I thought I would ease the process of having my son’s party by sending out Evites instead of paper invitations. Boy, was I wrong! I got a premium invitation, sent the Evites out (which took WAY longer than it should have!), then found out that I had 2 outdated email addresses. Instead of letting me change them like any normal website would, I had to use up my «allotted invitations» to resend them. Crazy! What a horrible business model. Never using again.

I wish I can give less than 1 star. Their selection of the designs are wide, however, you can NOT customize. So my baby shower theme brown and green came out Gray and green. Second, there is NO social media or App that you can use Evite with. How long as Evite been in existence? Highly disappointed. Third, when I send out invitation, my guests get confused which button to click on to find MY registered gifts list, not what Evite wants to sell. In fact, the button that Evite put out is even bigger than my gifts link button. Besides all that, there are random Ads all over the places, UI is horrible.
I understand as a free tool they need to make money, but they could be smarter about the Ads placements, and they could work out a deal with all potential registration sites, isn’t that sounds much more profitable AND user friendly? I’m surprised it’s actually still in use — well, first and last time for me.

This site is a generator of SPAM. They are providing no way to unsubscribe from unwanted e-​mail solicitations. They should be blocked from using the internet!

Paid up for Premium Evite and it does’t even have all the features that the free evite has. Just cost me a whole lot of hassle. Beware that the premium evites do not have the option of allowing guest comments to be made visible to other guests. Just made my potluck into a nightmare, as I told everyone to include their dish in the RSVP to avoid duplications. Got a lame excuse after complaining to Evite about this.

Trash. DON“T DO IT! Had the worst experience ever. Finished doing my invites and thought they were free, and at the end was charged for them.

Disappointing… Be careful if you use this using corporate email addresses. Evite will not be accepted through the firewall of corporations. In my case, I had to resend a copy through the regular email.

Worked well when it first started YEARS ago, but has gone to crap.
Simple concepts of changing your log-​in emails is not possible. HOW DO YOU NOT PLAN FOR THIS IN A PLATFORM DESIGN?
Tried contacting their (un)Help and it was pointless, they seemed to not understand what we were talking about.
Worst customer service as it took months to even get a response (after several emails).
I stopped using this, but some friends still send me invites, but I don’t get them since I don’t have access to that original e-​mail anymore.
That being said, I’ve found a work around, either download their app to get invites and/​or sign up for text notifications.
Just stick to Facebook invites or Paperlesspost

Easy to use, however, dont think about changing your email address ever with Evite. You basically cant change it. I changed my email from yahoo to gmail. Can you change it on evite. The answer is NO. Because in order to change an email address on evite the new email must never been used. So if someone had already sent you a new evite you are out of luck. You cant add your new email address to evite. Can you merge 2 accounts on evite. The answer is NO. BYe Bye evite. I cant use you.

You pay for no ads, but loose functionality, speed, and apparently common sense. I use evite regularly for small events, under 50 people. It works great. My company is planning a large corporate party celebrating 100 years in business so we decided to upgrade to the commercial free postmark. It’s no upgrade. It’s beyond awful. And it’s not even the money, we’d pay more if it worked. It has less features than regular evite. A note to all tech-​ies out there, this company had a great idea, but has become complacent and ripe for the picking.

After having minor problems with a previous regular Evite, I thought maybe the premium Evite would be an improvement. Actually it was worse. Couples and families couldn’t respond with more than 1 attendee, if a person didn’t open it, there was no way to change the email to a different address without paying more $, several of my guests said they couldn’t figure out how to reply. When I tried to reach Evite customer support I received a generic reply that they were upgrading the website and it would be working better soon. No one ever addressed my specific problems.
I ended up emailing everyone and asking them if they were coming or not. What a waste of time and money.

OMG! Postmark does NOT have a mobile site — so nobody can even access it without a PC! No tablets, either!
And when I presented their lame-​ass tech support with a few simple questions, they answered one — and when I repeated the other two questions, they answered the same one AGAIN. I D I O T S !!!
Oh, BTW, the reason the Postmark invitations say there are no events is because it’s not even integrated with EVITE!!! You have to log into Postmark… they don’t even say that on the eVite site.

My fiancé and I decided to have a small wedding party instead of eloping, so evite seemed like the natural way to send out quick invitations. I even thought «I’ll pay them and use one of their fancy premium» cards. I picked my favorite one out (
) then laboriously jumped through their hoops to build the card. I’m not going to slam them item by item regarding the various problems because I was willing to take those editing issues in stride in the name of getting my card out (note: I finally had to embed my text WITHIN my image and ignore their text edit facility).
My fiancé and I reviewed it. Added our invitees. Paid their fee. Send it out. Then the real problems began…
1. We immediately got reports that the card just flat out did not work on iOS. So I sent an announcement to everyone to open it in a real browser not a mobile browser.
2. We then got reports that the card requires Flash? Which explains iOS problems and eliminates all people who do not care to have Flash installed on their PC’s. I should have suspected it was Flash but I’ve gotten so used to this ubiquitous thing called HTML5 that’s been out for 5 years now. Who would use Flash still? Sigh. So then I start replying with our card’s text contents to anyone who had problems.
3. THEN I discover that there is «NO RSVP FACILITY»!!! Apparently, the card template I chose way back in my first step doesn’t have one. There’s no option to turn one on/​off or even a NOTE that this card does not have an RSVP facility. So now I have to contact everyone individually and get their RSVP…
So to summarize. I’ve ended up having to send text emails to everyone and receive their RSVP’s via their replies while paying evite to make me look bad.

