The Ivy Bake Shoppe is a small bakery/​café with a chalkboard menu featuring eclectic specials each day. We have a variety of home made pastries and an incredible array of sweet treats. Our most important resource is our customer.

History

Established in 1995.

The Ivy was established in 1992 in a private home open one day a week, serving freshly prepared pastries, muffins, and assorted dessert bars. It was so successful that after 3 years we moved to a historic building in downtown Ft. Madison, Iowa and served breakfast and lunch for the next 18 years. We opened our current location in a car dealership in 2002 in West Burlington, Iowa. We have not only served breakfast and lunch, but have also managed to sell a car now and then.

Martha is dedicated to making The Ivy the type of restaurant she would like to visit. Fresh food, great friendly customer service, beautiful and nurturing atmosphere are all primary! A former social worker, she is committed to making good memories for all the customers.
