And just as important, our knowledgeable and experienced staff ensures that your shopping experience, whether you buy anything or not, is better than you’d hoped it could be. We stock some 16,000 different items in the store, including cookware, bakeware, barware, dinnerware, tools & gadgets, countertop appliances, glassware, flatware, tableware & woodenware from vendors including All Clad, Cuisinart, Swiss Diamond, Wusthof, Henckels, Portmeirion, Hadley, Breville, KitchenAid, Le Creuset, Staub, Riedel, & OXO. If we don’t have it, you probably don’t need it, but if you want it, we’ll get it for you!

Originally from Vermont, I moved to New Hampshire in 1990 for my husband’s construction equipment business. After being home with my five children for 21 years, I decided to pursue my love for cooking by working at a local café helping out with catering, which led me to opening Capital Deli in downtown Concord in 2000. Still there today 13 years later.

I heard rumor that the owners of Things Are Cooking were looking to retire and I HAD to own it! With my love and passion for cooking what could better compliment the deli and myself than a full kitchen store? Working along side me at Things Are Cooking is my husband, Mike.

We recently caught wind of the same situation with a kitchen store in West Lebanon, NH and thought why not expand and spread my love and joy for cooking and bought Board and Basket in October 2013.
