 4 staples to close. I was scared to take him to get groomed. I was very happy to find this great grooming place. They were very thorough in explaining how they groom there clients dogs. They did an excellent job in just 45 minutes. They towel dried him & didn’t put him in a cage. Unlike Petsmart where you drop off your pet for 4hrs where they are caged till some inexperienced hourly employ grooms them. Paws & Suds is not a big place but have a big heart & it shows in there grooming.

I took our cat here because she had some pretty badly matted fur on both sides. My fiancée and i tried to wash it out but had no luck. We decided to take her to a grooming place because we were afraid to shave her ourselves since cats have thin skin and she was very skittish if you touched the matted spots. We got her washed, dried, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and shaved for a good price. The staff were very nice, professional, and helpful. I would take my animals here again if I needed to.

Yessenia and her father have recently taken on this location, the previous owners were awful and I wouldn’t have brought my dog in let alone have her groomed there. I brought my teacup yorkie in there this weekend with alot of hesitation, she suffers from seizures and I don’t just trust her in the care of anyone. I spoke with them several times and she assured me everything was going to be alright, she took my number down, directions on the haircut and about 35 minutes later my dog was cut and groomed— I will be returning to this new run business for another grooming in about 3 weeks. They are attentive and affordable, and also run a clean establishment.
