I highly recommend Alex Steele for your photo-​shoot! We booked Alex to take anniversary photos of us around the city of Chicago in a 90-​minute shoot. I am very type-​A so I really appreciated the level of responsiveness and accommodation that Alex provided. She was very prompt with her email, I was able to discuss ideas I had months in advance, outfit options, and even shared my Pinterest board with her so she was very aware of what I was looking for and delivered just that!
She also accommodated an outfit change and multiple locations. She spent just over two hours with us and did not rush through the photos at all, even offering suggestions or taking extra time to put us in certain poses or locations that would allow her a good shot. Our photos — digital and film style! — were delivered to us within two weeks and we were really happy with the results. She is clearly a talent and very good at what she does.
During the shoot, she was so easy to work with and encouraging — always offering her honest opinion and making us feel happy and relaxed throughout. And if you can believe… she did all of that and delivered this level of service while being nine-​months pregnant!
I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Alex again for any of our family shoots in the future! High quality photography and equal level of service! Thanks again, Alex!

She took our family portraits, and managed our group very well. Alex arranged us, photographed us, checked the lighting, rearranged us, and kept at it until everything was just right. It was difficult to choose which photo to use for our Christmas card because she captured so many great ones!
She gave us the files for over 50 beautiful photos from the family portraits, and explained several different printing options beyond the basic 4×6 that we did for our Christmas card. I am very happy with both the digital and the physical products, and hope to book her again for next Christmas!

Alex is awesome to work with and I would recommend her to anybody. I have worked with photographers in the past that aren’t very responsive and frankly not very personable. Alex has a great personality and her main concern is getting her clients great pictures. She is totally open to input but also has a great eye and vision of how to get stunning shots. Alex Steele is literally a rockstar. She is talented in every thing she does, but especially in photography. Her images are stunning, and she does a remarkable job at capturing people’s most significant moments.
