Food is good, but the portions are small. Had a chicken Shwarma plate, compared to most places they barely give you any meat. They forgot my hummus which annoyed me. Salad and rice were good. Nothing to write home about

I visited the West Hollywood location, I placed a semi-large order and everything is done wrong. I ordered the Kevin’s VEGAN wrap which means NOANIMAL products, NOCHEESE, no DAIRY nothing and it has feta cheese on it! I tried calling the store btw and NOONEANSWERED so now I have this wrap just sitting here not getting eaten. I ordered Pita Chips with TRADITIONAL hummus but was given some sort of weird grainy, green hummus that is spicy(Jalapeño?) and I do not like it, no one in my office likes it and i’m upset. I was most looking forward to the pita chips and hummus and introducing my coworkers to this delight. I ended up eating it reluctantly bc my vegan wrap was all messed up. Now, I hate myself because I don’t like this hummus at all. There was more to be upset about but I left that in my personal email complaint to the restaurant rather than blast them on the internet. I fully expect them to reimburse me for my wrap and pita chips and hummus. So irritated. I’ve been here several times before and have ordered delivery multiple times and it’s always been great but this is upsetting and the fact that no one is answering my calls or emails is also irritating.

Rice was Really good but chicken was beyond dry and vegetables were beyond overcooked.

Small portions. No sides with sandwich. Rip off. Stay away. He defends no sides by saying food costs are too high. FALAFELS? Garbanzo beans! He said that sides are giving away free food! This guy is a cheap creep. Go to Veggie Grill. Better food and sides included. Packed every night.

Best Greek in town hands down. Everything fresh and clean. Very tasty choices to choose from the menu. Friendly staff great and a great cook. Baklava was also on spot, not to sweet not to dry… Will go there at least twice a week.

The food is amazing! It’s too bad the employees make the restaurant look closed down. The third time I walk by, I realize it was open. Hey! George! Your employees really suck! You would think a savory place would do well with 4 bars, right there!!! That said, the food is amazing!

The best Greek quick eat in weho. Their cilantro humus with fried pita chips is great so is their lentil and avgolemono soup.

Since we live very close to this restaurant and love Greek food we have given this place a try on a few occasions. Every time they disappoint. Shame on us for giving them another chance, but it was definitely the last. Why on earth does it take 30 minutes to make a panini? This when the only two other occupied tables already had their food. I had asked the lady at the counter on one occasion why they were so slow, she apologized and said the cooks were new. There are WAY too many other good restaurants in the area. Don’t go here unless you have time to wait for hell to freeze over!

I’m probably the biggest fan of George’s there is! The food is delectable, the staff is wonderful, and I love the atmosphere and late weekend hours… easily my favorite Weho spot :) Highest recommendation to the Mediterranean grilled cheese, the cilantro jalapeño hummus, and the angus grilled steak! Thanks for always serving with a smile in there– keep up the energy!

We went there for dinner for Halloween, and had the Angus $ 20 steak kabob. The steak was salty, and some wierd texture to the meat. Took forever to get served, so slow. Just not sure what that steak really was. It wasn’t steak like you would expect, it was weird. Did not taste that great either. processed steak? No veggies on the kabob either. Waste of money. If you have it, and don’t agree with this review, please let me know, «Great greek Steak you say», Angus at that, please let me know, Or if you agree, I would like to know that too. I was very disappointed. Thanks for reading.

We were having a friend over and I had no time to cook so… decided to order a selection of mezze from George’s to be delivered. We had the Double Dip($ 8) with tzatziki and roasted pepper hummus and lots of pita chips, the spanakopites($ 6) and the large sized feta fries($ 6). The dips and pita chips were pretty good and the feta fries are addictive — but hard to have them nice and hot when you order delivery. I wasn’t as impressed with the spanakopites(bite sized — hence their name), but then again, I find spanakopita to be pretty much always disappointing. We ordered via Eat24 and the $ 5 delivery charge was something that would ordinarily put me off ordering from George’s, but they also have a $ 5 off coupon with a minimum order of $ 25 so… I got through that. But I was ordering food for several people — if just ordering a normal dinner, I wouldn’t hit that minimum and I would not pay $ 5 for delivery, so I’d pass on this place. Menu looks very interesting so I might consider a pick-up order. Food was good and delivery driver was on time and nice enough. Keep in mind if you’re in party panic and need someone to bring you some nosh suitable for sharing.

