Description

Specialties

We are a full service dry cleaners. Our services include dry cleaning of all clothing, household items, area rugs, and UGGs.

We specialize in wedding gown restoration and preservation. With over 60 years and three generations, Ulster and Dutchess County has trusted us with their fine textiles.

We also have an on-site dry cleaning machine, and can come to your location and clean your window treatments (drapes, swags, vertical blinds) and fabric upholstery.

Scanlon’s has expanded into the fire and smoke restoration field, and can handle any job, regardless of size. We are fully equipped, and have storage space to house the textiles while the home is being repaired. We can bill directly to the insurance company, to save time and aggravation.

History

Established in 1983.

In 1983, after much demand for a local dry cleaners, the Scanlon family found the right location, and decided to open up a satellite store in West Hurley. It was an instant hit. Our store operated under the name «Governor Clinton Cleaners,» which was the name of our parent store in Kingston. Over three decades later, and a couple name changes, we have re-branded our business to be called «Scanlon’s Family of Cleaners.» Now in our third generation, we have expanded to five locations. We service thousands of regular clients on a weekly basis, and our tradition has been the same, all along.
