This is the worst pediatrician office. We decided to bring our son here for his first check up. It was a nightmare. They made us wait for the Doctor in the check up room for 45 minutes with our baby in his diaper. We could hear Dr Blackman complaining about all the newborn appointments scheduled at the same time. When she finally came in she had no information from the west hills hospital yet. We had to wait longer and she even sent us to the lab to have more blood drawn from him because she still didn’t get the info from west hills. We were there for two hours!

Doctor Weidman doesn’t beat around the bush, he always gives it to you strait. My son is a teenager now and he always help me with what to do next. My son has seen many doctors in his short life and Dr. Weidman is his FAVORITE doctor ever and that says a lot coming from a teenager with attitude. He is smart, kind and funny. All the front staff office have always been nice, respectful and very helpful over the phone. The office is always clean and I’ve never had to wait too long. I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Weidman or his staff. Would definitely recommend him! Love you guys, your the best and keep up the good job.

I have been to this office three times in the recent past. Nothing specifically bad per se but it wasn’t the right fit for us. The initial visits with the newborn felt slightly rushed and the handling of the the child by the nursing staff appeared a bit rough around the edges.
I would have expected a walk through on areas such as how to cut the nails, handling the newborn and other pertinent information for new parents. However, they do provide you with a booklet with some good information to read on your own time.
Our experience could be due to us being new parents and potentially over reacting. Overall, I think this office is likely a good fit for most people. Clean office, experienced doctor and the front office seemed nice. However, if you like a fair amount of hand holding, guidance and extended one to one time with the doctor there might be other options that are worth exploring. We found a better fit for our specific needs.

I started seeing Dr Weidman for my daughter in January after moving to this area. She was 2 at the time. He was great and I was so pleased that he also became my sons pediatrician from the day he was born, which was also in January. He has only seen my daughter once, but has had many appointments with my newborn son. He came to the hospital every day after he was born and I have been to his office multiple times.
My son has an appointment next week which will unfortunately be his last. We are moving. I hope I can find someone who can replace Dr. Weidman for my kids, he set the bar pretty high.

So this office is pretty good.
This guy is my son’s current pediatrician. He is a good doctor and i would recommend.
I will say that i wasn’t entirely happy that i was seen 45 min after my appointment pretty much the last 3 times there, But the guy does seem to know what hes talking about. I like that he takes a minute with my wife and I to answer all our questions.
I read some say he’s arrogant, cant really say i saw it like that, i would call it confidence. There are a lot of ½ pediatricians that shouldn’t have a license… This guy doesn’t fall in that book, he clearly knows what he’s doing. i have been to 2 peds before him and he is by far the best.
He even heard a murmur that his previous two docs failed to mention. Now granted it turned out to be nothing but im glad he takes the time to listen and properly diagnose.
His office is nice and clean and MOST (not all) of his staff is friendly.
I would give him 5 of 5 if it wasn’t for unfriendly girl that sits behind the receptionist and the usual 45 min to 1 hour wait.

Dr. Weidman was my daughter’s doctor for approximately 14 years… until she moved out of the area and reached adulthood. During the many years we maintained a relationship with the office Dr. Weidman and staff was amazingly responsive to her needs and ours. He is a great listener and very sensitive to the discomfort experienced by children who are ill. On her visit (for an earache), Dr. Weidman sat next to her to show her that he was a doctor she could talk to and not just an authority figure. Over many years and quite a number of injuries and illnesses, there has never been a time where Dr. Weidman has been unavailable. I don’t think Dr. Weidman ever sleeps.
He has an amazing way of connecting with patients as they reach the teen years and, as my daughter reached college age — able to schedule her own visits with a doctor of her choosing, she continued to see Dr. Weidman.
While Dr. Weidman was always there to discuss any concerns we might have had he was not about to order any tests he felt were unnecessary «just because we suggested them or wanted them». Correspondingly, (and particularly since we were PPO patients, and the doctor was compensated for each visit, or test) when he felt that no treatment was necessary we knew that our concerns were not being ignored. However, when treatment was recommended, we knew that Dr. Weidman’s concerns were to be taken seriously.
Highly, highly recommend Dr. Weidman!

I have been a patient with Dr. Weidman for 10 years, and I recently got Medical and he refuses to see me because they won’t get as much money from Medical for my care. Dissapointed that Weidman is all about money, as a doctor he was decent.

I have 14 month old twin boys and couldn’t be happier with the care we have received from Dr. Weidman and his entire staff.
Everyone is friendly and helpful. We have never had a problem getting a same day appointment for sick visit and have never had to wait too long in the waiting room.
My husband and I both appreciate the direct, no nonsense approach from the doctor. He is absolutely on top of his game when it comes to keeping current with studies and treatment. There is never any ambiguity in a care plan.
I am so grateful that we found this practice. My boys have always been treated with respect and compassion by every person there. As a mother I appreciate this as much as I do the top notch medical care.

