Peter T Chen, MD

This review is for the Dr. Peter T Chen, MD. He is one of the best doctors I know. My family has been going to Dr. Chen ever since he performed my dad cataract surgery 20 years ago. I would rather have my eyes check by an ophthalmologist than an optometrist (and about the same price you would pay at club/​warehouse prices). Yes, there’s a wait, this happens at all Dr’s offices. But I will definitely stick with the best doctor for all my eye care needs, both big and small. We are thankful for his office and his wonderful staff (Gloria and Espei) and would highly recommend Dr. Peter T Chen, MD.

Smart man, but kind of rude. Told me that I couldn’t and probably wouldn’t get into UCLA and guess what! I did!

I’ve been going to Dr. Chen, ever since I started wearing contacts, 25+ years ago. The receptionist still remembers me, even though I probably only come by every five years or so. Now my daughter goes to Dr. Chen. He is a very polite and courteous doctor. I would rather have my eyes checked by a MD than a technician (Optometrist), for the same if no less than what you would pay at Costco or Sam’s Club. Prices for contacts are very competitive compared to Costco, the only downside is they have to order them. The cut off for ordering contacts is Wednesday and usually avail the next day.
The parking can be really bad at his building, because of the outpatient hospital in the same building. But most of the time there is usually one space available.

This is the BEST doctor you will EVER have. I have been seeing Dr. Chen over 15 years, and he is professional, courteous, caring, quick, honest, and his assistant is the best person too! This is my husband’s doctor and my mother’s doctor. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about him.

Dr. Chan has been my doctor for over 20 years. Since he’s an ophthalmologist I only go to him if I’m having trouble with my eyes. I was surprised he still had my file! His office is located in a very busy medical building and he is one of those old school doctors. He doesn’t have fancy digs but he has an excellent bed side manner and is very good. He’s thorough and takes his time. I don’t have insurance anymore and his cash price was very reasonable. I was able to get my prescription for eyeglasses and contacts with him while he was looking at why my eyes were itchy and hurting. He’s a great doctor who really evaluates the health of your eyes.
