Went in to look for a lighting accessory. Got sent to 5 different aisles by 5 different associates. Finally, someone took the time to call over to the electrical department. There I was met by a surly associate who grumbled that the piece I was seeking wasn’t sold individually, that I would have to purchase the entire lighting fixture for 40.00. He acted like I interrupted his nap. He was nice enough to refer me to a local electrical supply company. I left.
Really think Home Depot needs to kick up their customer service big time. So tired of wandering aimlessly around Home Depot looking for what I need, this is not the first time I’ve had this experience.

The staff here are very incompetent. No one knows anything and they are rude. Usually have a great experience at my local Home Depot, but this one is horrible. Would recommend no one shop at this location.

Why is everyone walking with a chip on their shoulders. And why do you feel the need to be condescending to your clients. The white dude in the paint dept gets A+++. Thanks homie.

After recieving an email that my online order is at the west hills branch I went to pick it up. When I got to the customer service, it took them apprx 30 minutes to get my order from the back. When they brought it out, it was still in the wooden crate!!! and they expected me to take it like that. I asked for a manager (which I almost never do) and she told me to come back in half hour and it will be ready… when I came back it was ready. It wouldnt have posted this review (every business screws up now and then and I don’t expect everything to be perfect), had it not been for their sh_​_​_​_​ty attitude about this.

Home Depot employee DENISE, female with blonde hair, is EXTREMELY SLOW at the return desk. Every time I go, she is the only one at the desk. It takes over 30 minutes each time. PLEASE REPLACE HER, she is unbelievably rude and takes way too long to do something so simple. Give her a job she can handle like cleaning the bathrooms.

Walked in to Home Depot with a handful of my hard earned money and the desire to get a new lawn mower asked for help and was referred to someone else for help. Got no help. employees seem to have an I don’t care attitude sluggish and non engaging.
Not at all a good shopping experience.

I tried to get my key copied there and they fucked it up… TWICE! So unless you want help from a bunch of retards that can’t operate one of the simplest machines to help you, avoid this place.

The worst Home Depot been at. I was looking for Honeywell thermostat control which is a $ 200 item it took me a while to find associate that he can help me out where to find it. he told me it is located at the end of the store So I walked all the way there spent about five minute trying to find it I couldn’t. I find another associate he said it’s in a different place which is I walk there and a again couldn’t find. Finally after about 20 minutes trying to find the item I run across the manager of the store and ask him what I’m looking for he said with an attitude we keep those items locked and all ready the store closed I have no access to it. Come on really I explained him that I wasted 30 minute try to find it where based on wrong information from the store Associates and he still can’t help me what a great customer service!!! Supposedly this item it’s locked in a place that when the store closed that place close with it to and he has no access to it !!!

Nora helped me get my Bar B Que grill. She was awesome. Very willing to help and went over pro’s and cons. It helped me make the right choice. It’s nice to find helpful people who actually care.

This is the worst most unorganized Home Depot I’ve been to in the United States. The employees don’t even know what «tack nails are» or self adhesive drawer paper. In addition the didn’t know the brand Owens Corning for insulation, even after looking on my phone at the website. The didn’t know anything about the inventory. The woman in the home blinds area was on a highly personal call while the rest of the kids working this location were just wandering around the isles goofing off. I’d give it negative stars if I could. What a dump.

3 stars for the very slow service. But overall The Home Depot is pretty straight froward. Get in get what you came for and step out. Very helpful staff however very slow moving lines at the cashier.

The lady that works there on the far right has no customer service and complete attitude even on the holidays. Just hope I don’t have her as my cashier again. Wanted to update and say that the Home Depot is one one of my favorite and great place to shop was just unhappy with one particular employee.

Been coming here everyday almost to buy paint and supplies for the past week and I couldn’t be happier with the service I get from the paint department. Everyone who works there has been extra friendly and nice and happy to help. Unlike the other Home Depot in woodland hills. They’re paint dept never wants to help with anything and the reason I won’t be returning back to that one. Thanks for all the amazing work !

I’m a crafter… but not great when it comes to places like Home Depot. I was looking for PVC piping and this location has it pre-​cut or you can get it cut by a associate.
The great part of this location is that it’s open late. I came around 9:45. There were still people going in and out (like a few) and there were workers still there to assist.
If I need a late night run to a home d-​i-​y store, this is a good location.