If you are thinking of sending a nicer evite by using Postmark — PASS. It is a total waste. I’m not even sure their technology works. Several of my invitees opened their invite but it didn’t register on my event planner and I had to send a follow up email. In addition, they don’t even have an automated reminder for the event 1 week out or 3 days out or anything! What a disappointment. I could have just called people one by one with less hassle.
If you read a good rating, be skeptical. That person probably works for this techno-​albatross.

THIS PERTAINS TO THE «POSTMARK» division of Evite ONLY. I have always used evite and love it. For my boyfriend’s 40^th birthday party I decided to go a little more fancy and use Postmark. IT IS HORRIBLE. From day one I had problems. The interface is not user friendly — people I sent invites to didn’t receive them. People who viewed and responded were not indicated on my managing page — so needless to say — I had to personally call or email each guest to get an rsvp. I WILL NEVER USE POSTMARK AGAIN. THE WORST!

The graphics are beautiful, but I had a ton of problems with the interface. I’m hoping that switching to Chrome, as they recommended will help. But I didn’t know about that until about 4 weeks into the process.

I wish I could give this NO stars. While Evite is great and easy and FREE… unfortunately they are now associated with POSTMARK which is a waste of time, energy and money! DO NOT USE POSTMARK. I am now skeptical about evite and not sure I will use them again.
While I was in evite’s website, I accidentally clicked on a «premium card», I spent hours inputting over 50 new names and email addresses, THEN found out this was a card I had to PAY for. I was so frustrated that they did NOT tell me that when I clicked on the «premium card», that I needed to pay for it… THE TELL YOU AFTER YOU CREATE IT!!! I would have been happy to have paid the $ 5 if they had told me up front, but as a matter of principle, I was p*ssed!
I decided to pay the $ 5 since my daughters birthday is only 8 days away. Then it continued to say, «system error», over and over and over again. Finally, a couple hours later and another «system error» message, it went through. Then I got an email saying they charged me the first time even thought there was a system error, after calling my credit card company, they told me there are several pending fees from them!!!
THEN… those 15 credits/​invites you paid $ 5 for… WELL… each time you add someone to the evite, they deduct an invite. So it is really NOT 15 invited you get to use, it is only 15 emails you get to send for even this one evite!
I WILL NOT USE POSTMARK AGAIN. WHY DID EVITE HAVE TO GO AND RUIN A GOOD THING!
There more glitches, I don’t even have time to get into right now… another one is you cannot put an ending time for the party.

Ditto with all the 1 star reviews. I have had nothing but trouble for a site that charges for invites. I foolishly thought that by paying, I would have some support on the management of the invitation. No such luck. There is not way to search who is viewed the invitation. There is no way to resend the invite if someone did not get it or it went to spam. There is no way to send an update for just a few people. And if there is a way to do these things, it is not explained or very obvious.
BEWARE: DO NOT USE THIS SITE. You have been warned.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use Evite Postmark. From day one it was nothing but a hassle to use.
1. TONS of glitches when you try to purchase more credits to send invites. It continuously had «Service Errors» and asked to restart browser or try again later. Tried at least 5 different times and finally gave up. Super annoying!
2. It wouldn’t let me allow guests to invite up to 3 people to the party even though there was a check box for it. For days, I emailed and contacted them on Facebook. FINALLY got someone to respond after several days and they said they had to manually do it. Ridiculous!
3. Several guests had issues even opening the invite and would get error messages. Ended up having to email them the party details. Again ridiculous!
4. The credits that I actually paid for and what was displayed was constantly incorrect. Sometimes it said I had enough to send. Then I’d come back later to send an invite and the available credits disappeared. Shady!
5. If an email address is incorrect and doesn’t get delivered at all, you have no way of knowing if the invitee ever received it or not. There should be a way that Evite will let you know if an email address is invalid and give you the option to resend to a correct email address. Currently, if an email address is wrong, you’ll have to pay for another invite to send.
Why pay all that money when they make it so difficult to use or to even get a hold of anyone when you are having issues. Won’t be using this site any longer for the many parties that I plan.

My ex girlfriend signed up both of us for Evite. Her email as the primary and mine as the secondary. For 3 years now I have been trying to get Evite to separate the emails so my ex does not get all of my Evites.
Evite cannot nor will not separate the accounts. I cannot even close the account. My email is my company/​work email so changing emails is not an option.

The idea is fabulous but the execution is absolutely not up to par!
Isn’t the number one requirement of an invitation that it actually makes its way to its destination? With evite it is more of a guessing game. If you have a typo in one of your guests email or if you just have an outdated email address for one your invitees than you will never know! Shouldn’t there be a notification in the system that the email that was used is not a valid one?! Wouldn’t it be nice to know that the person you thought you invited in fact never even received an invitation?
In addition, even if you are using correct email addresses and have managed to avoid any typos then your evite might still find its way directly into your guest’s spam folder. Who checks their spam mail nowadays? Again, your fancy looking evite didn’t make it to its destination…
Another caveat while using the system is that it is just as unreliable during the process of creating the evite. On several occasions invitees’ email addresses have just been lost from the list while imputing additional addresses. You definitely have to make sure to count the number of invitees and make sure they are all there before saving your final evite and sending it out.
So, all in all, evite allows you to create a fabulous invitation that might just never make its way to certain invitees. It seems like evite is just stuck in time and is not looking to fix these major flaws that have been an issue for years.