Husband and I began using Dr. Weidman for our newborn and love his practice. Nurses and staff are great and so thoughtful. Great hours. Dr. is very patient and straight forward. This is my first baby and my husband & I are in our 40’s which not sure if that matters but we definitely do our research.

Both Doctors are excellent (Weidman & Beerman) along with a wonderful and very helpful staff. I’ve been taking my newborn to see them and I feel she is in the best care. They are caring (has appointment slots just for newborns so they won’t be near sick patients since they don’t have their vaccinations yet), helpful (I call and ask questions frequently), and efficient (my daughter needed to see a specialist and they got us in quickly). I’m a first time mom so any help is appreciated. Also, they don’t just care about your newborn, they care about mommies too. It was very sweet to ask how I am doing/​adjusting to motherhood. I have nothing but the best things to say about the entire staff! If you want quality care for your child, I highly recommend this office.

HUGE shout out to Dr. Weidman. My son was complaining of ear pain, and my husband showed up at the office right before 9 a.m. without an appointment in the hopes that they could fit my son in. When Dr. Weidman got there just before 9, he told my husband that he had to make rounds at the hospital and wouldn’t be back until 9:45. But he saw that my son was in pain and saw him BEFORE he left for the hospital. THAT’S what a caring pediatrician looks like. Thank you, Dr. Weidman!

Disclaimer: This review is based upon my experience with the office and front desk, as I never got the opportunity to meet the doctor.
I called to make an appointment with Dr. Weidman for the first time, as I wanted a second opinion on my child’s diagnosis. He had been sick and on antibiotics for over a month.
The office confirmed they accepted my insurance and asked if it was a health check up or sick visit. I told them it was for a sick 8 month old. I was then asked if I was going to be a permanent patient and would fill out the medical release form from my previous doctor. I explained that we had never met the doctor before, so how could I make that decision without at least one appointment.
I was put on hold and when the receptionist returned she said that they would not see my son. She said that the doctor does not do second opinions and they only accept permanent patients, «it’s just one of our rules». They literally refused to see a sick child because I did not agree to switch doctors without ever meeting him.
So, I cannot attest to the doctor’s actually capabilities, but I can say that my interaction with his office was a less than favorable experience. Having such a policy seems counter to a profession that is supposed to care for sick children.
Be prepared to pledge your allegiance ahead of time should you wish to schedule an appointment with the doctor.

Smart, caring, rational, and very good at communicating information. We’ve used him for both our young sons. A little surprised by the very negative review given (jojo).Yes dr Weidmann is confident, but do you really want an insecure modest guy in charge of your kid’s health?

Dr. Weidman has been our pediatrician since before our daughter’s birth over a year ago. I immediately felt comfortable with him at our initial interview. He’s very straight-​forward and doesn’t waste time by coddling the parent too much. The reviewer that says he has a God-​complex sounds like they have their own control issues. I appreciate his ‘no b.s.’ bedside manner.
Other thoughts:
I’ve never met a doctor that stayed so current on the latest studies and books relating to their field. His website contains a wealth of information for new parents. Check it out.
The first time our daughter had a fever, he immediately responded to our page at 11pm on a Friday night. It was a low grade fever, but it meant the world to frantic new parents.
We couldn’t be happier. I trust his opinions implicitly. I wish I could find a general practitioner for myself that was as good.

Doctor Weidman looks after my two kids. He has seen my daughter since birth. He and his staff are very accommodating and knowledgeable.
I like how he leaves the early morning appointments open, just in case there was an overnight emergency.

This is the WORST Doctor I have ever come across in my life! He is so incredibly arrogant — I now understand about the God complex that I’ve heard some doctors have. Completely unprofessional!!! His website states «My staff and I work in partnership with parents,» This is completely the opposite experience we’ve had with him. Among other things… I asked him to run a certain blood test for my son and he refused. He ended up walking out on our appointment, leaving my little boy in his diaper crying. His level of professionalism and bedside manner is horrible, he doesn’t return a phone calls because he’s «so busy»… please, I want a doctor who cares about my child not his ego! If you care about your child, don’t bring him to this guy!

Dr. Weidman is an excellent Pediatrician. His staff is very responsive and I was never turned away or delayed with a sick child. He can do some rather sophisticated blood work right in his office which allows him to catch some problems without delay. This was a huge asset in early diagnosis of a serious problem our child had and he wasted no time in referring us to experts at Children’s Hospital. He is kind, caring and good humored. My kids are now over eighteen and still like to see Dr. Weidman. It will be hard for them to ever find a more attentive doctor with his high standards of care.
