Bar Down Sports Bar & Grill

Came here because we were in the mood for calamari and we live close by, AND we always support local. We have a party of 3, get 2 menus (our 14 year old wasn’t given a menu), and the calamari is crossed off one of them. So many things transpired after this, I don’t even want to take the time to go over them. Don’t waste your time, your money, the gas to get here. This place won’t be open long enough anyway.

They mean well, but they have a long way to go. The beer was flat, the place smelled like sewage, the food was edible… barely. It took the server 10 minutes to notice us, even though it was empty that night, and then FOREVER for our food and drinks to arrive. The burger never saw a grill, had no flavor and tasted like it came off of a George Forman. I’m not trying to be mean, this was just our experience. Hopefully Bar Down will read this and fix the problems :) Everyone that works there was super nice and friendly though, so if you’re looking to have drinks and fun people to talk to, then this is the place for you :)

15 minutes before a server came over. Hamburger tasted like burnt meatloaf. Wrong flavor of wings on two orders. Beer was completely flat, Long Island ice tea was basically lemon juice. Staff is inattentive and lacking in customer service. I will never be back. Also naming your restaurant bar down and not having a liquor license to serve drinks without requiring patrons to order food is almost the definition of bait and switch although it is quite funny how many people were ordering drinks without a scrap of food in front of them including the couple who brought their newborn and child into your «restaurant». I’m sure the DABC would definitely find it awesome that patrons are able to walk in and out with alcoholic drinks while smoking within 6 to 10 feet from the entrance (25 feet from any entrance is the requirement for smoking per Utah state law). Also for those playing hold’em your dealer left the bathroom stall without washing his hands. This place is worse than then the Foxhole before it and that’s saying a lot.

Place is laid back, the bartenders are awesome! You will need to try Marissa’s wet pussy!!! AWESOME!!!

The staff in one word: AMAZING.
They are hardworking, they are kind, they are compassionate, they are caring individuals and they are REAL PEOPLE with real feelings and real families. I think bullies behind their keyboards, spewing away their obvious hate for their own lives, tend to forget this when they are lashing out at complete strangers. What a world we live in when this is considered normal…
It’s not hard to be a good person. Be kind. Always. You can still be objective without compromising that.

This place gets 0 stars. The service sucks! I asked for no Jalapeños on my sandwich and was served a sandwich with tons of Jalapeños. I sent it back, they gave me a sandwich with less meat and the same cold fries from my previous sandwich. I asked for new fries, they forgot about them. We had to ask for a beer 3 times. Every time my husband convinces me to come here, I have a bad experience. Hate this place!

This place was a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a late nite snack and they were open. You walk in and it looks like a small warehouse converted into a restaurant.

So we had the tacos and hot wings. HOLY FIRE Batman. The green taco sauce is homemade and delicious and you can’t stop eating it and it hot!!!
Tacos: Steak and pork. Ya you can’t go wrong on either of these. So good and the wings. Makes you wanna slap ya mamma!

Holy cow. Me and my husband decided to go for some drinks after dinner because of the such good reviews. Went on a Saturday night. I ordered a coronarita– the bartender didn’t know what that was. My husband ordered a tequila and squirt– she said they have Sprite does that work? HEL NO IT DOESNT!!! He then ordered a fireball and dr. Pepper. She gave him a cup of soda with a shot of fireball… You’ve got to be shittin’ me. Finally she figured out what a coronarita was. Another employee brought it out to me overflowing and spilling all over the place, it was blended (barely) with 2 of those tiny straws that are not used for anything ice blended. It was a CATASTROPHE. The bartenders had shots hidden behind the bar and would leave the bar area to drink– on top of that all of the bartenders were fat (not just a little) and completely unattractive. (Sorry) We spent 14 minutes there and will never be going back.

My favorite hang out! It’s a home away from home. I love the staff, the food is fantastic, and the full bar does NOT disappoint! The girls make delicious Bloody Mary’s! The environment is always friendly, fun, and peaceful! They have some great events, karaōke and poker are two of my favorites. And of course, Sunday Night Football. Come in with the family and enjoy yourself. It’s definitely worth it!

Fast, friendly, great food. We’re definitely going to book our next big-​game event here!

Alicia our server made a draft board just for us! She was great and the food and drinks were good too! I had the cheese sticks and the wings, I highly recommend this place. Have your draft party here!!! Prices were good and the atmosphere was fantastic!

Love this place! Love the new look and new menu, way excited that they kept some of the old favorites!
Prices are great and the Cubano is delicious! Tried the B.Y.O.B. and I can’t get over how flavorful the patties are.
Servers are fantastic, always friendly and smiling, and they made sure I knew about the events coming up! Can’t wait to go back!

Friendly customer service! The food comes out quick, and it’s delicious too. The Slap Shot drink was my favorite.
Improvements need to be made. This place needs better furniture, upkeep of the bathrooms, and to not have only one channel playing. This place has potential.
Hockey is my favorite sport and I expect this bar to have hockey on when the season starts! P. S: please add Louisiana Hot Sauce in your hot sauce roster!!! :) I’ll be back in a couple of months…
