Lap hours M-W-F are from 7 – 10. What they don’t tell you is that lap swim is only allowed in the indoor pool. The outdoor pool is used for swim classes. The indoor pool lanes were full so I decided to sit outside in a chair so at least I could enjoy the sun and the weather. I was told by a lifeguard that only parents can sit outside. Waste of my time and money. Furthermore, locker rooms are filthy, lockers require quarters, and the«fitness room» sucks. The Nassau Aquatic Center is a hundred times better.

Not a bad swimming environment in the lanes but place has drawbacks. First, in winter, it’s cold because you swim under glass and insulation isn’t great. Second, locker rooms are not terribly clean and the sauna is small and not well-maintained. It’s OK if there is nothing else but in the public sector, Tully Park at N. Hempstead pool is much cleaner and better maintained…
