I went here with one of my friends two weeks ago. At first glance I noticed how clean it was, no mess by the polish table, or the waiting area and the pedicure/​manicure stations looked very organized and clean as well. We walked in and looked at the nail polish table and the man behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge us at all, until we went over to him and even then he didn’t come off friendly at all. We told him we only wanted pedicures and waited only a few minutes. We were then brought over to the pedicure stations, where I waited for a nail technician and my friend was already getting started. A guy came over (I forgot his name) and he tried going at the same pace as my friends technician even though he came later. The massage he gave me was like he was petting me– no pressure at all, he didn’t file or cut my nails and didn’t cut the cuticles either. I asked for the callus treatment and he did a really good job on that. But I didn’t appreciate him asking me 3 times if I was getting a manicure too. Oh and after 5 days my polish started chipping. Needless to say, I won’t be returning.

I love love loooooove this place. The staff is nice and friendly. Very professional. It’s quick and clean.

I am over this place went their for almost a year with my sister and mom all the time. They never even acted like they knew me … So that and their new messed up pedicures, I like my toe nails straight thank you !! We will not be back but you won’t miss us as none of you ever said hello.

This was my first time going here. Rachel was awesome, gave an amazing massage, great eyebrows and perfect mani. Super clean, nice staff, definitely a repeat

Seems like I’m bothering them. Nothing special. Salon is clean but overpriced for the service. My tech looks miserable and could care less. Another overpriced polish change.

Great prices, great service, very clean and they do such a great job. They even gave me a gift for Christmas. After a lot of searching, I finally found my steady nail place!

My partner and I had different experiences here. The place was large and clean, and we were seated within 15 minutes or so of getting there. Her pedicure was good, and the gentleman helping her was attentive and did a good job. The woman helping me, however, seemed distracted, looking at everyone coming in the door while she was helping me and eventually cutting my nail too short. I won’t be going back here too soon.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Every person has their own perspective on what they consider a good nail salon. I did not like this salon at all because ITS A FACTORY! They dont care they over charge you, they dont care to pick up your shoes for you, they dont care to pull out your chair. The water for the pedicure was cold, so was the water for my nails, and the nail dryer was a cold fan with no light.
I can deal with these faults. The main reason I am not going back is because my nails looked like this (see photos). She didn’t even look at my nails while painting them. Forgot to buff two fingers so it was bumpy, she polished them anyway. I felt so rushed, pushed me out of my chair, and then stared me down as I was leaving to make sure she got a tip. Not to mention three people worked on my nails, seriously? Are you all expecting a generous tip?
Dont get me wrong they are nice people, but I see through the façade. Every few minutes they were trying to upgrade me to a more expensive purchase. I know my options, and If I was curious I would ask, I told you the service I want, do your job.
That was my perspective on my visit there.

Prompt, clean, friendly, fair pricing. I wish I knew about this place eons ago. Usually get gel manicure, and no matter which nail technician I go to — it’s almost identical every single time! Bravo.

This is a long overdue review. The place is modern and clean. I went for a regular pedicure. I felt there was nothing special and the person who was doing my pedicure kept on trying to upsell some of the other services. Thee are other other great salon nearby.

The people here are miserable and they skimp on the service if you are just getting a regular manicure/​pedicure. They barely massage your legs and the towel I got was practically cold. Then the girl who did my manicure was filing my nails so hard, I had to ask her to calm down. Only thing I like about the place is its clean and has nice massage chairs.

I went here for the first time and got a regular pedicure with a 10 minute foot massage. I thought this place was great. It’s clean, spacious, and modern. The nail techs focus on what they are doing and create a peaceful environment. My pedicure was excellent, as was the foot massage. I found everyone there to be polite and professional. It may be a few dollars more than other places in the area, but you get what you pay for. I had had it with subpar service at other places. For me, it’s worth the few extra dollars.

This place is clean, friendly, and accommodating. Never had a problem. I decided to get a gel manicure one day and I wasn’t sure if I was happy with the work. It was my first time getting gel nails and I was a serious nail biter who has tried to reform in the last few years. So I just thought they looked funny because of all of the damage I have done to my nail beds from biting. They cracked within a week. I went back to get them fixed and they had a woman named Fiona fix my nails. She did an awesome job. I love her work and they didn’t charge me, but I gave her a good tip because she was so great! I go to Fiona all the time now and I actually get compliments on my nails, which makes me happy because I have been a nail bitter starting while still in the crib.
As for prices, I don’t mind them being a couple of dollars more because they stand by their work and honestly they work long days and let’s face it people aren’t always nice. I have seen them deal with down right rude people and they sit with a smile on their face taking the abuse while still trying to be accommodating. As for people complaining about rush jobs, I find it amazing that people come into a store for a job that will require 75 minutes with only 30 minutes remaining until the store closes. I have seen the owner explain there is not enough time to do the work (which is a polite way of suggesting they come back when there is more time), but people don’t listen, so they charge a couple bucks more for a rush job. The alternative is for the owner to flat out refuse to serve them, but people would scream about that. Again, people just don’t think and can be selfish in their expectations.
I love this place and will continue going.

