Service was great! And the sno was light and fluffy! The guy was super kind and gave us samples of practically every flavor possible! I ended up getting the chocolate with mochi on it! I’m usually not up in WEHO very often, but I’d stop by again if I were in the area on a hot day!
You can park across the street in the parking structure and if you are there less than an hour I think it was free!

I freaking love snobar. It’s my guilt free dessert treat blah blah healthy! I always split a large with one or two other people and it’s so refreshing. Doesn’t stuff you but satisfies my sweet tooth! I love the taro. I love the rose and the servers seem genuinely happy to serve you! Hahah.

I stumbled upon Snobar while waiting to get a massage. The place was empty with just one worker on his laptop. I wanted to turn back around as soon as I stepped in but he had already stood up and so I felt obligated to stay.
I looked at the menu and realized I didn’t want anything on there and I couldn’t even force myself to pick something. He recommended the honeydew shaved sno and we followed his suggestion. I wasn’t surprised when it wasn’t very good.
Another group made the same mistake of walking in and they sat outside next to us with their shaved snow. They also commented that it was just alright. I wanted to reach out to the brother and express my same sentiment towards this waste of $ 5.

With Obama supporting gay marriage and Travolta no longer booking all the best massage therapists, West Hollywood has lots of reasons to celebrate this week. WeHo should also be rejoicing for Snobar on Santa Monica Blvd. serving up some of the lightest and healthiest ribbons of soft shaved snow in So Cal.
The Snobar version of a Taiwanese dessert legend is more feathery and less sweet than many others I’ve tried. I liked its subtle flavors. It was much more like eating shaved cotton-​candy or slices of snowflakes than eating ice cream, yogurt, or shaved ice. Like Adam Lambert, I’m not sure exactly what «it» is, but I like «it.»
Free samples and smiles were offered by an über-​energetic guy behind the counter, so, we took him up on his offer. The Rose and Taro flavors were memorable, but Olivia opted for Green Tea with Condensed Milk & Mochi while I tried a more decadent Peanut Butter with Chocolate Malted Milk Balls & Chocolate Sauce. Both were as fabulous as the service. Loved them both.
A small (12 oz) with 1 topping was $ 4.50. This isn’t the cheapest post-​workout treat around, but it sure tasted worth it. We lucked into a meter parking spot right in front, so, this truly was our lucky day.
Can’t wait to come back to try the Osmanthus flower, Milk, and Honeydew flavors. It may only be a matter of time before Obama and Travolta come out in favor of Snobar’s feathery Shaved Snow Ice, but I’m officially announcing that I’m «absolutely comfortable» with eating Snobar Shaved Snow «fairly and equally.»

Eh, this place is okay. It’s an interest idea and love that it is low calorie (+5 points in my book!), but you are basically eating ice with water down flavor. Went here with a friend who wanted to try a vegan ice cream/​ice shaved place. Again, it’s okay. You are able to try as many flavors as you want if there isn’t a long line. Seemed pretty dead when we went. The honeydew is pretty good.
A small is $ 4.00 and you pay extra for toppings. I believe it is about $ 0.75 or $ 0.50 depending on the topping. You do get free sauce (condensed milk, chocolate syrup, any sweet syrup) topping.
If you want to try this concept, be my guest.

The concept is interesting and the fact that its a pretty low calorie dessert makes it the better option but not enough to make a trip out for.
$ 4 Small Mango w/​Condensed Milk — 2.5 stars
A cross between ice cream and shaved ice. It’s bland in flavor because of the ice but refreshing and light. Once it melts the condensed milk can get overwhelming.
Tried it once but probably won’t crave or come back.
This place is set on a very trendy street in WeHo so parking limited to street meters.

Meet Snobar. A fierce dessert place right in the middle of Weho with cool art, blasting some unce, and a fabulous worker who is excited to serve us. Now that’s what I’m talking about. I was impressed with the different flavors they offered and the ability to let us sample some too. A few flavors that stuck out to me were the Rose, honeydew, and osmanthus… another type of flower.
They say it’s less than 100 calories for the 12 oz which I believe because it definitely tasted more light, fluffy, and not as sweet compared to other snow shaved ice. They use purified water infused with different flavorings, think of it like a frozen yogurt version whereas other Taiwanese shaved ice places are heavier and dense because their snow is used with condensed milk.
Their topping selections is similar to Yogurtland, with a variation of candy, fruit, and jellies. Each topping is an additional 50 cents but the awesome syrups are free. Try the mango sauce! One complaint I have is that the serving size is a bit small, snow shaved ice is meant to be served in a wider container rather than the cups they use at yogrtland. It was difficult for them to smack on them extra toppings in the small cup on top of the snow, and we all like our extra toppings na mean?
Overall, a nice healthier alternative to my other favorite snow shaved ice locations and I’ll be back for more if I’m in the area.
Fyi, they give 10% off to students with valid ID and apparently they have AYCE on Mondays for $ 6 from 6−12pm.

