The IUOE(International Union of Operating Engineers) Local 68 Training Center is a school that is basically a stationary engineering and refrigeration school. It was initially intended just for local 68 members, but in recent years has become available to the public. The entire school is completely ran and operated by guys who have/had years of experience in the field. All the instructors are awesome, and because of their experience, they’re chock full of information; you could ask these guys anything and they’ll have an answer for you. The classroom experience is a lot different than most schools, since the teachers work/worked in the field it’s like talking to «one of the guys», which to me makes it easier to retain information. So far, I’ve completed about half the courses and have received my Blue Refrigeration license, next is my high pressure black stream license. It’s a real«one of a kind» school.
