Friendly and Welcoming but pricy.
The items are great but usually people are looking for real bargains when consignment shopping. I bought a Elisbeth vest and Barbara Lessor top and paid $ 99.59. I was interested in a unique coat but the sleeves had beady balls showing considerable wear and tear. They wanted $ 85.00 for it! Listen I do a lot of second hand shopping and you never take any item home that shows wear and tear.
When I pointed it out the sales person said it was made in Italy and was very unique. I agree with her but it was also worn out!
I don’t want to knock the store though… It a good store to get an occasional bargain but it’s not in my opinion a store of bargains!

Love this place. Extremely friendly and helpful staff/​owners. Can get a check anytime or use as credit in store. Can never walk out without finding a spectacular buy on jewelry or a purse. They are the best!!!

For the most extensive selection of «previously enjoyed» apparel, handbags, jewelry and shoes, you MUST visit Closet NV! I very recently began consigning there, and was thrilled that they have already sold half of my items! The staff is warm and welcoming, and the merchandise is so beautifully displayed. The selection is so impressive — one of a kind, very unique and beautiful items! Today I officially became a consignor/​customer after purchasing a fabulous bracelet I could not resist! At Closet NV, everything is so easy to find. Without pressuring the customer, the helpful staff offer assistance. If you are looking for something in particular, no not hesitate to let them know… I happen to mention this to Lisa, and she wrote down what I am wanting, and promised to contact me if something comes in fitting the description I gave her.
I truly believe in supporting the small, local businesses. I love boutiques and am not a mall shopper. Now that I have discovered Closet NV, I love being both a consignor and a customer.

I have been to many consignment shops but have never found a boutique even comparable to Closet NV! Closet NV not only has unbelievable, one of a kind, quality merchandise, the staff offers customers their time and honesty, no matter the price of the item. I often find that I am pressured into a lot of items I buy and go home not in love with them, but every time I leave Closet NV I can’t wait till the next visit back. This place has it all and amazing prices! Shopping there is so much fun as the workers are all so friendly, helpful and funny. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!

WOW, what a boutique! I just stopped in here for the first time the other day and man have I been missing out. I got a pair of practically brand new J Brand Jeans, this unbelievable wool Chanel sweater dress and BRAND NEW fashion jewelry. Both of the owners, Lisa and Robin, were in the store and they were very helpful and friendly. I will be back in the future to not only purchase clothes but to consign my own. This is a great West Bloomfield gem!

Closet NV is one of a kind. Not only is it a great place where I can find vintage clothing that no one else has, but it is top of the line designer brands sold for extremely cheap prices. The managers are the friendliest and funniest people ever (who even is cookie p)! Shopping here is like hanging out with my girlfriends, yet I get to leave with great one of a kind items. I LOVE CLOTHES, CUTE BAGS, ACCESSORIES, THIS PLACE HAS IT ALL! It’s worth the trip from Ann Arbor too!

UPDATE: Someone from the shop contacted me regarding my review and apologized and asked that I try them again. I certainly will. They were very nice and sincere in their apology. I wont delete my original review because it actually did happen and I’d like for everyone to see how they tried to rectify it with an apology. So all in all, this place is thumbs up. :)
This review is based mostly on consigning with this shop and not the actual items in the store. As far as the store is concerned, its cute and they carry a lot of nice things. I have consigned a few items here and one day I decided to stop by to see if anything had sold. They checked their computer and in fact, all of my items had sold, but I was never issued a check which I thought was odd, but they ended up cutting me a check right then, so that was ok. (i just have to wonder if they were ever going to send me a check if i hadnt stopped by) anyway, no harm done, but this past week I had emailed them some pictures of a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals that I wanted to consign. The owner told me they looked good and to bring them in. I am 9 months pregnant and drove down there today to drop them off. The woman, Robin, who I emailed was not there but her partner was there. She was a bit off-​putting and not the friendliest. I told her that Robin told me to drop off these shoes anytime. She opened box and looked at soles and threw them back in box and said abruptly ‘these are way too worn for us!!’. Now granted, I“m not upset that she wouldnt take the shoes, I understand that if something is too worn, many shops wont accept, but Robin did look at photos and said she would take them and I did reiterate that to this woman. She didnt apologize for wasting my time or anything, just looked at me rudely and said ‘oh well, thats my partner’. It was pouring rain and I’m 9 months pregnant and she didnt even say sorry for coming all the way out. I think this shop should learn how to treat their customers and consigners better, because if they do, this could be a great little shop, but I dont see them staying in business long if they dont change their attitudes. I think maybe they are putting on airs thinking that’s how youre supposed to act when you sell designer merchandise, but its not.

I love this store! They have the best clothing and accessories, as well as wonderful friendly salespeople who know their stuff. I have found many treasures at closet NV. too many in fact!

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! SHOES. BAGS. CLOTHING. Everything that’s hot but at a discounted price, which I love! If only there was something like this in Colorado! Can’t recommend this place enough. Maybe some day they will open Closet Envy West ;) A girl can dream!
