Whoa, this place is huge! I popped in to work on my computer and sip a glass of wine while waiting for my pooch’s grooming appointment across the street to wrap up, and I was very impressed with their wine selection! They have a nice selection of dry reds — a rarity in these midwest states! But it’s worth keeping in mind that they do ship their grapes in from around the US(hello, merlot). The wifi was pretty spotty but West Branch had been having some electricity power failures all day so perhaps that was affecting it. The atmosphere is very new/cozy and I couldn’t believe how many rooms they had — what an excellent space for hosting a gathering! The pairing menu was well-priced and offered cheese boards, hummus and crackers, and olives, for snacking with your wine; next I’m anxious to return for a full tasting and to try their pizza.

Nice cozy place off the highway. Great pizza and fun atmosphere that has live music some days. Nice knowledgable staff. Nice assortment of wines. We like Sun Dog the best.

The people here were super nice, as you often find in the Midwest. My boyfriend and I have been to almost every winery in Wisconsin and Illinois, so we had to stop here on the way to California. It was definitely a fun experience! They had a lovely tasting room with large couches and a fireplace, a great way to spend a few hours away from the cold and boring i80 drive. I liked their less sweet wines better than the sweet wines, but those are definitely on par with the sweet wines you find at wineries in Illinois and Wisconsin. My favorite was the chambourcin! It’s like a light cab with a little spice. I recommend stopping here, especially if you have a long drive ahead, plus you can’t beat their pricing! $ 8-$ 15 a bottle.

i bought three but only sampled two, the first one was honey bee it went to vinegar then next was chambourcin it ok until the aftertaste showed up. it had a taste of medicine. it tasted like it had an infection. Im a brewer by trade and that is my assessment. and the third i haven’t tried yet is the ellison I’m going to give it as a gift to someone it don’t like.
