All the managers from the closed beechmont/ohio pike location work here. The food is the normal smokey bones bbq and burgers. I ordered the triple combo — brisket, pulled pork and wings. Brisket was fatty which was a regular issue on ohio pike. My son ordered double pork and brisket. He had the same fatty issue. Sides were good: mac n cheese, loaded mashed, onion rings, apples. I like the old fatter onion rings better. Service was decent. Platter only had 4 wings which was light. Plenty of choices to choose from.

The parking lot is odd I have to do a drive around to find the way in. I missed it because I came in the side. The outside was clean and well lit. We were greeted by a staff member in a professional manner. We were asked if we wanted high top seating, I said yes.(next time I will prefer a booth or table normal level) The seating was quick. The service was fast. The server recommended some drinks and we decided to take the advice on a new drink. Very good choice. Meanwhile the high table we sat at was annoying as the table was not level and this caused a few spills along the way. Like I stated next time regular seating. Service was very nice. The server recommended some drinks and a combo latter to fit the order we made. The food was good and hot. Flavor was good. The store was well lit with many TV’s around the bar. Noise level was not bad. This is a place I would come back to.

A great place! Tania is a great server. She was attentive and welcoming considering our late night dining experience. The food was great and up to quality. They have great late night specials too. I am here on business and highly recommend it!

Went in on a cool summer evening only to be frozen by the 65 a/c blowing. The beef brisket was more like roast beef. not even cut against the grain which is brisket 101. The server was very young, probably his first server job and didn’t know about the cuts of meat and the menu in general. The chicken was tender but not juicy and the baked potato tasted old. Not the best value for your dollar here.

We were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and the patience she showed was great. She explained the menu and informed us of certain items we inquired about. Our food was good.

I had about an hour to kill before my appointment in West Chester and wanted to eat lunch somewhere new. I saw a sign for smokey bones and decided to go there. It looks like a franchise type restaurant and I figured it would be a quick easy lunch. My first impression was its your typical sports bar type restaurant. Reminds me a lot of Applebees or Long Horn. It changed a little bit when I started looking at their menu. I LOVE their food selection. There were so many yummy sounding things I wanted to try. I went with the spoonbread first. I will absolutely put this out there with 100% confidence. This is the BEST cornbread I have ever had in my life. And anytime its on any menu, I try it. But this was exceptional. It was sweet, moist, and that pecan butter– omg. I could eat this everyday. I knew I was going to eat all the spoonbread so I went for a small lunch and just did basic chicken tender appetizers. They were really good too. Juicy meat and great honey mustard! It was O’charleys level good honey mustard. If they sold it by the bottle, I’d buy it. I’m smitten with this place now. So random and not close, but I’ll go back and try some of the awesome menu items they have and get my spoonbread again.

Bottom line, it’s just not quite there. We had Ribs, chicken and steak salad. Server was green, But gave gave a good effort. Manager was out checking on everything so that was good — just needs to ask«what can we do better» if he wants an real answer to the drive by check in question — how’s everything? Unless something is really not acceptable I don’t take the time to get into constructive feedback on how to improve average. It’s all in how the question is asked. As for the food, First the side salads were sub par — out of a bag kind — just not fresh and crisp. Chicken was not real moist, not dry really, just a notch above average. Steak salad average. Ribs looked good tasted ok. Can’t over state the importance of the people in charge of the smokers at a Q joint. To me it’s so much easier to cook a hamburger than get smoked meat right They had an obnoxious promotion. Gave you a scratch off card that you had to bring back on another visit and scratch off in front of a manager to win something. Suggestion, improve the food and people will come back.

Love smokey bones, and this location did not disappoint. Great bbq every time. I’ve never had a bad meal here that’s for sure.

I apologize for my bias but it takes something pretty serious for a chain restaurant to get 5 stars from me… that’s the only reason I’m only giving this Smokey Bones a 4. The food is good. I love the smoked wings, fries are strong, solid BBQ, I also recommend the nachos. But, to be honest, what keeps me going back(asides from the proximity to my previous residence) is the customer service. The wife and I always sit at the bar and the bartenders that we have been blessed to commune with have been nothing short of Phenomenal. Tanner and Lindy(I apologize if my spelling is off) are A+ Caliber. They always provide good recommendations, pour up strong cocktails and keep great conversation regardless of the level of activity @ the Bar. Also… it is one of the few spots in the area that is open late night(2am) so they are perfect for the mid-week night cap… If you are the type to indulge ;)

Stopped for a bite. The food was delicious as usual. We split a huge order of nachos that could easily feed five. We had a Scorcher burger, which tasted like the best backyard burger ever! We ate our broccoli side with garlic Parmesan wing sauce– yum! And the service was incredible! Shanda took great care of us– what a great server! She reseated us closer to the fireplace when we mentioned the cold. Her menu suggestions resulted in a great meal. Plenty of water and napkins. You can tell she likes her job and she’s good at it! One star lost because the deep fried cake bites are missing from the menu. We will be back!

Service was terrible. There were a bunch of tables empty but we still had to wait 45 minutes for a table. The host had no idea what the heck was going in. Thee were several table left uncleared around us as we wait. I asked the waitress what was the deal and she said she didn’t want more people sitting in her section to she left the tables messy. Ugh!!! Food wasn’t terrible but nothing to recommend specifically. Won’t go here again though simply because of the service.

