It’s my local library and it has a solid base of titles, just wish it had more depth. Even with the space and budget constraints(and what public library can’t use a bit more money for book acquisition?) they do a wonderful job. Also, if they don’t have the book in stock, they can order it from other libraries in the LION network. Staff work hard to keep it quiet and have no problems kicking the obnoxious out. I haven’t needed to use their computer system but they seem to keep people moving along with their time limits.

No, it’s not nearly as fancy or large as the Milford or Stratford libraries, but nonetheless, I really like it! Yes, they have a smaller selection of books overall, but since it’s often very quiet in there, I can almost always find the books I want. Yay! More books for me! Woohoo! I’d been looking for a couple of popular memoirs in Milford, but the waiting list for them was long. All three of them were right on the shelf in West Haven. PLUS, you get to keep their new books for 14 days, not 7, which I like. Also, the staff and librarians here are extremely helpful. I couldn’t find a particular book that was supposed to be in, and this nice young woman literally jumped out of her seat to help me. I’m a regular now… definitely check it out if you’re having trouble finding some popular books at other libraries.
