We provide Purdue students housing. We offer 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartments and 2, 3, and 4 bedroom townhouses. You will enjoy living in a quality apartment with local ownership, a great staff, and maintenance department.

History

Established in 1982.

Basham Rentals is a local family owned and operated business. Basham Rentals was founded in 1982 by John and Connie Basham, both lifelong residents of the Lafayette area. In the beginning, all work was shared by John and Connie – leasing, maintenance, bookkeeping, remodeling, etc.

Business Owner

Basham Rentals is a local family owned and operated business.

John and Connie Basham

John began working for Eli Lilly & Co. in 1969 and retired from there after 28 years. He currently is serving his second four-​year term on the Tippecanoe County Council, first elected in 2008.

Connie previously served as an administrative assistant with the Tippecanoe School Corporation, and Children’s Coordinator and Sanctuary Choir Director at her church.

Both John and Connie serve on various boards of directors for local organizations and contribute regularly to community events and charitable causes.

Gretchen Basham

The Bashams’ daughter Gretchen serves as the Basham Rentals general manager. In 1997, Gretchen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue, in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. She now manages the day-​to-​day operations of the business. Gretchen and her husband Mike were married in 2000, and they have ten-​year-​old twins.
