This library is small, but they had really stepped up their game recently. I love the new story times for kids held multiple times a week. At least twice a month there is a teen activity, and also a family night activity like Legos or a movie. If I have a slower week and need something to fill some wiggly toddler time, there is a lot to choose from. If they don’t have a book you’re looking for, you can easily get it transferred from another location.

Note: This review is for the Bingham Creek Library. I like this place. It’s generally quite and clean and I usually seem to find what I’m looking for. There are plenty of sitting options to relax and read for a while if you’re in the mood. The employees at the back desk when I’ve had to ask for help ha few times in the past haven’t been very willing to assist… But the ones at the front desk seem friendly enough. I like that there is plenty of parking and a large cookbook selection. I’ve been able to find nearly any book I’ve wanted, and if the system didn’t have it, they’ve been willing to order it for me. The summer programs for kids are fun. My kids visit weekly and bring their reading charts in for small prizes. They look forward to it each time. Last time they came home with these super long plastic slinkies, I mean, that’s just rad. I found it weird that when looking through religious books, they separate out«anti-LDS»(their words, not mine) books into their own section. I found though that these books weren’t necessarily anti, but were just written by non-Mormon authors. Is that a typical thing here in Utah or in other library systems? Strange indeed. They also have a good selection of movies and music. You can usually find what you want. The automated, self check out system is fantastic, which saves you time from waiting in lines.

The biggest issue that I have about this particular county library is that it seems that the selections of business /sales materials are out of date. I like this library for the general sense that it offers many opportunities to learn, become knowledgeable and expand the horizons. But, in the same writing, I do wish that this particular library would carry more business /sales books that aren’t dated from the 1990’s and before!