Massive props to Home Depot in Simi Valley! Had to replace a toilet valve last night, and at 9:45 pm, the 20 year-​old angle valve broke when I moved to rusty flex hose. No more 24-​hour Lowe’s or Home Depot stores left in LA, so I panicked. At 9:58, I was on the phone with the store and explained my issue to a guy, Aaron, in the plumbing department. Rather than have me fork out $ 150 – 200 to an emergency plumber, Aaron told me to come down to the store, knock on the front door, and the manager would have my valve. At 10:14, I knocked on the door, the manager came over and gave me my valve. Literally. All of the cash registers were down for the night and he couldn’t even take cash. So, THANK YOU Home Depot, thank you Aaron, and thank you manager guy — whose name I never got — for saving me not only the $ 9 on a brass angle valve, but also the $ 200 or so I’d have spent on an emergency plumber to do a 10-​minute job!!!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. This place has the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. It’s as though they don’t want to sell you anything. I had to wait at least 30 minutes at each department — bath, paint, doors etc. And when they finally showed up they has absolutely no understanding of their own department. What a waste of time!!!

I wandered around for a long while and I couldn’t find anyone to help me. It took twice as long to find what I was looking for, I’m not sure why that made me so anxious. It felt like I was all on my own. Sadly I didn’t get everything that I needed from this shopping experience.

Finally a Home Depot manager that cares!
I ordered tile in store to be delivered and sadly half of a box was broken so I needed to replace the broken tiles as I had the installer coming in the next day. I made an additional order for pick up same day at 10AM. I thought it was a little weird that I didn’t get a call or text all day to pick up the order I placed, come 8:45PM an associate calls me to tell me, we dont have the tile. Umm, what the heck?! I know that the majority of Home Depot staff is lazy and spends most of their time talking instead of working or helping people as I have seen it many times at almost every Home Depot but calling at the end of the day was really no help. At 10 minutes to 9PM I called the Home Depot and asked to speak to a manager, at which point I was speaking to Joe. He proceeded to tell me that he, himself would look and get me the tile. I said ok and I waited…
I have to admit that I didn’t believe Joe for a couple of reasons, the main one being that if it took them over 8 hours to notify me that they didn’t have the tile, how much longer would it take to confirm that again, so that was when I called corporate and explained with happened.
They called the store and spoke to Joe. Thats when Joe really stepped up to the plate! He told me that this store DOES have the tile and he will place two boxes on hold for me. I then thanked him and the following day I went in and sure enough the boxes of tile were there waiting for me.
I felt special that I was able to meet Joe and thank him myself because its staff members like him that make you want to continue shopping at Home Depot. Honestly he is the first person I have met in this store that has taken an initiative in insuring that a customer was satisfied with a purchase.
Again thank you Joe for your work and commitment, you deserve a raise!

Looked online for availability of tile for kitchen backsplash. Online stated that 35 sheets were available — the exact amount needed for our project.
Knew it was a crapshoot that the online system would be accurate, and we only found 22 sheets with the help of an associate. I was disappointed that they were short, but the associate went yard and called a nearby store to put aside another 13 sheets for us at customer service. She got put on hold a few times, and had to call a couple of times, but she persisted and got the job done.
I wasn’t thrilled about having to go to the other store, but appreciate the extra effort of the associate.

I’ll come to Home Depot if I must. I don’t enjoy the feel of Home Depot. It has a contractor feel to it. I’m your typical corporate guy that likes to make upgrades on my home. I prefer Lowe’s where they have the same items as Home Depot but set up like a showroom and have significantly more customer service men/​women walking around.
Home Depot is known to have limited number of people on the floor and when you do find someone, you have to stand in line waiting to ask your question. I believe Home Depot’s strategy is to appeal to those who already know exactly what we need to do versus those that need some guidance. This way they can employ less people. Just my two cents.
Price wise, Home Depot may be cheaper just a tad bit on some items. For tools, go to Harbor Freight first.
The store is generally stocked with only once icidence where they didn’t have your basic 2×2 redwood lumber.
There is plenty of parking in the lot and some of the spaces are specifcially marked for bigger trucks to give them more space to maneuver larger objects.
