Wow! I just left there without purchasing anything. Of course he was late in opening again and this is the owner. I made a comment about them being late in opening again. He asked me if I was the one writing the bad Unilocal reviews. I said yes. He asked why I kept coming back there. I said the product is good, which is what I’ve always said in my reviews. He said «yeah but why do you keep coming back here». I said again because the product was good. I told him he may be a shitty business owner by the product is good. He told me «stop fuckin coming here». I seriously thought he was going to punch me in the face. Obviously I’ll never go back there or to the one in Santa Monica (he owns both) but you would think as a business owner that you would, first of all, BE ON TIME! And second, try to make your customer happy. This guy was an idiot. It’s too bad because max muscle has good product. By the way, his name is David I think. Avoid west Hollywood and Santa Monica stores.
Haha he just commented on my post stating I came in swearing. Wow! A crappy business owner and a liar too. He’s upset at all of the complaints on Unilocal aside from mine. On top of that, you just admitted to being late with a crappy excuse. I’ve already made a complaint to the max muscle corporate. Avoid this place if possible!

I ran out of protein and typically I buy from Crunch as that is my place of employment, but I decided to try this place. I’ve been to power zone before ehhhhh :/​customer service here was A+. I dealt with a dude named Sevan (sorry if i misspelled your name) but he didn’t try to sell me. I’ve been a trainer for 4 years, with 4 certifications (one in nutrition), so I like to think I’m pretty well informed on supplements and how our body utilizes them and which ones are B.S. and which ones have some merit. He sold me the same way I sell my clients. Honesty. I really like the protein powder at Crunch, but its nice to switch it up every once and awhile. This place is exactly what I was looking for. This store was a real find for me. They stock what I need and there is none of the strange attitude and heterosexual anxiety that I experience in other nearby sports nutrition stores. Matt, the owner, is a wonderful guy. If you want a world class bodybuilder to give you input and suggestions, check out Max Muscle.

Got two words for you: SHA-​DY. Not one of the products is marked with a price. When you ask the manager what the prices are, without fail, he replies with ‘that’s — uh — $ 99, but don’t quote me’. There are only about 50 products there; I’m sure he’s memorized the prices by now. But no, he quotes what he thinks you’ll pay, then says ‘but it’s flying off the shelf’ and ‘I’ll give you 20% off.’ Textbook used car salesmanship. Not to mention, the products just aren’t that great. And you CAN’T RETURN ANYTHING, only store credit. I wanted to go with a small store, but I’m back to the chains.

I live very close to this store, I went there at least three times but they were close, different hours like 11am! 4 pm and 10 am all closed. Finally I went today around 12:30. I need a particular pill. They didn’t have but he wanted to sell something else to me. I said no, I am looking for this particular brand. He gave me an attitude, throw the bottle that he had in his hand down in the drawer something and as I am waking out he whispered something and laughed! Very rude!!! I’m never gonna go back to this place! Across the street, next to 24 Fittness, «POWER ZONE», go there, everybody is friendly! They did not have the particular brand I needed and no one gave me attitude!

Came here on a Friday morning and doors were locked. It is 11:15am now. Sign on the door said it should be open — horrible first impression

Absolutley love this place. It’s not your generic stale supplement shop. The staff is hands on and knowledgable. Matt especially was so nice and helped me customize a supplement plan to suit my goals. Definitely my fav supplement shop in LA.

Being one of four supplement shops within a mile of me can make it hard to choose, until you find Matt & Charlie full of nutritional info & willing to share it openly with you. Everything I’ve taken has worked as described and produced desired results. There are product lines you won’t find nearby as well as Max Muscle’s own FDA/​USDA-​inspected lines. I still shop all four places, however, some key items I’ll only source here.

Terrible selection. Terrible location. Terrible service. In other words, this place is just terrible. I walked in after a workout down the street and granted, I was a little tired and probably hungry. That’s also why I probably fell for the high pressure sales routine by the sales guy on steroids who could tell that I’m not an expert on protein powders, so he sold me probably the most expensive one in the place.
I realized later that I really didn’t need this level of protein mix and called to see if I could return it. Was told that I because I was calling on the 7^th day after the purchase that I couldn’t make a simple return even though I hadn’t opened the protein powder container and it is still sealed. His explanation for no refund was lame as was his ability to try to sound honest about it.
This is a place for random customers who don’t seem to know much about nutrition and can be mislead by high pressure sales. Go to Power Zone or N101 Fitness instead for better customer service and sales people who aren’t just interested in the quick sale. They actually care about building a better customer base. I made a mistake in going to this place, I won’t make that mistake again. And this probably explains why this place is almost always empty while the other places nearby are busy.

Suplements are the basics in every sport especialy if you do your workout. The best suplements and also in pricing you get it in Max Muscle West Hollywood. Dont waist oyur time with other shops, you do this for your body and your body is your temple so go and do the best for you and your body and injoy your time in Max Muscle!

Granted, I am in WeHo where health stores are bountiful. However, after stopping in many of them, I actually stayed and purchased my protein from here. The sales associate was extremely helpful and he actually looked like he works out and knows what he is talking about… You’d be surprised how many non-​healthy people work at these places.
Point being, I told him what I wanted and he knew exactly what I should get and which flavor I would like the best.
Though small, Max Muscle is able to lift the competition out of the water! When visiting the area again, Max will be my go-​to place for sure.

Yeah! Max Muscle has made it to West Hollywood! There are plenty of supplement and nutrition shops in West Hollywood, so is there a need for another? If it’s Max Muscle, I say «yes». Their stores are clean, employees knowledgeable and don’t try to push their products on you. I swung by today after the gym for a protein shake and was in and out in a minute. I’ll be back when I need to stock up on protein and other supplments.