I recently walked in and ordered take-out. Chicken Kabob with Jalapeño Cilantro Hummus, Side Greek Salad, and an extra side of Basmati Rice. I think the guy taking orders was new as he took five minutes to take my simple order and had to call two guys over to help… train your staff up before putting them on the floor — or have someone ready to help right away! This was annoying. The price was around $ 18… a little steep for one walk-up takeout meal but okay… I then sat and waited for twenty minutes for the order. I know this because I checked my watch when the food was handed to me and the time on my receipt. A little slow, but I’ve found that most Greek places take a while when you order kabobs. The good news is the food was pretty fantastic. The side Greek salad was amazing compared to what you normally get in a side salad that comes with your entrée — this had black olives, feta, tomato, red onion, crispy green lettuce. Well done. Chicken Kabob was marinated and good and came with several dressings and dips. The Jalapeño Cilantro Hummus was good but it didn’t come with any pita bread(even after I asked and was told«Yes it would come with some»). What kind of Greek place serves an entrée that comes with hummus without any pita bread?! The rice was good — I only ordered this because it didn’t come with it in the entrée. So overall food was pretty good, but the service, speed, and extra details aren’t up to par for the premium pricing.

I really want to like this place more. Food is really very good. Best gyros in town. Large portions, healthy options, traditional fare, with some modern twists, at a reasonable price. They are always very nice. However, food service times are hit and miss. I’ve eaten here at least a dozen times since they’ve opened. Two-thirds of the time, food comes right out. As happened again today, it wasn’t so good. I waited over 20 minutes for a sandwich. Orders placed after me were served. A large delivery order was being prepared, I heard her take the phone after I finished ordering. Yet my gyro was still not here. I went inside and noticed that the 3 people seated together who ordered ahead of me, 2 had half finished their food, and the 3rd was still waiting, with apologies and excuses being made by the server. My order finally came, in a to go box. I was eating here. I was asked if I wanted a plate. That shouldn’t have had to be asked. I had some words with the server. I told him I have recommended this place to many people, and have heard some feedback about this. Please I hope the owners read this. I want you to succeed. Businesses open and close in this area on a dime. There’s tons of competition, and I know the rent is high. Your food is awesome. But the kitchen has a serious problem, and I hope you will address it ASAP.

My original review was a good one. I recently went back for dinner on a Monday night and walked out feeling like I needed to punch something. Seriously frustrating when you go with someone and sit at the same table as them but don’t get to eat with them. Yes, I got my food after my friend was already done eating. Even all the people who ordered after me got their food first. I was so upset I wanted to ask for a refund and go eat somewhere else, but my friend asked me to stay. By the time my food arrived I had lost my appetite. The food could have been good, but I was seriously too upset to enjoy it. I could have been eating cardboard and not notice the difference. Not to mention that it had been sitting up there for quite some time. The girl was too busy packing everyone else’s ToGo orders to deliver my dinner. I even walked up to the counter twice to check on my order. The younger gentleman told me 5 more minutes… So, it took 35 minutes for me to get my food. It was COLD when it arrived at my table. I thought they may have traveled out to a farm somewhere to catch my dinner. Maybe they need to train on workflow and being aware of customers. Stop taking orders if you can’t handle it… I hate being a jerk but I nearly had a stroke while waiting for my food! ALSO, I ordered the exact same plate from my first visit. The pita bread was missing and one of the sauces. The owner/manager messaged me to notify me that chicken takes longer to cook. Funny, because my buddy ordered chicken as well. Just for me I guess. What a crap response. I won’t be going back… ever…again.

A new gem in WeHo. The food is good quality but a bit oily. I tried the chicken and beef Shawarma and it tasted really good. The ambiance is great and the staff is friendly. It’s a great spot for lunch and dinner.

