Best restaurant in West Jefferson (though it’s only open for lunch.) Wonderful Roasted Red Pepper soup! They normally have a trey of cakes and desserts as you make your way in – grab what looks good because your choice may well be gone by the end of your meal. The sandwiches are made from quality ingredients with an absence of long wait times. Quite reasonably priced as well. This is a staple of our dining out in Ash County.

Best Roasted Red Pepper soup this side of the Rockies!!!
OK, so that was dramatic, but it was really good.
I had a Reuben, and ordered a bowl of soup as my side. The portion size is plentiful, so you can go with the Cup, rather than the Bowl. I was stuffed.
I really enjoyed this place. The staff was nice and helpful, and my food came out quickly.

Quaint and friendly with good selection of sandwiches. Had the Capri and roasted red pepper soup. Perfect combination! Pesto was very flavorful and spinach very fresh on sandwich. Soup was piping hot (as it should be) and very tasty. It did remind me of a creamy tomato basil soup. Will come by for lunch next time I am passing through:)

Wow! Their cupcakes and cookies are sooooo good! We stopped in for a little treat and were not disappointed. These goodies are homemade and delicious! They were also extremely well priced! I was shocked (in a good way) by the total. These cupcakes would be at lease $ 5.50 in Charlotte.

Stopped in for Saturday lunch while in town. Had the Reuben and potato soup which were both fantastic. Desert was homemade Pistachio cake, equally fantastic! Our server and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Will be back here again for lunch on return visits.

Visited West Jefferson for the first time today. Ate lunch at this deli. The food was excellent. Pannini style sandwiches. I got the roast beef cowboy sandwich with roasted pepper soup and my husband had the Gravel road chicken sandwich with a side salad. Both entrees and sides were delicious! We didn’t get dessert but they looked awesome! Definitely recommend this quaint little deli.

While its solid food, with a down to earth atmosphere, you will appreciate the warm smiles, fresh baked goods, and free coffee refills in these cold winter months!
