Fairly nice playground on University Ave. This is actually a playground connected to a basketball court. The setting of it is nicely put and I really like the statue dolphins (or could possibly be seals) on the walk up of the playground that spit out water. The kids love those in the Summer and they’re even big enough to sit on them (better then having them play with a fire hydrant).
The basketball court is your average… basketball court. In the warmer months it is so packed and those kids would be out there playing all day. I’ve seen a few serious games played out there but its all in fun. It’s definitely no Rucker Park. The benches are comfortable and they have the Chess and Checker table top. You can really just sit and enjoy the sun and breeze while watching your kids. I don’t feel Morton Playground poses any threat or harm and that is exactly where I want my nephew and Godson to enjoy themselves.
Overall good park, playground, basketball court.