The first time I went here, I was impressed with the décor and amount of staff members. Sadly that’s where my positive experience ended. I had Ken do my pedicure. He did not file my toe nails correctly and the nail polish was clumpy and uneven. I couldn’t spare any extra time to stay so I opted to come back another day. While at home, within the first 24 hours I noticed that my gel manicure was lifting already! I forget the name of the woman who did my nails, but she did not speak a word of English.
When I had gone back 2 days later to correct the manicure and pedicure, I saw Jenny. It was a slow day. She was very nice and could carry a small conversation and managed to correct the mistakes that Ken and the other girl had made. Not perfect, but much better than they were. I decided to give this place a second chance.
I decided to go back and see Jenny. I had made my appointment for 530 on a Wednesday, and did so nearly two weeks in advance since my own wedding was the Friday after and I wanted everything to go smoothly. I wanted a French gel manicure, French special pedicure and back massage. On that day, I called and asked if I could come in at 430 instead of 530. They weren’t busy and said it was okay. When I got there I was taken to Jenny. The pedicure went okay but when I told her the color was too dark, she seemed to get upset. We got it right the second time around.
My manicure was okay as well. But she left behind a lot of cuticle, the line for the French design was not painted on straight and my finger nails were filed in a manner that left them crooked. I tried to politely communicate to her what I would like, but she didn’t seem to understand. She seemed to get frustrated. I had just given up and figured I could fix them myself when I got home… She called a gentleman over, who spoke better English. I asked him to correct what she had done and inquired about a small hand design on my ring finger, but he couldn’t get that right either. Jenny then ran off to start a manicure on another client, even AFTER SHE WAS THE ONE I HAD BOOKED for my appointment. And on top of it all, I was never able to get my back massage since Jenny was with another client.
I do not feel satisfied with the customer service at this Salon. I wouldn’t mind paying the higher price for service, had it been worth it. I also feel that had the language barrier been bridged, it wouldn’t have taken 2 hours for a simple French manicure and pedicure. As someone who is skilled in the art of nail and hair care, I find it appalling to see work that isn’t quality while being treated less than par, especially after making an appointment 2 weeks in advance before my own wedding and spending over 80 dollars on a MANICURE AND PEDICURE ALONE… Hopefully my manicure won’t peel this time around because I DO NOT PLAN TO RETURN.
There is a place called Escape in Babylon Village that I used to go to before moving. I will return there, because even though they are a smaller and less fancy salon, they are still clean and very good with customer service. I recommend Escape to anyone who has had a bad experience at Aegean.

After reading the NYT article on nail salons I want to take back my price comment. Higher prices means fair labor laws. I was unaware of that.

Lovely large and clean venue. I had a gel French manicure, eye brow and lip wax and pedicure. The French manicure was lovely for about 4 days, much shorter life span than I expect a gel manicure to last. Like the other reviews, it began peeling. I opted for «French wax» for my eyebrows as the woman told me it hurts less. To my surprise the «French wax» is just hard wax. My eyebrows weren’t the best they ever looked, so I touched them up at home. My lip wax was with regular wax… The standard. It was as expected. My toes were very well done, I opted for the $ 35 dollar special. It claims it comes with a ten minute foot massage, but I maybe received a 3 – 4 minute rub. Overall it was a pretty basic experience except for the disappointment in my gel French manicure. For the area this place is on the pricey side.

I think I might have found the nail salon in Babylon I’ve been searching for. I came here for an eyebrow wax. I was actually at a salon with my mother-​in-​law the day before but my shellac pedi took so long and I didn’t want to keep her waiting by getting a brow wax too, which is why I stopped here for a brow wax.
They charge $ 7 for a brow wax which is average. I was in and out very fast. The lady who handled my eyebrows was very awesome. She didn’t ask if I was preggo and she said my eyebrows were beautiful. She did an amazing job. I was so impressed I over tipped her with a $ 3 tip, normally I give $ 2.
The salon itself is so beautiful. The floors glisten, the lighting is lovely and the pedicure chairs look so comfortable. Next time I want a shellac pedi done I might come here and see how they do.
I was here a previous time with my girlfriend (she got her eyebrows waxed but at the time I didn’t get anything done). They supply you with a bowl of fresh fruit, some green tea and water while you are waiting for service.
So far I love this place! Let’s hope it stays positive unlike my experience with Diva Nails in Hewlett.

Its worth the price! My nails look amazing! He (Raymond) did a great job. He put acrylic on my nails instead of doing tips and formed them to be Square. It is so clean and beautiful and big! The nail polishes are set up so nicely. They even have the 3d bows (wish that was a little less). Their drying area is beautiful. We are def going back

There is don’t much that you can ask from from a nail salon. However this place over delivers. It is super clean, and huge, There are a ton of massage rooms towards the back. Everyone is has a uniform to wear, which adds to the professionalism. If have never been here before, give it a try you will absolutely leave your current nail place.
