Platinum Car Wash & Detail

You might as well wash it your self!, because even after you pay, your still going to have to go home and touch things up… and I’m not talking just one or two little spots. Tried them for the first time the other day…
Truck came out of the wash and sat in the sun for quite some time before being dried, leaving hard water spots all over the truck, When I came outside it looked clean from afar, but as I got closer there where streaks and spots all over the windows and mirrors, the body paint is white so it hides alot, but there where spots and streaks all over it too. one of the employees walked out there with me, and as I pointed to the windows and mirrors he simply said oh thats hard water spots, if you want that off you have to go in the detail shop, I started pointing out dirty spots literally in 5 – 6 places. There was bird poop still on the Hood, and on the rear left panel (Literally a foot under eye level) there where finger prints on the door He said, oh yeah they should have got that etc. and simply wiped it with his towel he had in his hand. after pointing out so many dirty spots still on this truck, I just jumped in and drove away frustrated.
the windows on the inside had streaks like crazy, (Which it didn’t before) this is a brand new truck that only had 3000 miles on it. (its not lifted) there’s no excuse the hood and windows and mirrors came out this dirty.
I also noticed one of my favorite pens where missing. I had done a Direct Deposit while going through the car wash and then set this pen on top of a pile of checks, kind of as a paper weight, and when I got back in the truck the pen was gone. My center console has a deep cubby with a perfect spot on one side that checks fit in perfectly if laying flat, this spot also has a slight lip, so its not like this pen just rolled down and fell, even if it had it would have just fallen into the lower part of the cubby… I’m hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt and perhaps their vacuum sucked it up, but it still felt wrong and more wrong no one said anything. and if the pen got sucked up why didn’t the checks get sucked up???

I travel all over the our county for work with my car, so it’s pretty important to me to have a clean car. Platinum car wash in West Jordan is one of the top one’s out there! You can’t beat the service for the price. When I get back always get the diamond wash and I’m never disappointed. The customer service is great from driving up to the cashier to the final inspection of the work (They’re always willing to go the extra mile). I was so impressed by them that I had my wife’s van detailed there came back looking like when we first drove it off the lot, I didn’t think that was possible.

Great customer service, very reasonable pricing and the best detail service my fiancé and I have received. Before platinum car wash I always took my car to the Mercedes dealership for detailing services. After trying out this location based on good pricing and convenience, I will not be taking my business anywhere but Platinum.

My wife and I have both taken our cars here many many times — but the real measure of a business is what they do when they make a mistake. My wife went a few days before we moved to Oregon, the last week of May. When they finished, the rear seat would not raise up like it was when my wife arrived (she had already used it that morning, so we know it was working). One of the workers must have forced the car seat flat without using the latch, breaking the cable. The manager was kind in acknowledging the problem, and quick to tell my wife he’d make it right for her (depending on what the total cost was) — but when my wife kept calling to tell him the repair was only $ 115, he has never called back. We’ve given up trying, clearly they have no intention of actually repairing their mistake. So, buyer beware — if they damage your car, you may be stuck with the repair like we were!

I’ve visited the car wash many times. As mentioned by another reviewer, it’s pretty hit and miss as to what experience you’ll get. I do think that you’ll like your experience more if you buy a nicer wash, because it forces them to take a little extra time with your car if they have to shine the tires or vacuum. That said, if there’s a line of cars, you’re more likely to get a «miss» as they rush you through.
I recently brought in my car for a full detail and was impressed with what I got back. The nooks and crannies of the car were clean, including the tracks for the seats, around the center console, and the cup holders. The grime on the sun visor was gone. The dash, seats, steering wheel, and gear shifter all shone like new. You don’t notice how much build-​up accumulates on things until it’s gone! It was a much better job than I ever could have done. I was very happy with the experience and would do it again. (Tip: Don’t get a full detail when bad weather is in the forecast. You have to keep your windows cracked for a day so that the carpets can fully dry.)

This place can be so hit and miss, I come here when I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to wash and vacuum my own car, but today they did an exceptional job even spraying off my rubber floor mats, for 20 bucks I feel like I got my money’s worth. And my car smells nice too!!!

Yep. Worst experience. I bought a brand new car in June 2013 and took it to platinum about a week later because it is two or three businesses over from my workplace. Yeah they hit my car. Like crashed it. In the carwash… apparently their sixteen year old minimum wage earning car wash attendants aren’t licensed in driving manual transmissions as the one in the truck in front of my car didn’t put the brake on therefore causing the trucks tow hitch to roll into the front of my brand new white bumper. They paid $ 500 for it to be fixed after they offered me «wash coupons» to settle it.

My Dad kept wanting to buy a new car and trade in his Blazer but it was in such bad shape I thought we would have to give it away. It was filthy and smelled and no one liked to ride in it. I keep my own car spotless and have never had a car detailed before but I stopped in Platinum to see what it cost. I spoke with Scott and was surprised at the cost for a full detail but he explained what would be done and that their price is lower than most and he assured me he would take care of it personally and it would come back looking new.
I made an appointment and when I brought it in several days later the manager greeted me and made sure I was being taken care of. At the end of the day when I picked it up I couldn’t have been more pleased with the work. Scott was right. It looked and smelled like a brand new car. Several months later when I sold it through ksl classified it sold in one day and everyone in my family couldn’t believe that I sold it for several thousand dollars more than anyone expected. Thanks to Platinum! I highly recommend Platinum in South Jordan.

Great place! Choose whatever wash suits you, then relax while they do the work! I brought my Mama’s minivan here Sunday (⁹⁄₁₆). Cashier was very friendly, staff came in to confirm a special request I told another employee. Grabbed a soda and sat outside reading until they had my vehicle ready. Great job, Platinum Car Wash!

I took my car in after a long road trip to get it spiffied up. Nothing too bad, just crumbs and dust and too much time since a good clean. Sadly, poor job done by Platinum. Despite having what appears to be ample staff hanging around, the detail job on my car was not near worth the $ 150. When I picked up my car I found sap and bird poop still on the exterior. Bugs were still on the grill and near the flood lights. Despite being shampooed, the interior still left dirty between door and seats. (I had to point this out a second time after attempt two failed… I gave up after the third.) The trunk still had dried leaves in it. The door wells were not wiped out. (When I asked if door wells were included in the «full detail» I was told, «Yes, oops, we missed it.») The windshield was streaked horribly. After pointing out so many things the third time around, I gave up. Driving away, I found a lone fry between the seats. Friends and family were eager to see how my car turned out, thinking they’d take theirs in, too. Instead, we were all disappointed and plan to avoid it in the future. Disappointing. Too bad the employees took no pride in their work. Lots of polish, not so much clean. Big disappointment.

I love bringing my car here, whether just for a quick exterior wash or a more thorough interior cleaning. They always surprise me with how quick they are, and I’ve never been anything less than thrilled with how clean my car is when they’re done. And it’s not just a surface clean where your car smells like cleaning products. It’s a real clean that smells fresh and looks great. I live in Salt Lake but only get my car washed when I’m in West Jordan, Draper or Cottonwood Heights because I won’t go anywhere but Platinum.

I just happened to be in the car with a friend while he was getting his car washed. I didn’t have any major complaints from what I saw. But he was a snob I guess. When the car was finished getting washed he got out himself because he didn’t like the way the employees were drying the car. He wanted them to wax on, was off, not wax off, wax on. What idiots! I asked him why he continued to go there to which he responded «because it’s the closest one car wash.»
