Tomoka Nails

I visited Tomoka for the first time 3 weeks ago to do my nails for my 21^st birthday. I called to set an appointment and she contacted me that same day and we scheduled an appointment. She was so understanding when I was running late. I got the marble gel mani and she did an amazing job. I got so many compliments. Tomoka definitely enjoys what she does and is seen in her work. Definitely found a nail lady I can trust who will converse with you and is also sanitary. Not to mention she is soooo sweet. Thank you Tomoka!

Tomoka does exquisite work. Her spot is nestled inside a charming salon off Robertson Blvd. She is an expert at her craft, is detail oriented, and gets you in and out without having to sit there for hours. I really appreciate her speed, as I hate having my nails done. She did an excellent free hand gel ombré on me that lasted over 4 weeks. Go see her for the best mani of your life!

Was looking for a place to do a mani-​pedi in the neighbourhood and found Tomaka on Unilocal.She is gracious, polite, and professional, and the salon smells wonderful. Her specialty seems to be nail art, which was not what I was seeking, but it was reassuring to know she is cares about her work. The pedi was not as thorough on the callous-​scrubbing as I would have liked. The old-​fashioned mani was correct and competent, and is beginning to chip only now — 8 days after application. The salon is lovely, but the nail work area could be cleaner and more orderly. No discount for providing my own polish, as some places do.

This salon is an absolute gem! Such an amazing location, clean, organized, and a perfect way to spend an afternoon. Tomoka works incredibly careful and quick without feeling rushed. Best gel manicure I have had. Coming back here every time!

I absolutely loved Tomoka. She works in a beautiful salon, in a separate room that is so zen, you will relax and refocus, while listening to relaxing music, sitting back in a plush silver chair and looking up at a nice crystal lighting fixture. Tomoka is very talented with Calgel, she is also very nice and its great to be in a separate room, not a huge bustling salon, loud and busy.
Have to say the receptionist is not very friendly, perhaps that’s not part of her job description LOL. but don’t let that get to you, Tomoka is a wonderful!

Usually I go to Tomoka for gel nails and everyone knows her gel nails are amazing. Just recently I got a moisturizing facial with extractions from her, she did a nice job gently cleaning my face she followed it up with a face massage… When it was over I felt like a was floating on a cloud for 2 hours. All in all a good experience I floated out of the salon with a clean face and perfect nails.

As a nail art connoisseur, Tomoka is such a gem. Her work is just as good as any top nail art salon, without the prices and wait of a place like Es Nails. She’s very meticulous and works with Cal Gel which is an added benefit… although she also has gelish, shellac, and basic polish if that’s your thing. Cal Gel is applied from a pot and takes a pretty high degree of skill and it my experience lasts a few days longer that the other gels.
Her room is in a salon just off Robertson behind Petrossian. It’s mostly 2-​hr metered street parking.

Tomoka is super awesome! I’ve been going to her for at least 2+ years and she never fails to do a great job! I get gel with a glitter fade and I always have strangers compliment me on my nails. Her prices are fair and my nails always last at least 4 – 5 weeks, even the cute bows/​diamonds stay on just as long!

Perfect job!!! Tomoka is awesome! She does very good art nail, she works only with you, it’s not like other nail spas where people coming in rush and 10 ladies work on 25 different chairs. Tomoka works personally with each client, it’s very nice and it makes you feel important as a client. Price was moderate. Overall, she does amazing job!

I went to Heart Nails primarily because Tomoka uses Cal-Gel…Also a co-​worker recommended her some months ago. I called for an appt. today and was able to get in within the hour. The place is very quaint and Tomoka is a doll… My manicure was exactly as I hoped for and so reasonable… I was out of there in an hour and 15 minutes. I usually go every 4 weeks and am anxious to see if this lasts as long as my manicures did when I went to Marie’s…I have already booked my next appointment and will report back after that one!

Wow, It is sooooo nice to get a mani pedi here. Seriously your in a separate room with complete focus on YOU! Whenever I’m in this area I book with Tomoka. She does the best job, I don’t have to worry about unsanitary tools or dirty foot baths that a million other people have used! She doesn’t have a massage chair, but I don’t care. The service here is better than anywhere I’ve gone with those chairs! She’s also super easy to talk to and you can tell she really cares about her customers. Tomoka is great! She uses calgel which is an awesome quality gel nail polish. I was referred to tomoka and she was so quick at getting back to me. Her meticulous technique made my nails turn out great!
I am so happy with the result, she is located in a very cute salon. Tomoka is sweet and talented, very happy I have a new spot for nails!

Tomoka is amazing. Her gels last more than 2wks. She is very professional and excellent at what she does. I drive from
Pacific Palisades because her work is so good. Well worth it. She is friendly and cordial and listens to your needs. She does not try to upsell you Her prices are great and she takes credit cards,

Tomoka did a great job on my nails. She works in a Nice quiet location so she can just focus on her clients. Overall, I thought her products and nail colors were great. I will definitely be back in two weeks. ;)

Tomoka is great. She is professional and friendly. Unlike the other review, she was very willing to help me based on my convenience and my experience with her was nothing but positive. Also, she uses both calgel and bio gel with base price of $ 40. This may sound ridiculous for those who don’t know the benefits of calgel, but I was so happy to find a nail artist who uses calgel AND is available to accommodate me based on MY schedule. She has a pretty wide selection of colors/​glitters/​holograms/​and other deco available. But I’m sure she can mix colors to create a specific color you want if it’s not on the color sample. She was previously with Marie Nails and is currently working with Candy Paint, so needless to say she is talented with all the credentials. She also has connections with Esnail, so go figure!
She is practically fluent in English so communication should be no problem.
It is street parking, which is the only downside because street parking just makes me nervous.
But yea, definitely check out Heart Nails by Tomoka! It’s a little bit tricky to find because she shares the salon so there isn’t a sign that says «Heart Nails». But if you just go to the address you’ll see a brick plaza-​like structure with white gates. Just find the «salon» (I forgot the name), press the intercom, and voila! You’ll see a tidy salon straight ahead!

16 days later and not a SINGLE chip in my CalGel manicure. Very impressive.
