3.1 Phillip Lim

I never cared much for 3.1 Phillip Lim as a brand before I visited this store, I’ve always been more of an Alexander Wang wearer myself. But Natasha made me feel so welcome, I keep coming back to shop with her. She’s so sweet, she makes great recommendations, and because of her, I am now a fan of 3.1 Phillip Lim. Honestly, this is one of those brands where you have to see the clothes in person to appreciate how beautiful they are. They carry both the men’s and women’s collection, so there’s a LOT of clothing, bags, shoes, and accessories to look through. The boutique is beautiful, spacious, and well lit, the fitting rooms are comfortable, and the staff is amazing. Not the easiest combination to find in LA.

If I could, I would live in this store. Jaime, Ronnie & Desiree are the greatestestest.

This past weekend I had the great pleasure of visiting the West Hollywood flagship store. Once we arrived to this chic mecca your eyes are instantly amazed by the architectural design of this showroom.
The showroom was lined with wonderful ready to wear pieces. Everything was visually appealing and displayed by coordinating colors/​styles. The selection and sizes are limited. Some of my favorite pieces were sold out. Even so, I managed to find a beautiful bag for 40% off retail. *Swoon*

First of all, the store has the most beautiful architecture. But, where are the clothes? They’re scattered around the store, a t-​shirt here, jeans there, but nothing is in one central location. One might argue that this adds to the overall feel of the store, but I don’t want to have to walk into all of the little mini-​rooms that he has scattered to find the things that I want. I love the designer, and I bought my first real designer dress from him, but I just wish that he could make his clothing a little more buyer-​friendly. His t-​shirts certainly don’t look like they’re worth $ 200, and not even $ 70 on sale. I still have tremendous respect for the clothing he makes, though. I just hope that when I return, I can find something in my price range.

Beautiful space, amazing clothing. What more can you say? I love Phillip Lim and this store makes me weep because I want to blow all my money here and look lovely ²⁴⁄₇. Did I say the space is beautiful? I want to live here… seriously.

Phillip Lim clothing makes my heart sing — LITERALLY. The minute you walk in, you’re greeted with the most amazing clothing display I have seen. The store is an architectural dream… I love it. Can I say that one more time — I love Phillip Lim!
I got the most amazing grey runway dress… awww, I can’t wait to wear it. (Dear Rain Gods — go away. I have a new dress to floss.) I also was able to get an amazing Holiday 08 skirt that they had hidden in the back (they let me shop in the back). All of their past season stuff was 40% off — YAY! Only thing better than Phillip Lim is Phillip Lim on sale!
The workers were nice, non-​pretentious and oh so helpful. There was even this $ 800 shirt that I loved that he let me try on, knowing damn well I was not going to but it. That’s how cool they were…
I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town again. The most amazing sale associates matched with the most amazing clothes. :)

hooray for hollywood! phillip lim has arrived in LA. after visiting the soho location over july 4^th weekend, i had to check out the new LA digs. each store is very different in décor but same gorgeous clothes and friendly service.
thank you shannon for all your help with sizes and styles. visit them now and check out the samples from fall 2 and fall 3. i spotted a beautiful ivory dress from fall 3 collection that i can’t wait to get!
