Restore Your Floor Hardwood flooring is a third generation hardwood flooring company. Hardwood flooring has been a family tradition since 1945.

John Rouse grandfather Gus started in 1945 as a wood floor installer eventually opening his own business in 1957 in Sacramento California

when I was 17 fresh out of high school I went to work for my Grandfather the company name was Gus Meindger & Sons Hardwood Flooring located in Carmichael, California near Sacramento. john worked with his Grandfather till his retirement .then went to work with his Uncle Gerald Meindger of Sunrise Flooring as a apprentice for his cousin Danny Meindger. He was eventually offered a position as journeyman for Smith Flooring .His next position came from the largest Union company in California by the name Boberg Wood Floors working on large comercial sports floors such as the floor for the NBA team Sacramento Kings sports franchise, also all federally funded high school gym floors
