This is the WORST medical practice I have ever encountered. The staff there is so incredibly RUDE — it is unconscionable how they can be so disrespectful to people and keep their jobs. I actually had one of the staff yell at me on the phone because they lost a form that I faxed to them. SHE yelled at ME. The sad part is, the doctors I’ve seen there are really good physicians; I have been seeing my doctor for over 15 years since she was with another practice, but now that she is with this group, I just cannot take the ignorance of the office people, and forget trying to actually talk to my doctor on the phone. IF you can get past the rude staff person, you have another hurdle with the ill-mannered nurses, so I’ve never actually been able to talk to my doctor outside of an actual appointment. They are ok to your face when you are there in the office — granted, not pleasant but almost tolerant — but if you call for something, anything, they give you horrible attitude like you have no right to be calling and bothering them. What happened to common courtesy? What happened to being at least minimally POLITE to people? This practice has NO clue.

Easily the worst practice I’ve ever encountered. Every appointment I had there I’d be seen a *minimum* of 45 minutes past the actual appointment time — one evening I had a 6:00 appointment, and wasn’t seen until almost 8. The receptionist was really unfriendly as well, which didn’t help the situation. One time I was 15 minutes late because of a horrible traffic accident on 202. I tried to call to alert them, but it was after 5 so they don’t answer the phone, even though they have appointments past five. When I got there, the receptionist informed me that they had cancelled my appointment for being late. Never mind the fact that, if I had been on time, I’D STILLBEINTHEWAITINGROOM, WAITINGFOR A DOCTOR at that very moment. When I was pregnant, my OB asked me to see one of the doctors in this practice about my premature atrial contractions(PACs) — a completely benign irregular heartbeat that I’ve had for years. It was just a precautionary measure, since I’d already been to a cardiologist a couple of years before who assured me it was no big deal. The thing about PACs is that they come and they go, they’re not there all the time. When I finally saw the doctor, he listened to my heartbeat, which was regular at the time(because that’s the nature of PACs!), and he said, «Well, IF you’re telling me the truth about the irregular heartbeat, then MAYBE we’d consider doing X, Y, Z.» He was actually suggesting that I was lying about a condition! Dude, a) I have an actual diagnosis from a board-certified cardiologist, and b) why in god’s name would I make something up like that? Good lord. At the height of the swine flu panic in 2009, I had a brand-new baby, so my husband and I were on the priority list to get a vaccination. We waited weeks to get it; I called the practice almost daily to listen to a recording to see if they had the vaccine in. And finally they did! So I connected to the scheduler, who said they could see us the next day, which was great! The next day, me, my husband, and my two-month-old daughter are sitting in the waiting room(again, at least 45 minutes), and when they finally called us in, they brought us to one of the offices — not an exam room. The nurse told us that, oops, they just checked our respective charts and saw that we were both diabetics, and so we couldn’t receive the nasal vaccination, because the mist couldn’t be given to diabetics, immuno-compromised, or those with allergies /breathing issues. Mind you, at no point did the scheduler say, hey, we only have the mist, we don’t have the shot, so we can only give you the vaccination if you’re not in any of the following categories, etc. A simple, two-second screening in that call would’ve saved us the time and gas spent driving out there. But no! They were too inept to consider that some of their patients might not be able to take that vaccination. That last incident was the final straw for me, and we switched to another practice. At the new place I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes(any wait at all is very rare), the staff is wholly awesome, and I don’t regret ditching Myers et all for even a second.
