Soooo happy I found this place. From the staff to the music, the pitorro, the décor and the overall ambience, just amazing!!! I was looking for a place with an authentic Puerto Rican feel and I finally found it! The Dj was on point and the live salsa band was just awesome! The drinks are reasonably priced, the menu offers a variety of different tastes. Had a great time dancing and drinking the night away!

This place is an amazing gem in the Bronx! It’s my second time visiting and experiencing the tasting and tour. Rafael, the owner, gives the tour and he is great. I love the look of the space; it’s like being in Old San Juan. Be sure to check out the place and support your fellow Boricua making pitorro in the Bronx!

I had been meaning to visit this spot for some time. Walked over after grabbing a flight from the Bronx Brewery. The drinks are tasty, and the staff treats you like family. They had a latin band playing music at night. Cool vibe, nice people. It’s a desolate area, but you can tell it will definitely develop. I’m excited to go back!

Fabulous spot that brought me back to the streets of Old San Juan! The tasting service was great — informative & efficient! Can’t wait to return for the tour and more of their Coquito mixed drinks!

I went on a Friday after work. My friend and I took 2 buses to get there. Totally worth the journey. The spot is off the beaten path, at the southern tip of the Bronx in a heavily industrial area. No worries, because this place is very special. The staff is lovely. There was a steady stream of visitors and each was lovelier and funnier than the next. The music was on point(salsa, hip-hop, R&B) yet understated. The pitorro is the star. We tried all 3 kinds and then settled in for a very strong drink. Whew! Give yourself time to savor the smoothness of their pitorro and chat with your neighbors. This place attracts good people. Like attracts like.

A friend and I came here after I saw a profile of this distillery on TV. This distillery makes pitorro, which is Puerto Rican moonshine. They have three products: the Shine, which is unaged; Añejo, which is aged in wood barrels for over a year; and Coquito, which has a distinct cinnamon flavor. We were given a very detailed tour by the two owners, who were really friendly and answered all of our questions while showing us how pitorro is made. We were able to sample each of the three products they offer in their tasting room. The Shine — 92 proof — has a kick but is much smoother than other unaged liquors I have tried. Añejo — 80 proof — very smooth and satisfying. Good flavor. Coquito — normally a dairy beverage, but they have produced this without milk, eggs or coconut milk. This stuff is dynamite! Well worth the trip to the BX. The Bronx Brewery is nearby, so a visit to both is a very enjoyable day.
