History

Established in 1989.

Chimcare LLC is a full service chimney and air-​duct cleaning company established in 1989 by Richard Peralta in the city of Canby, Oregon. The business was later turned over to his son Jesse Peralta in 2005 who is now the current owner. The company has expanded to now servicing the greater Portland, Salem and surrounding areas. Richard started the business on a part-​time basis to provide extra income for his family of eight in 1989, while working full time for UPS. After five years of hard work and dedication to his customers, he was able to leave his day job and pursue the business full time. Richard built the business from the ground up by providing dependable, quality service that you can trust. Fast-​forward twenty years later and many of his first customers are still with Chimcare LLC today, along with their family and friends. I found St. Helens Chiney Sweep and Masonry a Chimcare Company through Google then the Yellow Pages. Ryan came to my home in Scappoose to clean out my chimney and wood stove. They were booked a few weeks out and I had to take a couple hours off work, but he came out and did a good job. He was running about 45 minutes behind but at least called ahead to notify me. I was happy with the work completed, I think he did a good job. Unfortunately my chimey/​wood stove does not pass an inspection and needs alot of work for me to use it. He recommended some work that seems pretty costly to me, but I will get a couple quotes from other companies to compare and determine what I want to do.

We had an absolutely agonizing experience with ChimCare. Very nice but wow do they not know how to show up. 1st appointment, I take off work a couple hours early and wait for them to show, finally I called them and apparently the truck broke down. Fair enough but why did I have to call to find this out, plus I wasted 3 hours of PTO. So I decide to give them another try, they said they would come by Sunday and make a special visit, guess what, they didn’t show and no call. Now here is where I turn into a sucker, since they offered a discount I figured what the heck one more try. They showed, hallelujah! (Also took another 2 hours of PTO to get home for them) Guy was nice and received a quote to have work done. Two weeks later one of the Mason’s shows up to start work (he was an hour late) so he starts power washing chimney and stops about 20 min in. I can only imagine what’s next. He tells me, «buddy, you got a lot of problems and the whole chimney needs to be repointed». I said ok, whatever it takes just do it!!! So since he didn’t have enough time he pushed this out 3 weeks. The day comes and I take off a couple of hours early from work to be there, as now I’m suspect. As I’m riding home I just knew they didn’t show up, yep, again no show. This is seriously a true series of events as hard as it might be to believe. Later I had 3 more quotes, all discrediting ChimCare and the work I was quoted. Thank goodness they didn’t show else I would have really been taken for a ride. Stay clear all!
I’ve contemplated sending them an invoice for all the PTO I used to meet for appointments they missed.

Ryan from McMinnville Chimney Sweep and Masonry came out to our house in McMinnville to clean our dryer vents and fix a small issue with the connection that had been allowing some exhaust to come in the house. He was quick, polite and cleaned up everything nicely. We were very pleased and will use them again for dryer or chimney needs.

I found Chimcare by searching for chimney sweeps in Salem. I bought my home in June, and scheduled them to sweep and inspect my firebox and chimney before I used it for the first time. They were booked out for about a month, but they were friendly and professional so I decided to stick with them.
Walter came out and did his inspection. He was very courteous about taking off his shoes and laying down paper to protect my floors. He talked me through what he was finding and was very professional and knowledgeable.
He recommended that I have my chimney tuck-​pointed from the shoulders up, a new cap put on, and have the back wall of my firebox rebuilt. Jim and Lucas came to do the work, and both were prompt and hard-​working. Jim went above and beyond: he cleaned my floors after finishing up inside, and even called the roofer who had installed my new roof and made him come back to re-​do the flashing around the chimney. It was clear that they value a job well done and making sure people’s homes and investments are protected.
Overall they were fantastic. My only complaint is that it took a long time to get on their schedule. Everyone I spoke with and worked with was wonderful, and I will recommend them to anyone in need of a sweep or a mason.

We had two insert fireplaces inspected and cleaned by Chimcare on 12 November in Corvallis, Or. We found Chimcare via a google search at
Ryan called when enroute to let me know when he would arrive, and he had all the possible equipment needed for cleaning. We had our two chimneys inspected and cleaned and he did a great job fully cleaning both the fireplace, glass and chimney, plus inspecting almost 20 items which are fireplace related. He provided a full debrief and things to consider in the future. Overall I was very satisfied with the cleaning and professionalism Ryan provided.

We chose Chimcare for our chimney flashing replacement after reading reviews on Unilocal.Kurtis was on time, professional, friendly and even gave us problem solving ideas for our Damascus location. He is great! There was a slight error on the estimate and I’m delighted to say the estimate was honored with no problem. Very happy with the workmanship and the leak is fixed! We will use Chimcare in the future!

Found them on Angie’s List thru one of their «Big Deals». We asked for a bid to repair two chimneys at our home in Milwaukie. We only did the flashing on the two chimneys, but Kurtis came on time, was super courteous, did an outstanding job (even our roofer came by and took his card because he was so impressed), and left the place clean as a whistle! Could not recommend any higher. We will definitely use them again when we are ready to complete the more extensive work.

We had Chimcare install a new brick chimney starting at the roofline. They showed us examples of the available styles of brick, the chimney caps, and explained how the flashing works. We ended up selecting our own brick style, custom cap, and flashing setup that looks great. Kurtis, the mason who did the work, was courteous and efficient. Great experience all around.

Nick Maddison from Chimcare came to our home today in Canby to clean our chimney. I found them on a google search and followed up on their Facebook page. He was very nice and did the job quickly and efficiently. He even brought down a couple of stray sprinklers that had somehow blasted onto the roof from our blueberry farm irrigation system. Not sure how they got there! Nice guy! Will definitely use them again.

I am so glad I chose Chimcare, Lincoln City. Michael and Nick were great. They were on time, actually a little early which I had requested. They were so nice and professional and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. They were so thorough and efficient in cleaning my fireplace/​chimney. The inspection was very necessary as the chimney was very dirty. The cost is very reasonable for the care and service they provide. They were in and out in 30 minutes although it didn’t seem that long but long enough to do a good job. I will use Chimcare again for sure! Thanks guys for such great service!