The perfect light, tasty, refreshing dessert! This is as good as FroYo but less creamy so you dont feel heavy after. The staff here is great and they are more than willing to let you sample a few flavors. In SouthEast Asia, they have a lot of these «Milk Ice» types of places, so seeing something similar in WeHo is so fun! Its definitely not like a snow cone… I think a lot of people confuse it with that syrup-​y junk.
Any-​vey, my favorite is Mango, then strawberry, then Taro. Peanut Butter is good but I think the fruit flavors are better for this Icy treat. The toppings are great and dont forget your free squirt of condensed milk after! Nom Nom all the way to SM BLVD for this treat!

Yummy! If you’re looking for a place that serves delicious and real «shave ice» in LA/​Hollywood then you need to go here. They have a great selection of flavors and toppings. Street parking is pretty easy to find and there is a lot but we haven’t parked there yet.
The guy behind the counter is super nice and he makes suggestions based on what you’re feeling. My boyfriend tried the little fruit balls which are the translucent balls that pop when you put them in your mouth. What comes out is a sweet little flavoring! Definitely interesting! They don’t skimp on the portions and they definitely don’t skimp on the toppings.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating and it’s on a nice part of town. I like grabbing a cup and sitting outside people-​watching and oooohing at all the cute doggies that walk by.

My friend suggested to try this place out if we were ever in town since there is nothing comparable to it up here in the bay area. Its hard to explain what «sno» really is. The really nice worker explained that it was a combination of shaved ice and ice cream and was actually healthier than froyo.
We were in the area for a friend’s birthday and decided to swing by before heading to Ktown. We had a lot of samples since we had no idea what the hell «sno» really was. Lets just say that everyone LOVED it.
I ended up getting a small Rose Sno with mochi on top. It was delicious and a small was enough to share with 2 other people.
I tried to convince the worker to tell to owners or his boss or whoever to franchise up in northern california. There is a froyo place on every freaking corner but this «sno» concept is wayyyy better than froyo… Its hard to explain how refreshing this is. Its not like froyo at all except you get to choose your toppings just like other froyo places.
Come! you won’t regret it.
FYI, parking might be a hassle but park in the lot right next door and get your ticket validated so you don’t have to pay for meter parking on the street!

I’ve loved you for so long. I’ve swiped parking spaces in your tiny lot, I’ve shared you — even on cold nights, outside under a heater, with the people I love the most. I’ve run to you in my polka-​dot pajama pants just to get a swirl. But its over now. Its not you, its me. What we had was good… but…
SnoBar is my new favorite thing.
I just returned from my first visit to SnoBar, which was also my first time trying this style of shaved ice. It’s not to sweet, a wee bit creamy but still light and airy. It’s like Cotton Candy and FroYo had a love child.
I wish they had giant chairs so I could swing my feet in happiness as let the layers of sno melt on my tongue. Instead, I stood dancing in place to the trendy music, head bopping with the bass… feet doing the happy dance. The workers there were so sweet, that I didn’t even feel awkward doing so.
My BF had the Honeydew with a touch of condensed milk. The honeydew tasted like fresh fruit. Yummm. I had the mango with strawberry and mango syrups drizzled on top. I finished my $ 4 small before we made it out the door and had to order another!
Service was awesome. Make sure to ask about the specials — the workers let us taste a few flavors that weren’t on the board: Green Tea and Osmanthus Flower (yeah, I never heard of it either — but it was good. Flowery like Violet… but natural and light and doesn’t taste like your Aunt Mathilda’s special perfume).
The syrups are all free. The ice is a wee bit «dry» on its own — so they add something in terms of flavor, as well as texture on the tongue. They charge $.50 for the other toppings (mochi, popping boba, cereal, nuts, candy — the same ones found at all the yogurt joints), but I didn’t feel like any of them would add to that perfect airy, creamy melty, tickle-​your-​tastebuds-​with-​a-​sno-​feather bite.
Finally… wait for it… the adorable young women who helped us said the small — sans toppings is only a hundred — one hundred — 100 — calories.
I am scared now.
I’m scared I’ll be back there every single day.
I have already decided that tomorrow I will have Peanut butter with chocolate syrup. Well… then again, maybe it will be Rose with condensed milk.

The Snobar guys were so sweet, excited, and accommodating when we stopped in on Halloween night. It was very crowded that evening but they still let us try a bunch of samples. I really liked how enthusiastic they were and how happy they were to work there.
The shaved snow was great, I really like the mango flavor. It went well with fruit toppings.
Definitely planning to come back next Halloween!

After going to Blockheads Shavery for some authentic Taiwanese shaved ice, Snobar just doesn’t compare.
Same exact concept… pick your flavor, toppings, and syrup. Compared:
Ice flavors — the flavors are more potently infused into the blocks of ice at Blockheads but Sno offers a larger variety of flavors
Size — Blockheads gives you WAYYYY more for your buck — the large is a size of a dinner plate vs. Sno’s Pinkberry-​esque cups
Toppings — fresher and more generously given at Blockheads (could be due to the size of Sno’s cup)
Don’t get me wrong — service is great so if you happen to be in the area, why not? But parking is also extremely horrendous in this area… After circling around for 15 minutes, we parked at Pavillions and walked over to Snobar — a good 10 minute walk each way.
3 stars for Snobar, –1 for the parking situation.