*** 3.5 stars *** George’s is pretty good Greek food. Not the best Greek around, but the portions are generous and the quality is good, making it a solid choice in the neighborhood. I had the chicken kabob plate with the greek salad and basmati rice. The rice was the best part — very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The chicken tasted fresh but could have been a bit more flavorful. The pieces of pita were very small so I couldn’t wrap my kabob up in it the way I like to, but I guess I should have ordered a wrap if that’s what I wanted. We walked down and ordered to go, which took quite a while, but as others mentioned, it might just be growing pains. And when we get home and unwrapped our order, we found it to be meticulously wrapped with everything that we could possibly need to go with our meal. The prices were fair, especially given the large portions. I’d eat George’s again, but mostly because it’s convenient and the only Greek in the neighborhood.

I came here for a quick bite last night with a couple of friends as a pre-drinking pit stop before we started raging. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. It’s in a great location on the Weho strip, but parking can be a nightmare at certain times. We ordered the falafel, feta fries, and the lemon chicken as a wrap. We waited a long ass time for my chicken wrap, probably over 20 minutes and then I walked to the counter to discover they totally forgot about my order. I was so hangry at that point that I just told them to cancel it and got a refund. But a few minutes later, they gave it to me anyways and apologized, which I appreciated. That all being said, the food is actually very good. I love the flat bread they use for the pita and the flavors were on point. And I have to disagree with some Unilocalers. I think the prices are reasonable considering the quality and also the prime location. It’s just a shame that they messed up and forgot about my food. I hope they get their act together. :(

This is hands down the best gyro around. The side of basmati rice was off the hook too. That’s all I had so I can’t recommend anything else but I will return and try the Greek Salad. As good as it gets for the price.

Ha ha ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha This place has absolutely no chance of making it What they call Angus steak is a skirt steak Soak it in salt and overcooked The grilled veggies are red peppers and onions and they’re not even grilled I cannot begin to tell you what a rip off of the steak plate is $ 18.50 Do not let yourself stumble upon this place Well the manager is nice and the busboy Was cool The food is absolutely inedible : In response to your reply… If that looks like 10% of the steak, the Steak would have covered the entire plate You’re mistaken saying that I ate 90%, I tried to eat about half And it was flank steak /skirt steak Anybody would know that But I had to stop because I truly feared that I might get sick Further there’s no way anybody would call that food perfectly seasoned and marinated It was salt soaked If you expect to succeed at that location, selling food at that price, you’re going to need to up your game quite a bit Hear me now and believe me later Customers are not going to return to eat that slop Your manager, at your own behest, relayed your desire to remedy the situation, I told her : Go one block down the street to eat a meal from the restaurant«tender greens» And she will see what $ 12.50 will buy you in the way of the lamb plate I stand by my review It was spot on The food was in fact inedible

On a recent Saturday night, I stumbled upon this place with several friends as we were about to make our rounds in WeHo. Deep in the 10 o’clock hour, a few of us hadn’t eaten dinner yet and we were clearly about to get our party on in the nearby bars. George’s was an easy find because it was well-lit, it looked fresh and clean, and the word«grill» tells me what I’ll eat will be satisfying but not too heavy — exactly what you need to keep you satiated through the night! I ordered the chicken shawarma which was pretty good. The meat was tender, moist, and succulent and unlike other shawarmas I’ve encountered where the spices of cumin and cinnamon shine, this had a stronger curry flavor. I’m not complaining. It was still delicious. It was even presented on this unique triangular plate. While not the cheapest shawarma I’ve had, this is an expected price scale for the neighborhood. The place itself has ample seating for couples or groups. I love the communal high chair table because I love sitting on stools. The furniture is modern and as I mentioned earlier, it’s well-lit and they play bumpin’ beats so you definitely won’t be falling asleep on your way to the clubs. Heyyyy! I’ve been to WeHo enough times to know this is a solid place to grab a lighter bite that isn’t subpar pizza or burgers. This seems to be a better fast-to-prepare-food alternative to what’s around on the block.
