Sometimes you just need a good patio and a coffee in hand and all else just falls into place. For this, come to Zinque. Gorgeous space, with indoor and outdoor seating. Hi-tops, communal tables, and a long bar inside. Head to the counter, order your food and drink and find a spot to sit, relax and wait. When I was there, my gal pal and I brunched and shared the tomato & avocado tartine. It was served over Poilane bread from Paris(big selling point for me) and its drizzled with olive oil and a little too much balsamic, but still good. We also shared the Quiche Lorraine. We each had a cold brew coffee sweetened with condensed milk. Service was very enthusiastic on all fronts and our food arrived quickly and it was beautifully presented. If I came back, I’d probably take a little more time to look over the menu and try some different things, but overall a great little find! I can’t wait to check it out at night when the fire pit and twinkly lights are lit.

Love their desert, coffee and appetizers. Their portion is small compare to other places(more like tapas style so it can be pricey if you order 2 – 3 dishes). Nice ambiance and crowed

COMEHEREFORLEBOWL! Seriously so freakin’ good. That combo of egg whites, arugula, brown rice, manchego, and sriracha is near perfect. I had a meeting here once and ordered it on a whim. I’ve been raving about it ever since. I always opt for egg whites as my protein but you can also have smoked salmon or chicken. Freakin’ phenomenal. Ambiance is on point as is their service. Cute spot for a date or girls night! Highly recommend!

Many things stood out here. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, you’re sure to be left satisfied, if not impressed. We loved everything we ordered, but the brocolli green curry and fries were especially memorable. Our server was attentive and charming. Didnt catch his name, but he made sure we had a great dining experience. Definitely will be coming back!

I came here for brunch on a Sunday. I suspected when all the other restaurants nearby on Melrose were packed, with lines around the corner, and when I walked into Zinque it was half empty, that I would be disappointed. I was meeting a friend, and didn’t want to change plans, and I also believe in giving establishments a fair chance. It does get good reviews. I must have just ordered the wrong thing. I had the mini frittatas — one with cheese and one without — and they were both overcooked and dry on the outside. They were small, so I ordered the toast with jam to go with them. The toast was hard as a rock, and the jam was not homemade, but in a jar tiny that you can get at CostPlus. I expect more from a French restaurant. My friend had the avocado salad with quinoa, and said it was delicious. She also ordered a side of bread, and got a lovely small, soft loaf, and it was warm and wonderful. It’s a comfortable little restaurant with open/outdoor seating, cozy outdoor fireplace, and plenty of natural light. I just think the menu needs polishing.

Love the atmo here and the coffee & food is really great. I am obsessed with the tartines. Haven’t been for dinner yet, but excited to get into the extensive wine. The people who work here are super nice too!

The hostess was extremely sweet, the server was sub par, and the food was even less appealing. I’d say make the extra couple of blocks and go to Gracias Madre. Not impressed.

My first time here and I was extremely impressed. Great place for breakfast and brunch. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. One of my favorite was the salmon on toast. Also I requested for hot mint tea with honey. It’s a great location and has great setting. They also allow dogs. Will bring my little Pomeranian next time I’m back ^_^.

Cool place but they actually close at 1(they say 2 on Unilocal) Also I came back on another occasion and had another problem. The place was great but don’t go there if you want to drink while using your computer. They have a policy that you can’t use your computer there after 6:30, and they enforce it.(Even on a Tuesday when the place isn’t full).

Not mad at all. Don’t get out to this side of town much but if you’re looking for a hip brunch spot to enjoy before walking over to the PDC or eating with friends before heading out to Hollywood, a pretty good spot. While it ticks all the hip boxes(fluorescent lighting, smooth hard wood tables, pretentious cocktails) was actually very delighted to see sharable small plates and bottles of wine at a decent price. Ate amongst five, walked out about $ 40 each and not feeling weighed down. Normally, would say the area merits prices a bit higher — so we we’re happy. Also the service was pretty on point — as it started to fill later in the evening, was still serviced quickly for water and etc. Pro-tip: MoCA Pacific Design Center is right there, so would recommend having a bit of a boozy brunch and checking out the local exhibition. A small rundown of ze meal — Pros: — Tuna Tartare Tartine: DANG, the description doesn’t give it justice but a pretty tasty sharable. Pesto and little bit of Parmesan don’t weigh it down, bread is just enough — very delicious — Moule Frites: healthy serving, very good — Prawns: DEFinitely get these, not massive prawns, but a fair serving(probably about 9 pieces) has a bit of a kick to it, which I enjoyed, with a squeeze of lemon on top — heaven Meh: — Mini sausages: not bad — small sharing option, reminds me of those little smokies — Caprese Salad: pretty standard, fair portion though!

