Willamette Pain and Spine

I have needed regular pain management care for chronic pain, for nearly ten years now. I have seen doctors and NPs at several different clinics, always feeling like I had to justify my pain and convince each provider to continue my regiment. The procedures followed by one doctor in particular left me feeling as though I was constantly having to prove to him that I was not just some lowlife drug addict.
Finally, about six years ago, I found Dr. Gullo at Willamette Pain & Spine. I’ve seen several providers at his clinics and am so, so grateful for the care and consideration they’ve given me. I’m no longer treated with suspicion, given options but not forced into making changes to my treatment, and honestly feel like I have a partner in my health care.
Over the years I’ve been a patient at this clinic, their offices have moved a couple of times, and I have moved as well, with the result being that I now have to travel between 30 – 60 minutes (one way) for each of my monthly appointments. It’s a long drive, but easily worth it to me if I get to continue with this clinic.
The two other reviews that I’ve seen on Unilocal for Willamette Pain & Spine were just one star each. I wanted to share my experience here, hoping to balance things out a little.

Please be Very Careful about going here… They have Great Doctors and have a great help to me… BUT, the front desk is the Gate Keeper and I came here with my service dog for a year and Never had /​or asked about a leash, and the day before I had to put my dog to sleep I was given a hard time and had to put my sick service dog in the hot car. This staff is the worst and no help… I Would Never Recommend this clinic…

Never take your family member to this clinic. My mom was treated for a couple years by Cheryl H, NP who was recommended to me. She left the practice and mom is seen by another doctor there. He completely changed her management with new medication. She went from being almost pain free to nauseated, disoriented, weak, lethargic and miserable and having balance problems, all in the course of two months. She fell twice within the same time period, then stumbled and fell again recently through a loose board on her deck. She is now in hospital with a traumatic fracture to her femur on the same leg she had knee replacement done last year. I don’t know about anyone else but this poor woman has had enough.

They could care less for your health/​pain. When one of their nurse practitioners left the practice — they just dropped her patients without referrals or assistance — just a letter saying you have 30 days to find someone else.
Substandard care at it’s best. Do yourself a favor — go somewhere else where they actually care about your health.
