Joey, Jonny, and the crew have always taken impeccable care of mine and my husband’s cars. We’ve had a couple accidents in the last couple of years and have been grateful that we’ve been able to hand over our banged-​up cars to NEC and know that everything from handling parts to insurance would be done with care and fairness. They’re one of the most outstanding small businesses, and certainly the best auto-​repair shops in southern CT. Thank you guys for always taking such great care of us!

Choosing where to take your car to be repaired is not always an easy task. When I needed my car repaired I immediately thought of Joe and Mike at New England Collision. They take all of the work and worry out of your hands and take care of everything from dealing with the insurance company to coordinating the rental car and everything in between. New England Collision has done an exceptional job on 3 occasions that I unfortunately needed a collision repair. The first time was on our RV after I ran over a fire pit and they were able to restore pieces I had saved and make it look like new. Joe is incredibly friendly, the shop does really careful artful work and prices seem quite reasonable.

Great people, good work, great rates. New England Collision as helped out myself as well as many members of my family after that bad weather year we had in 2014. They took care of hail damage on my car, a tree that fell on my wifes car, and some body work for my sister car when she was rear ended in the snowstorm. Glad we found them, but I hope we don’t have to see them anytime soon. If someone did get into a fender bender I know where we would bring the car.

Excellent services! My car was recently broken into and I needed my glass window replaced. I was recommended this auto-​shop by my car dealership, George Harte Nissan. They took my car in and finished fairly quickly. After repairs the car looked brand new; they did an awesome job. I would definitely recommend this place.

Choosing a company to repair collision damage is tortuous. You ask people you know who they used, you read reviews, but for all your diligence, you still wonder, «Is the company I pick going to take care or take advantage of me?». This is EXACTLY how I felt after the front passenger side of my ’82 BMW 528e kissed a guardrail in New Haven. I had only recently gotten her out of storage after two years overseas, had already sunk some big bucks into getting her back on the road and was touring the US visiting friends and family. I did my research, went to one place and then came to NEC. Ben actually got down on his hands and knees to check the damage; he didn’t just take pictures. He gave me straight answers to my questions, and when he couldn’t answer, he said so. The first quote they gave me was substantially lower than the other place, but it was still more than I could afford. I talked with Joe (one of the owners), explained my circumstances (just got back from two years of volunteer work in SE Asia, going out for two more years with the Peace Corps in September, very tight on funds, basically homeless) and asked him if he would allow me to reduce my costs by sourcing parts from salvage yards, etc. (When you own a car this old, you learn how.) He not only agreed, but he found better prices than I did. And, he found what was necessary, not what inflated the estimate. They got the car completely finished in four days and you cannot tell that my baby was EVER in an accident. I’m keeping this car for at least another 200K miles and if I can ever afford to finish completely restoring her, I am taking her back to New England Collision, no ifs, ands, buts or maybes. They are straight up.

I can’t begin to say enough good things about my experience with New England Collision! I had to have some body work done because my 2015 Nissan Altima was attacked by wild turkeys (yes, turkeys) in the parking lot at work. From the minute I called to bring the car in for an estimate, to the day I picked up the car, Christina and Joe could not have been nicer, more accommodating or more professional. They made the whole process of renting a car, dealing with insurance and getting the job done beautifully, painless! They were a pleasure to work with and I would absolutely recommend them and take my car back if it ever needs additional body work. They are the best! Darlene D.

I returned some time ago for a quote and had a poor experience. Because I once did have a good experience here, I’m going to average out to a 3 star review, but I have to say that based on the recent interaction, I wouldn’t come back.
For the recent visit, there were a couple unrelated items I was interested in having fixed on my car, and I couldn’t get them to provide a final quote on the exact work I wanted done.
When I was on-​site getting the quote, the guy who took all the info and inspected my car for some reason handed off to the receptionist before finalizing our discussion. The receptionist came back with some parts prices which were required for «part B» of the job, which were far more expensive than we were expecting. Unfortunately, because the guy had left, I couldn’t get into the «part A» versus «A+B» discussion. (i.e., the price if I don’t get the second part done and only the first).
Subsequently when I wanted a price for just part «A», all I got was a run around via email and phone. I was told to call to discuss, but each time I called, I was told the other guy’s not here so I can’t help you. You have my contact info, why can’t you get the info and contact me instead of telling me to call you?
Maybe the job was too small and they didn’t really want it, but I didn’t feel like a respected customer, and their antics weren’t very professional.
So yeah, I once went here some years ago and had a good experience, but this recent one has really soured me.

I’m continued to be impressed by the level of professionalism, quality (in workmanship), and services New England Collision provided me in my last three visits. It worked on removing dents and repainting the front bottom of my E92 (BMW M3), and resurfacing/​repainting the scratches on my Chevy Avalanche. The office admin manager, Christina, and Joe, the co-​owner, have been absolutely phenomenal; they make you feel very important and most importantly, get things done, whether they be coordinating with insurance companies and adjusters or getting the jobs on time. Joe worked with me to defray the part or in some instance, all the deductible, and personally drove me back and forth from the shop to my home (3 mi away) a few times. This is the first and only place I’d recommend my family and friends.

The nicest and most professional people to work with especially after an accident. Joe was concerned with our well being first and transportation needs. Christina was knowledgeable about the repair process and provided updates to me. The ETA on the repair was right on time.

These guys are awesome! Gave me a very reasonable quote on a small amount of side panel damage — I had a lot of time that day and actually took it to 3 other body shops in the area who quoted me way more (one was almost double). My car was done in 3 days. I even asked them if they could replace one of my fog lights which was quoted at $ 200 by the dealership — they fixed it for $ 50 and it didn’t take any extra time. Really nice people working there. Definitely recommend them!

NEC… You guys are awesome. I took my car to these guys and they have done a brilliant work on it. They fixed my car in 2 days, communicated with the insurance guys and also provided a rental car on site. The rates are reasonable and I would definitely recommend them…

Excellent quality auto body work. Super decent guys. I drove into their shop after a fender bender. They took care of everything smoothly and efficiently and called regularly to keep me informed about the progress. This proactive communication was greatly appreciated.

This place is wonderful. You deal with the owner directly and the customer service is phenomenal (that’s very important to me).
They fixed my car in one day! I’m still amazed. I didn’t have major damage but the bumper was replaced and the paint job they did was great. They even cleaned my car (vacuumed and detailed)!!
I can’t exactly comment on competitive pricing because I haven’t been anywhere else.
Fantastic work, lovely people and an overall great experience. I highly recommend them.
Oh and they will drop you off and pick you up when your car is done! SO nice!