Their Brunch is awesome. Seriously a hidden gem!!! I’ve gone here with my girlfriends 5 – 6 times already on a Sunday after spin class and there is never a wait and we ALL love the food. Salmon & avocado toasts, their omelettes and bread are my fave. Their mimosa special is a great option. If you go enjoy!

Zinque — Zinque is a great spot to grab a meal before starting the night. The«Nicoise Sicilian tartine» is delightful. Also recommend coming here for their brunch menu as well. I definitely think there is opportunity to better their layout of their brunch on weekends. You don’t know if you need to get up and order or have someone that comes to take your order.

Went here for my Bday dinner, thinking it’s a fancy restaurant, guess I was wrong! I’m a down-to-earth kind of guy and this restaurant was perfect — nice, clean and had a relaxing feel to it. Has a nice bar with lots of wine selections, comfy room with table inside, and a lounging area by the fireplace outside. This is probably more of a lunch and brunch atmosphere. Although, we did enjoyed our dinner very much, and the service by Caroline was very pleasant. She advise and recommended on food and wine. Her attentive service, the food, the ambient, and the company made my night very special! Location is in the heart of West Hollywood! Will definitely be back here. Tuna tartar simply delicious!

Zinque is my go to when I want to a) splurge a little on lunch, b) want to visit the weho scene, and c) get a really good Instagram picture. Anyways, Zinque has trendy fusion-ish food. Their bowls are probably what they’re most know for and the ahi tuna one is particularly good. For when I want a heavier meal, I’ll get the tuna tartine which is equally as delicious as the bowl.(the tartine also has chips underneath the tuna, just a note) Overall, love Zinque and the food. My only comment is that it’s a bit pricier than need be, but definitely somewhere to try at least once.

Very cute restaurant! Great ambiance! Been here a few times and it’s always been great. The outside has pretty lights and is great for a date or even a night out with the girls. The food is great. The tuna tartare is my favorite thing on the menu. Great vibes, good food, friendly staff

I love the vibe of zinque. It’s so downtown grunge with French sophistication. They have such a pretty outdoor seating with trees all light up. I would recommend Moulles frites. It’s like their fries have crack in em. You just have to keep eating more and more. The broth of the mussels is so flavorful. Tuna toast has such great depth of flavor. They put salt and vinegar chip on top which gives it added texture and perfect amount of tangyness. The avocado tomato toast is great too(veggie option) they put some pieces of Parmesan cheese which brightens up the flavors.

Ambiance is cute, price point is average, prob $ 50 per person and all small tapa style(except the bowls are pretty big). The Food comes out really fast and for the most part tastes good. The only thing I DONOT suggest is the tuna Salad, it’s not tuna Sashimi but it’s similar to Canned Tuna on a salad. Service isn’t the best; but, I don’t really expect great service from this type of venue. The only weird thing that stuck out to me was the fact that the server did not know how to present and open a bottle a wine correctly and it is a «wine bar.»

All of the variables of this restaurant should have lead to a wine bar I would typically love. Given the options for wine bars and restaurants in WeHo, there’s not a lot of room to be sub par. We came for a work dinner and the service was not great. Our server forgot a mushroom flatbread we had ordered several times. Even after her reminding her, it never came and she asked us multiple times if we had eaten and forgot — which we hadn’t(we ordered three types of flatbreads for our party). The food is good — I had the avocado tartine and it was great. The wine was fine, but the menus were dirty and inexplicably there was a swarm of flies that wouldn’t leave our table alone. They also told us upon seating us that the restaurant would be closing 1.5 hours after we got there(they had to close early due to a scheduled power outage). Now I’m not sure how much notice the city gave them, but a heads up would have been nice considering we had a reservation.

