said this was a 3 star hotel. It is not! At best it may be a 1.5 star hotel. The tub was dirty and
It has a meager breakfast that you can upgrade it to a hot breakfast that is comparable to holiday inn and best western for just $ 5.95.
They said they the rooms came with two queens and instead were two doubles, when confronted they insisted that they were queens and simply told me that I was wrong.
When the rooms AC when out in the heat of summer; they just gave me the «what’s the big deal» attitude.
The pool is in desperate need of TLC. The staff needs to learn what hospitality customer service is about, namely the management.
This was the last straw and I am done with Choice Hotels!
Horrible service at a neglected property.

This is not the Clarion I expected. Rooms were cramped, old and more like Motel 6.
We had to ask for a second room because the ac unit was preparing for take off. Wifi practically non existent, business center is a repurposed hotel room.
Breakfast was the worst. Grumpy cook/​server/​busboy. Breakfast advertised for six am but wasnt out until six thirty. Trouble when you have to report for meetings at seven.
I would never stay here again ecen if my client was paying.

The room had cockroaches and mold in the ac unit, stains on the walls and booms that looked like blood. The ceiling was leaking water and the sheets on the bed were torn.
We had to leave immediately, I felt like I needed a shower after leaving.

Pros: Cheap, No bed bugs, Near the interstate.
Cons: Old and I had to fix problems in my room myself.
I am good at using a dime as a screw driver and a shoe as a hammer.
I fixed the TV that kept switching from color to black and white.
I fixed the broken shower head. I fixed the sink as the stopped didn’t work. I fixed the front door as the handle was loose. I fixed the curtains and threw away the paper clip that was used to completely shut them. I fixed the carpet next to the wall as it was coming up. I fixed the constant buzzing sound from the fridge. I fixed the iron and ironing board wall mount as it was pulling from the dry wall.
I just gave myself a free upgrade for all the work I did. I do have to say the Staff was as pleasant as can be expected. I walked into the breakfast area before I left and turned around. The woman who services the area said «You sure you don’t want breakfast?» I said «I don’t think I am going to fix myself breakfast. I’ve been fixing stuff all weekend.» She didn’t get it, but hell, it made me laugh. The location is kinda sketchy. But I am city dude so I can handle anything.

This place looks like it was nice at one time. The exterior presents a better image than the room we got.
The girl at the front desk assigned us a room then said, «Would you like a room with a fridge and microwave?» «Sure!» She changed our room number and we looked forward to our fridge and microwave. When we got to the room there was no fridge or microwave. Oh well! (?)
The drapes would not close all the way. No matter what you would try, there was no complete privacy, the drapes had a big gap. We solved it using a hanger with the clips on it to clip them together. The room was dated. Old tube TV. Big nasty stain on the ottoman. The funniest thing was the hole from the bathroom doorknob with toilet paper stuffed into it!
Apparently many water problems. The ceiling had bubbled up paint in many places. There were many places in the whole room where the paint was touched up in a non matching color and type. (gloss on flat)
On the bright side, the shower/​tub looked like it was a new recent upgrade. However, when I took a shower in it, about 1 min into the shower, it started squealing real loud. I sped up my shower because the sound was annoying.
The bed was comfy though and that is most important. The room was $ 69/​night so for the price, these things were expected (for the most part)
The continental breakfast was sparse but I really didn’t expect much. I was happy with my cereal yogurt and juice. Another guest came in for breakfast wanting to upgrade to get the full breakfast. Even though there was steamer trays there looking like it would have hot breakfast food, the guy was told it was not available. I did not hear the reason.
At one point we were standing outside the room and a girl in a bikini approached us with a story about how she lost everything she owned and needed just $ 12 more to pay for her room, could we help her out? She offered us Walmart gift cards if we could do this. We declined.
This motel has a pool that has stained plaster so even if the water happens to be clean, it still appears greenish and dirty. There was a net by the pool that was all ripped up. Nothing about the pool appeared to be maintained.
The workout room has equipment from the 80’s. Remember the first stairmasters? Many of the workout machines were non-​working or seriously flawed.
We ended up not staying the 2^nd night that we paid for and headed back home instead.

Just moved to columbia, haven’t found a place yet and when I’m back from business out of town this is where I go. Never had any problems. The breakfast is lacking. But it is your basic continental, pastries, toasted waffles. You can upgrade to eggs bacon and sausage for between 4 and 6 dollars. The restaurant is surprisingly good. Nachos and the Classic Philly. Laundry machine isn’t great but it works. I am in hotels ²⁴⁄₇ whether for work or looking for am apartment. This place I actually prefer over where we stay for work and it is less expensive. The front staff is nice

This has been the worst experience of any hotel stay in my life!!!
If you are in this part of town; AVOID THE PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
The free breakfast is a TOTAL JOKE. and it’s hosted by an sad individual. She never at anytime friendly or hospitable. Not helpful, and just plain evil. The way she treated the African american guest was almost, if not racist. The place is filthy and dark of a highway in a bad neighborhood.
WHY DID I STAY… My contract company has a corporate contract.
I will never used a franchise property of Choice Hotels… EVER!
THIS PLACE WAS A VIRTUAL HELL HOLE… SERIOUSLY
P. S. down the street were many other assortments of CHOICE CORPORATE PROPERTIES that put this place to shame.

Inexpensive and somewhat clean but don’t expect any flares or extras. The only issue that really bothered me was that the carpets REALLY need a deep cleaning. Our feet turned black when we walked around barefoot. It’s not the type of hotel I would stay at for a couple of days or more.