If you haven’t been here yet… get your tush in there! It is so good! I tried about every flavor because the guys working were so enthusiastic and wanted to be helpful. I loved almost every flavor. yummmm! The peanut butter and rose were my two favorites, but I ended up getting some random seasonal flavor that was not on the menu…
Also I don’t think it is on their website but they have this amazing topping called a fruit ball or something… it looks like boba (tapioca ball) but it is red and in a thin shell full of tart strawberry… mmm!
The texture really is as amazing as their website describes it.
They recommend you eat each layer of ribbon at a time for the best taste experience.

I haven’t written a review in quite awhile but I am happy to write one for this new establishment in West Hollywood – SNOBAR!
I was able to go to the opening last month and was very pleased to be treated to free SNO-​so I was able to try multiple flavors. The most interesting flavor on the menu that day had to be the Rose flavor – it is just a flavor you don’t often come by! The staff was really great and I loved how one of the employees were skating around with the SNOBAR logo shaved on the back of his head. One asian grandpa just had to take a pic with him.
My 2^nd experience with SNObar was having them over for a catered party of 60+ people. This was a non-​traditional baby shower (guys, gals, kids and grandmas) on Halloween weekend. The SNO was a hit with all ages and there was actually a line to get the SNO! We had both Mango and Honeydew flavor that afternoon. Most people who were there had never tried Taiwanese style shave ice before and went back for large seconds! It definitely made my baby shower memorable and I would recommend having them to cater to any large party!

Shaved snow is the new fro yo. With a bunch of places popping up across LA County, what does Snobar have to bring?
Good refreshing flavors with a major thumbs up because it doesn’t have a crazy amount of sugar. Melon flavor (like the korean melon bars), regular milk flavor (not too creamy or heavy), chocolate (mild)…
Not as thick and milky as it possibly could be but that should not deter you from trying the heavenly shavings. For $ 5 – 7 I would expect to get more though… They also charge per topping.

Mouthwatering. Unconventional flavors — and I’m not talking about that aftertaste Pinkberry gives me, I’m talking Honeydew, Rose, Strawberry, Chocolate, Green Tea (the mild, non-​artificial flavored Green Tea) because Snobar does it up with natural flavoring and seasonal availability.
Snobar is a welcome response to the tired trend of pump-​your-​own-​yogurt that gets more expensive by the topping since you pay what you pump (and scoop, toppings-​wise) by the ounce. At Snobar, the fluffy, shaved ice is initially doled out in samples, and should it not tickle your pickle, there’s no guilt in walking away. If you find it as enticing as I do, you’re looking forward to trying all the flavors available. You can add toppings; last night, I went for Honeydew with white chocolate and marshmallows, which was divine — additional toppings do add to the cost, but with the right combination, they enhance the flavor and texture of the ice. I can’t wait to go back. Welcome to West Hollywood, Snobar, may you prosper so that I don’t have to hit up Yogurt Stop or Pinkberry by default. Please don’t make me, I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna. Can’t wait to see what other flavors await!
I’m grateful Snobar is a few blocks from where I live, so I imagine I’ll be walking there a lot; I imagine parking is a bitch, but Snobar’s delightful treats help curb the bitchiness once it’s in your mouth. Yes, that’s what she said. Now get to Snobar.

The owner was so friendly & attentive. He let me sample all the flavors & even gave me a coupon for next time! They definitely got this one right. Very light & fresh flavors :)

–Love the concept! This place reminded me of Taiwanese shaved snow + «Get Shaved» where you can customize a shaved snow in a rather ‘fast’ timely manner
–Variety of flavors; heard their most popular flavor was mango & second most popular is melon which tastes like melon bars
–We saw a DJ on the 2^nd floor on a Friday night? But thought it was interesting because the place was pretty empty
–Very friendly!
Cons
–Same concept as the «Taiwanese shaved snow» but not exactly the same… or maybe it’s because I tried much better ones elsewhere; both the texture of ice & flavor was lacking
–You actually don’t get as much shaved snow because they don’t fill it up all the way, but they do offer free tastings
–Parking, parking and parking… we luckily found parking 3 blocks away, but doesn’t seem like it will be easy looking for parking
–You will have to pay for each additional toppings
–There are only few tables inside & out

Snobar is a nice change from the many frozen yogurt and ice cream shops around every corner. If you’re wondering what exactly shaved snow is, it’s really just a mixture of flavored powder, water and milk which is then put into a huge metal tin and frozen. Then it gets ‘shaved’ in this huge shaving machine and you end up with these fabric-​like ribbons of snow that you can add toppings to or eat as is. I think it’s good as is, but if you want I would suggest adding some condensed milk to your shaved snow.
These shops are all over the San Gabriel Valley, but it might be one of the few in the WeHo area.