The food was pretty good, the portion size was kinda small. The service was very slow and it took over and hour to get our food. We never received the appetizer we ordered. We have to constantly ask for drink refills. And $ 3 for a soda and tea was a little steep. Order the water.

Sorry Albert. The service is no longer quick, nor exact and the food is most certainly not well priced. I mean, $ 13 – 17 for a burger that doesn’t include fries? We were told because«people don’t finish their fries.» What? Who doesn’t love golden sticks of glory with their burger? Even if I don’t finish every single glorious cut of salted heaven, it’s the principle of the matter. We love our beer, freedom, saturated fats … up to and including fries. It’s what bald eagles eat. ‘Murica. We sat at the bar, hoping for quicker service on Father’s Day Sunday. Our party of three were the only people at the bar and we still had to wait on everything. No plates or silverware when our food came. No water refills. Salad came from another table that had already halfway dressed it with Ranch, but not to worry. Kitchen did provide a ramekin of the Honey Mustard I asked for. Lastly, what restaurant only schedules one bartender on Father’s Day Sunday? Three stars because our main dishes were tasty, but management needs to step up their game. Luckily I’m not the squeamish type, otherwise the waiter sitting on the expo counter picking his nose would have really curbed my appetite… But seriously — upset about the fries.

For once I’m shocked by the low reviews I’ve seen on a place. I went here for a birthday dinner with my family and sweetie, and I have nothing but good things to say! Our server was awesome and she was very attentive as well. I was the oddball of the table and ordered the salmon at a BBQ joint, but man it was amazing! I got the broccoli and mashed potatoes on the side, and I swear to you the broccoli was some of the best I have ever tasted!!!(I’m sure it had so much butter that it killed any nutritional value, but. hey it was my birthday so who cares! YUM) We ordered the corn bread, and when I slathered that sweet butter on a piece and it hit my taste buds, I think Air Supply may have started belting out some of their sweet lyrical ballads based on the taste alone. Holy wow! It melted in my mouth, and I could have eaten it alone as a meal! Mom got the pulled pork, and the other two at our table got the half rack of ribs. Everyone was silent for a few moments because we were all busy enjoying our delicious meals. The waitress knew it was my birthday, and that we were all full so she put my chocolate cake in a to go box, and surprised me by bringing out a cup of ice cream with a lit candle in it. I was grinning like a big ol nerd. :) It was awesome. I’d love to go back and try the BBQ next time!

We got the babyback ribs and St. Louis style ribs. They’re okay as far as chain ribs go. The babyback ribs were somewhat disappointing because they didn’t have much meat. The St. Louis style ribs were not really St. Louis style, but had reasonably good texture. Both were slathered in overly sweet barbecue sauce that, for the most part, overpowered the smokiness we expected. As for the sides, their slaw tasted good. It wasn’t drenched in mayonnaise and well-spiced. We still discerned a little bit of the cabbage taste. Mashed potato still had bits of potato skin and small chunks, so it’s not one of those insta-mashed potato. As far as the service goes, it was pretty slow. When we arrived, there were 2 other tables nearby who finished their meals and were waiting for their checks. We ordered, and waited at least 30 minutes. The two tables who had long finished their meals didn’t actually get their credit cards back until we were half way through our meal. Part of the problem was that our waiter got assigned to a party of 12. While that is understandable, our waiter should have thought about prioritizing. For example, it would’ve taken him roughly 2 minutes to get us our drinks. But instead, he waited to take orders from the party of 12(of whom 4 were kids) before turning his attention back to us. Oh well… we might be back, we might not be back. There are plenty of other barbecue places around town. Nothing good about Smokey Bones stood out for us. The only things that made a lasting impression on us are the bad things.

Do not come here if you are expecting good service. I was here with my fiancée’s family and it was a birthday celebration, one in which we will never forget. The waitress did not want to serve us and made a huge mistake by leaving her notepad where she kept our orders on it right on the table and on the notepad it said Fuck this. We immediately left the table and reported straight to the manager of this restaurant telling them we plan to never eat here again. Way to ruin a person’s birthday and lose a great tip.

Given this is a nationwide chain restaurant, it can’t quite be compared to the establishments that bring the unique character of a City with it. That being said, Smokey Bones still has a niche that serves my appetite. I enjoy the pulled pork and chicken sandwiches… They also have good BBQ sauces here.

This is definitely one of those restaurants that it pays to sign up for their rewards card and their email list. Last week I had received a notice that I had earned a $ 20 credit on my next purchase by using my rewards card. The same week I received an email with a $ 10 off a $ 20 purchase coupon via email. We were able to use both offers at the same time, so my husband and I ate for a total of $ 10 plus tip. Plus we had sooo much food that we had leftovers for lunch the next day. I’ve always believed it pays to ask to be seated in the area of your favorite server. I love it when they remember our favorite drinks our food preferences. We always get great service when we request a certain server at any restaurant. Frequent drink or bread basket refills, never having to wait around for someone to take your order or bring your check. Great food, great service, and great discounts.
