We are a mobile leather and vinyl repair service. We offer cleaning, repair, and refinishing on all types of leather and vinyl upholstery for furniture, cars, and boats. We can repair cuts, scrapes, scratches, burns, seam tears, and discolorations, and in most cases, make them look like new again. We also do hand stitching on fabrics with a curved needle, and can make invisible seam repairs. Since 1978 we have earned a reputation for excellence in both the quality of our work and customer service.

History

Established in 1978.

New Life Leather and Vinyl is owned and operated by Dale Hackenjos, a craftsman and perfectionist who began doing vinyl repair along with several partners in 1978, mainly serving the automotive industry. Over the years Dale refined his skills and techniques in leather repair and refinishing, and began specializing in leather furniture, including the expensive high end leathers. Today, we offer expert repairs and mobile service for all types of leather and vinyl on furniture, cars, and boats, servicing furniture stores, car and boat dealers, moving companies, warranty companies, offices, restauraunts, and private homes.

Business Owner

Dale Hackenjos is the owner and operator of New Life Leather and Vinyl in the Portland metro area. Dale is a craftsman and perfectionist who has spent most of his life developing and refining his skills in leather and vinyl repair. He has earned a reputation for excellence in the quality of his work and in customer service. He takes each job personally and will make sure the repairs are as permanent and invisible as possible. He believes in the importance of staying within estimates, keeping appointments, and returning phone calls and emails promptly.
