Mt. Scott Vision is an established practice recently relocated to our brand new office in Happy Valley /​SE Portland. After 15 years at its previous location, Dr Forbes completely upgraded every aspect of Mt Scott Vision. Now housed in a brand new facility with state of the art examination instrumentation, Mt Scott vision is a full service family eye care practice. Our goal here at Mt. Scott Vision is to provide the highest possible levels of Eye Care and offer the best possible optical solutions individualized for each patient. Our goal is to be the best eyecare experience in Portland.

Dr. Forbes is an Oregon native, and attended Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon where he received his B.S. in Biological Sciences. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University’s College of Optometry. Upon completion, From 1995 to 2009, Dr. Forbes owned and operated this busy vision care practice,. Dr. Forbes served in the Oregon Air National Guard as a Life Support Specialist, and as Chief of Optometric Services. Most recently Dr Forbes has accepted the position of Chief of Optometric Services for the Washington Air National Guard with the rank of Major. In June of 2009, Dr. Forbesformed Mt. Scott Vision. Practicing over a decade and a half Dr. Forbes has gained invaluable experience in managing a wide variety of eye care cases. Dr. Forbes has also provided humanitarian vision care in developing countries around the globe: Eastern Europe, North Africa, Asia, South and Central America, and to those in need locally
