bait and switch stay away from this shop!!!
they upcharged this poor friend of mine for things that she did’nt need replaced beware this shop prays on certain people from what i heard .
she will never go back there again try selling blinker fluid to someone else.

They got me in right away and were severely honest with me about my busted vehicle! The guy told me what I didn’t want to hear and I respect that! He didn’t beat around the bush or sugarcoat anything! It’s hard to know your car is dying but he helped me make an easier decision! The staff seem very friendly and very knowledgeable! I will be going back to them for all my future car care experiences! Thanks again

A simple inspection cost me a fortune in unnecessary repairs. Very unprofessional people. They are scam artists. Stay away. These people will rip you off. They should be put out of business.

What a scam this place is. I brought my 07 honda accord because it was losing power while driving. When I dropped it off the guy was real nice and said he would call me. After my wife dropped me off at home he called me a short time later and said he hooked the computer up to the car and it said my pedal sensor wasn’t working. He then says there will be a «diagnostic fee». I say ok because EVERY mechanic I ever went to waives the diagnostic fee IF you decide to have them repair it. I assumed (bad on my part) that the BS «diagnostic fee» would be waived once I told him to fix the car. I get my bill and there is a $ 140 dollar diagnostic fee on my bill. Not only is this fee absurdly high (babylon honda charges 60 and waives it if they fix the car) but that fact that he wouldn’t waive it is mind boggling. I am NYC fireman and took my bill to a couple of guys in the firehouse who are car mechanics. They said not only was the diagnostic fee BS, the amount he charged me for the actual work he did was absurd. I also echo what Debbie said below. He told me a million things that were also wrong with my car. 40 bucks to change a headlight??? If my mom (who trusts everybody) had gone to this place, she would have been scammed for thousands. Please, if your an honest hardworking guy like myself, stay away… far away

I just recently got an oil change and upon picking up my car he told me there alot wrong with the car I went to another mechanic he told me everything is good I don’t know what they were trying to do but always get a second or third opinion before settling with theirs

Stack’s of West Babylon is professional. They are thorough. They get the job done. Attention to detail is there, John is friendly and informative. Their prices are fairly competitive. In my honest opinion I will pay a little extra money for a job done correctly and in a timely matter. I will continue to use Stacks as my go to mechanic.

Stay away! They wanted to charge $ 320 more than another mechanic for the same exact parts– make and all, and told me 2 other things were wrong with the car that weren’t!!! Also they did not tighten the lug nuts on 2 of my tires! Myself and my kids could have been killed due to their negligence! Stay clear– such a mistake!!!

Great service! The employees are approachable and friendly. My car doesn’t have any problems after bringing my car here. No issues. Very efficient. I’m keeping this place as my go to car shop.

This place claims to be honest, but don’t be a sucker. Every time I’ve gone here, apparently there’s something dramatically wrong with my car. I’ve only gone here the times my friend’s shop couldn’t do my car on short notice. Each time I’ve told him what this Stacks place said needed repair or replacement, my friend confirmed that what they said was greatly exaggerated. Not to mention, they charged me $ 450 for breaks. Sammy’s auto in Lindenhurst did it for me for $ 180. So that is honest?

My girlfriend called me in a panic because her tire was flat. I called Stacks and they assured me they can fix it on her lunch break. Her tire was fixed in 10 min, these guys are great! Thanks John!

It’s a good neighborhood auto service shop. They pay attention to details and service the vehicles well. Appointments can be made online and they like to use e-​mail and regular mail to thank you for the business, as well as remind you of upcoming services needed. NYS inspections and oil changes are also performed here. I haven’t had any issues with the services they’ve performed. I’ve been using them for several years now.