Met with two of my girlfriends here right around lunch time which was crazy busy but we ordered food at the bar and found ourselves a great table inside. Our food came out in a timely manner but they messed up on one of my entrees so I had to send t back. When I asked the waiter what happened, he was quick to take responsibility for it and he apologized and since it took such a long time for it to come out again, he was kind enough to get us another round of drinks! That’s customer service! Even when things start to go south, to make sure the customer feels happy at the end of the meal is the most important thing and for that, I will def return again. Food — we ordered egg white zucchini frittatas and they were wonderfully seasoned and perfect for a post workout lunch and my girlfriends ordered chicken arugula salad which they both enjoyed as well. This place is perfect for lunch or quick coffee or mid day drink and central to everything on melrose! If it weren’t for the guy that was working behind he bar who was so kind to make sure to go the extra mile, I would have given this place 3 or 4 stars.

More like 3.5. I’m not one to visit wine bars often, so for what it was, Zinque fit the bill. The service was friendly, a tad slow at times, but nothing terrible at all. Comfortable space with nice outdoor seating as well as bright indoor seating. My friend had been there often before and I could see why. My one and only qualm was the bill. We each had 1(only 1!) glass of wine… no food or anything else. Yes, the wine was good and we sat for close to 2-hours chit chatting, but 2 glass cost us $ 37 not including tip! I guess I have a hard time justifying that much money for only 2 drinks. Not a deal-break, won’t stop me from going-back, just not a «cheap» place.

Love the atmosphere, location and design… love the fries, flat breads, and the sangria. But everything else is just«OK». Had the rigatoni with chicken, the sauce was extremely watery with no flavor and the pasta was over cooked. Le Bowl with chicken was mostly rice, not much arugula or chicken. I just feel like for such a great spot they really take the time to perfect everything on their menu. Also there was a woman changing a baby’s diaper on the sofa right next to where they sat is. That can’t be sanitary. The host that seated us definitely saw it but ignored it. I feel like it would have been a no brainer to ask the woman to handle diaper changing duties in the bathroom not in an open space with food and people so near by. Wasn’t impressed by the service or food to be honest, kind of bland.

Stopped in here for a casual lunch and fell in love immediately. I have to say, I do not love the whole trend of ordering at the counter, which you have to do here lunch Monday-Friday. It takes the ‘leisurely’ out of a leisurely lunch. But, I do love everything else about this place. Free wife, rustic reclaimed wood tables, lovely patio, and simple but tasty and thoughtful food options. The open faced tuna tartine was very simple but used fantastic tuna, the best Poilane bread from Paris, hard boiled egg and olives. The avocado and tomato tartine that my friend had looked fantastic as well. Prices are affordable and staff was friendly.

This is where the cool kids go to eat. Upon entering the cute courtyard, you’ll notice all the hip couples with their equally hip dogs. There’s a fireplace to the right where you can lounge with some friends while drinking wine. The interior entrance is to your left and there’s a counter for you to order food as well as tables, counters and some sofas in the back for lounging with friends. The ordering process is quite confusing as no one greets you, no one is at the counter to take your order and busboys pass you by without offering any assistance. We stood at the counter for a while before the guy took notice and asked us if we were ordering food to-go or dining in. I said we were dining in and he told us to have a seat anywhere. We went to sit at a table and 5 minutes later, a busboy appeared with a carafe of water and some glasses. It took another 10 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us and ask us if we were ready to order. I mean, really? The place wasn’t that busy and she had walked by our table a few times already! I asked for the brown rice bowl with rotisserie chicken but she said they were out of brown rice! She offered up quinoa as a replacement and informed me there would be a $ 2 extra charge for that. I declined the offer since them being out of brown rice does not constitute me having to pay an extra $ 2 for something that be offered gratis. I opted for the rotisserie chicken salad instead. My child got the pork banh mi and my bf got the zucchini quiche with a side of fries. Well, he wanted fries, but she told him that they were out of fries as well!!! So, he reluctantly got the salad. At this point, I was thinking WTF, why do people rave about this place? Out of brown rice and fries?! And these are two of your most popular items! Anyway, 5 minutes later she returns and tells us that the fryer has resumed working so he could indeed get his fries. Well, hallelujah! The food arrives shortly after and we all dig in. My salad was pretty generous and I liked the arugula and dressing. I wish the chicken was only white meat as I did get some pieces of tendon that I could have done without. The pork banh mi was tasty, but tiny for $ 12. Bread was also a tad bit hard and cut my mouth a bit. Quiche and fries were good as well, although kinda small for $ 12. Overall, the experience was nothing special, and the service could use some improvement. I spent $ 45 for this meal and we were all still hungry. PIX —
