Excellent service great staff and really good food and margaritas. My favorite go to place for tacos, fajitas and drinks especially on taco night. Great summer outdoor dining

I am so so glad I decided to give this place another shot! I have been a couple times in the last few months since I moved back to the area, and I feel there has been a definite shift in the right direction! Food and service have both improved greatly. Love the low key environment. Bf and I like to come here every now and then for a casual date night. I have never been for lunch, but I see they have a buffet set up and would be interested in how that goes. Love all their options for a la carte tacos. Love that this is just good and simple food. They have some fun margarita flavors, but I will say the margs are a little weak. I also appreciate that they are child friendly. Recently, I was here with my sister and her 2 year old who had a mini meltdown. Our waitress was very polite and friendly and came to check to see if there was anything she could do(there wasn’t lol but nice effort). Overall recommend and will absolutely be back!

Good enough food but not worth the absolutely terrible service by the owner and his son. Won’t be going back, and according to the owner, he doesn’t care. I’m sure another business will love the money I used to spend there.

Yummy and you get a lot for the price! There are some really good margaritas here. The portions are huge, everything was good. The service is decent, sometimes they forgot to bring stuff, but they were nice enough. I would come back for the margaritas and food for sure!

We were extremely disappointed with El Coco Loco. We had been there before and it was ok. This time wow has it gotten bad. You can tell when a restaurant is going down the drain. To start the service was poor. The waitress reacted as if she was doing us a favor by taking our order. Then once she had taken the order she disappeared until she came out to talk to what I guess was a friend of hers. As the friend was leaving the waitress was calling out to her in the restaurant and began to chase after her. This would not of been a problem if our drinks weren’t empty. When I tried to flag her down she just gave me a dirty look. She did come back to the table where she asked what I wanted. I politely asked for a refill and some more salsa. She came out with it and asked if there was anything else I «Needed». When the food does come out she tosses it on the table and still with an attitude«anything else?». At this point I asked for a basket of chips and some more salsa which she replied I have to charge for that. Which I have no problem for paying for what I eat, but the way you say things can make it sound rude. The food itself was O.K. But its Mexican food not real difficult stuff. The Quesadillas weren’t melted throughout. The tacos tasted like meat that had been sitting for a while. The beans well could of came from a can. I do have to say they have very good salsa. As far as value. Don’t feel a I got one. Buyer beware, they do charge for refills on Iced Tea. I can understand paying for refills but usually at a discounted amount on the refill. To pay 2.25 three times for Iced Tea is outrageous. So in conclusion I will not be spending my money here. Yes they do have very good specials on the weekdays. When you factor in the up charges, its really not much of a deal. When I sit down to eat I usually drink three cups of ice tea. So for me to spend 6.75 for Iced Tea that is crazy. I don’t pay that at Starbucks, even they have free refills.

Where do I start… Staff — not very friendly I felt as though I was a bother being there our waitress made us feel rushed to order so she could continue chatting with her friend. I’m pretty positive our food sat for a few because is was just warm not hot, I’m sure it was due to her walking her friend outside so she could chat a little longer. Food — Expensive for the portions, beans seem as of it came out of a can, rice was okay, carna asada was meh thank goodness for the salsa. Ohh if your looking to get a 2nd basket of chip you will be paying for it. Drinks — Non alcoholic beverages 2.25 each and yes you will be paying for refills. All in all very bad experience. There are plenty other taco joints which would be happy to have us as customers.

The food tastes really authentic and its dollar tacos on Thursdays! But the service is horrible! Takes forever for drinks, for them to take the order, refilling drinks is a joke, the staff is there for a paycheck– you can tell they don’t really care about customer service. But I always go back because the food is real tasty.

I’ve been here a couple times during lunch. It’s spacious with an outdoor patio and a full bar section. Pros: Food comes out quick Daily buffet Cons: Food is average, not great

I was extremely unhappy with El Coco Loco. First off the service was not impressive and we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant. They told us they did not have queso or sour cream and it is a Mexican restaurant. The food I ordered contained onions and that was not expressed in the menu. I cannot eat onions due to a stomach issue and when I told the waiter about it he sort of laughed and did nothing about it. My friend also puked after her meal later on in the day. Long story short, don’t go.

This place is only getting one star because I have to give one star. It was freaking awful. Worst food ever. Worst service ever. It was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I would highly recommend you do not go. I had a burrito and found some form of chicken cartilage in it. I could keep going but I think you guys get the idea. Thanks for the food poisoning. (By the way, the water was disgusting it may have been taken out of a fish tank)

No price in menu on soft drinks and conveniently they don’t mention it’s an additional $ 1.75 per refill. Service was not very good and the owners were sitting at the bar cranking music and getting smashed. Food was o.k. though.

It’s alright the mango margarita its good. But the food needs more flavor! The salsa needs to be more spicy. It was empty the waitress act if she wasn’t happy to work… She took her sweet time to check on us or give us out recipe! I didn’t leave no tip. Don’t do a good job no tip! Last time I’ll come here.

Freakin’ delicious tacos! We frequent their Tacos Thursdays– only 99 cents each. My favorite is definitely the pastor(pork)— closest thing to a bacon taco I’ve ever had. I took one star away because even though this place is under new ownership since I was in high school(in the 90’s, mind you) I’m pretty sure absolutely nothing has been updated as far as décor — except maybe a refreshed family mural on the walls of the lobby?

The Flautas are very delicious. Caldo de red y el Menudo is one of my favorite soups at coco loco and you can not for get the piña coladas served in a fresh pineapple containers. El coco loco is the perfect restaurant if you in a lazy mood and don’t want to cook at home. The tacos are pretty good. This an American-Mexican restaurant some of the servers lack personality and never smile they are way too serious and sometimes have an attitude when you ask them for refills. Over all it would be perfect

Yum yum the Piña Colas to die for! The fun choices of tacos list to choose from. The carne Asada was my favorite. If you go on a Thursday they are only .99 each. Only .25 for avocado and/or sour cream. My friend had the shrimp soup. Food is fresh & warm served. Delicious all the way. Served fresh chips & hot salsa no extra charge.

If it’s any day but Thursday, don’t bother. But the 99 cent tacos are perfect, and they bring out a crowd that creates a fun atmosphere, especially on a cold night. There are six 99 cent tacos, and order the way God intended: All six, Mexican style. Squeeze those limes on top with their house-made hot sauce and you’re good to go.

I was thoroughly impressed with El CoCo LoCo. And if you read my reviews, you will see I’m a bit of a Mexican Food geek who dines on such globally. I can safely say this place is the best Mod West Mexican restaurant I have been too. Better than anything I have had in Oregon and Washington, The dish that blows my mind is the spicy fish stew, Very complex, deep flavor, Amazing, I forget its Spanish name. I will update when I find my notes, Will post a pic later too. Bravo — great stuff!
