Mandy’s Dog-​O-​Mat was originally founded under the name Candy’s Dog-​O-​Mat in November of 2009. Mandy was contracted by the former owners from day one as a grooming manager and pet industry adviser Mandy and her husband Jade purchased ownership of the business Aug of 2011, balanced the books, changed the name and made other necessary changes involving self-​serve wash redesign. As a way to say thanks to the community for supporting Mandy’s Dog-​O-​Mat, the Dog-​O-​Mat holds an annual fundraiser for animal shelters and donates to various community programs. Mandy’s Dog-​O-​Mat has one «Best Place to Pamper» your pet by Cincy Magazine (2012,2013,2014), due to excellent staff and products. Mandy and Jade are currently looking at expansion opportunities.

Mandy was born in Greeley Colorado where she was around animals starting at an early age. She would help out on the farm/​ranch calving and feeding. Whether it was animals on the farm or the dogs and cats as pets, she knew she wanted to work with animals. Mandy, her mom and brother all moved to Bozeman Montana in 2000 where she continued to work with animals. In high school she raised lambs, and always had a pet dog or cat around the house. Mandy started her grooming career Feb. 2004 working for PetSmart as a bather and quickly was promoted to groomer. She knew within the first week that this is what she wanted to to do for the rest of her life. Mandy then became a Salon Manager at PetSmart, where she learned the ins and outs of corporate business. She married her husband Jade in 2008, and her journey grooming continued into West Chester Ohio. She transferred to PetSmart in Ohio, but soon decided to leave the large corporate sector and now is the visionary behind Mandy’s Dog-​O-​Mat.
