My mom has been at one of the locations for about 2 months. We are very unhappy with the service and attitude of the owner and staff. There have been a lot of broken promises on the part of the owner and I will be moving my mother from here shortly. The owner appears to be happy and friendly and promises the moon, but you soon find out that her word means nothing. I was very up front with the owner about the amount of care and type of care my 81 year old mother required. In the contract the owner writes that she will provide transportation to medical appointments and visits to my home up to 4 times per month. Not only has she thus far refused to train her staff how to transfer my mother from her wheelchair to the car(something they should know, being in this business) we have had to spend hundreds of dollars over the last 2 months in arranging private transportation for my mother. When you try to talk to her or the staff, they deny, deny, deny they have any responsibility. They blame my mother for their failures. Also, if someone is considering the Enadia Way location, beware: there is a woman who has lived there for nearly 7 years and she basically runs the place. She is not a nice woman and the owner and staff cowtow to her and give her tons of attention while the other residents are told not to demand so much. My opinion is that there are many other well run board and cares to put your loved ones. Do your homework and don’t always believe what is told to you. You can do a lot better than Flair Manor.
