I make my husband stop at this store after our Thanksgiving celebration with his side of the family. It’s right on the way home and easy in, easy out. Oh hey, Christmas shopping for the kids is done! This particular Michaels is you typical craft store. As Mike P pointed out, it’s the exact store /layout as every other Michaels. They have decent prices, and it’s easier to do your one-stop craft shopping here, rather than ordering online. If you get the Sunday paper make sure to get the coupon and use it. They have a weekly flyer and you’re sure to get a 40% off something or other. Sometimes they have really good deals on items. ‘Buy 1 get 1 free deals’ seem to be the norm lately. Keep your eyes open if you’re looking for any frames, though. You can score some pretty decent deals. I would never have anything framed here though… I can buy the mats and frames and do it just as well myself. We’ll see ya next Thanksgiving night, Michaels!

I have spent many dollars at this store over the years and I keep asking myself why do I go back. Half the people work there do not know anything about crafts and each time I go there the policy changes when using a coupon. Last night was my final straw. I went there with no intentions of purchasing anything just to see if they had anything new because lately it’s been the same thing for years(Sizzix die cuts for example) and I happen upon Cricut cartridges being on sale. For once they had newer cartridges and they had one I wanted. So i take the card you take to the front and give the salesclerk and then they pull the cartridge out of the cage. There were 6 of the cards you would think that means they should have 6 of this cartridge. NOTHEYDIDNOT!!! They actually had 0. None not one of this cartridge. So I ask why do you have 6 of these cards up on display if you don’t have the cartridge. What is the purpose of the card. Would you believe she told me so we can let customers know we do carry the cartridge. So you need 6 to show this. I was told this is what the corporate office wants them to do. On that note I left the store and have decided as much as I like Michaels I just can’t shop there anymore. I get to frustrated with their corporate policies and its a waste of my gas, time and money.

I like to shop at Michaels. I have spent a lot of money in the store in West Allis until today. Yesterday I stopped by their store and purchased many items, most seasonal items for Easter because they were 50% off. Doesn’t get much better than that. Last night going over the receipt i noticed they charged me regular price for an item that was suppose to be half off. It was clearly marked an Easter item on my receipt and it was also clear on the receipt that I was charged regular price because the sale arrow was not next to the item. When i took the receipt back to the store they refused to refund my money. I took them to the exact item on the shelf that was still 50% off and showed them what I had gotten They told me it was a floral item and they could not refund my money… Too bad, so sad… that is pretty much what the clerk implied. So if you plan to shop at this store watch every item they ring up and if you get overcharged… oh well, too bad, so sad.

WOMENINMOMJEANSEVERYWHERE. NOTUSINGMICHAEL’S 40% OFFCOUPONISLIKE waiting until five minutes after a happy hour has expired to buy drinks. Sunday newspaper + Michael’s flyer = 40% savings on any one item. This Michael’s seems to have the exact store layout as every Michael’s I’ve ever been in. Framing in the back, acrylic paints and canvas on the left, check out lanes front right. Michael’s seems to beat even internet prices on airbrush paints. I realized this probably applies to about 2% of the population, but if you prefer Iwata over a VL Paasche there’s a tip for you. WEIRDFACTOR: Due to it’s proximity to New Berlin and West Allis there seemed to be many strange people shopping in this Michael’s.

Greta place to find all of your creative needs. Lots of sales and coupons to make the prices super reasonable. Join the mailing list and get ecoupons. They currently have a 50% off one item coupon and several others. They have a beading section, scrap-booking/stamping section, framing, model cars, etc. It is fun to wander through the store. Even my husband liked it.
