Get my oil change here because of the powertrain warranty which doesn’t cover squat. And you better be ready to spend hours sitting there while they complete the oil change and the waiting room of six chairs is always full. I took my car in to be serviced, the engine light was on and the car was riding rough. After charging me $ 100 to look at it they tell me that I need plugs, wires, coil and the catalytic converter needs replaced. They quoted me over $ 2000 to fix these items + another $ 1000 on top of that because the intake gaskets are leaking. When i was leaving Suntrup to take my car somewhere else my car wouldn’t start., The man working in the Servive Department didmt know how to open the hood of my jeep, i had to show him. It opens like all other jeeps, nothing strange about it. After they gave my car a jump I took the car somewhere else for a second opinion. After getting a tune up and new brakes for $ 800 my car drives fine. The engine light was on because I needed an oxygen sensor. Saved myself over $ 1000 by NOT using Suntrup for their made up diagnosis of my car problems.

HOME of the TWO HOUR PLUS+ oil change. And this was with an appointment. This company does NOT value your time. Please don’t waste your valuable time by going there even if the service is free.
My guess is that they have newbie techs that are being paid as little as possible. Of course, the techs will get all the blame and told to work faster.
We will never return and never is a big word. Never.

Horrible customer service! My power steering wasn’t working so I took it to our regular repair shop. They found that the power steering pump needed to be replaced and it was also recalled, so it should be covered. So I took it to Suntrup dealership and they gave me this whole list of things that needed to be repaired and it would cost about $ 3,000. I wasn’t going to pay that much when we already have a repair shop that we trust completely. So I just asked them to repair the pump. They refused. They said everything else had to be repaired before they would repair the pump. So I picked my car up and took it back to our regular repair shop. They replaced the rack and pinions then found that the struts didn’t even need to be replaced. Plus they said the leak was coming from the broken power steering pump, not just an engine leak that needs to be repaired (which is what Suntrup told us). Their price (including labor and parts) was $ 850!!! I found another Hyundai dealership in St. Peter’s and called them. Their customer service was excellent and I will be taking my vehicle there to have the power steering pump replaced. If you are looking for a Nissan/​Hyundai service shop, go to St. Charles Nissan/​Hyundai in St. Peter’s, not Suntrup!

A series of unfortunate events.
Pro– At first salesman was cool to deal with. Set us up with a test drive. Not high pressure.
Con– day 2 test drive. Car doesn’t have dealer plate we were pulled over by state trooper.
I thought it was quite funny. My husband was less than pleased. The female Trooper followed us to the dealer to speak to the salesman. He was less than courteous to her. He should have apologized and that it would never happen again. That would have been the end. Nope.
Next we drove a used car on the lot. Oops, engine light on, it back fired, we made it next door and drove it back to the lot. No comment from sales person.
Then the salesperson raised his voice telling me I should lease. Never gonna happen dude. Sit back in your chair and relax. I’m a no car payment kinda lady.
Finally– sales manager speaks to us. Not gonna capitalize his title. «my salesperson in the running for a contest» he will give us a tv if we do a deal today. I’m a sales person and that’s just old school, I don’t give a rats you know what. WIFM.
We wanted to buy local.
Drove across the bridge to Florissant and picked out a car. No BS.

Why I will never ever ever go back to Suntrup Hyundai —
1) You feel like you won the lottery if the receptionist actually answers the phone and doesn’t hang up on you.
2) They did about $ 2000 of unnecessary work before finally recognizing the noise we were complaining about (which was another $ 1500). Fortunately, the warranty covered this.
3) When they did finally hear the obnoxious noise in the suspension, it took 2 weeks and a visit from the Hyundai rep to get it halfway fixed.
4) They consistently told different stories to us and to the warranty rep, so we had to have a warranty rep actually inspect the car on site.
5) They gave us a loaner car from Enterprise Rental, and Enterprise ended up calling us one day and saying, «your rental contract was up 3 days ago, you owe us $ 300 and counting» and then took over a week to fix it on their end with Enterprise.
6) After all the work was done, we still heard the noise and they said neither they or the hyundai rep could figure it out, but if it gets worse they may be able to diagnose it.
7) The car started leaking fluids in the driveway after we got home.
8) Took the car to another Hyundai dealership to diagnose the leak, and they said the car was a mess from the previous work. It was leaking transmission fluid b/​c something got knocked loose when they were working on it, there were loose bolts everywhere and there were parts not installed correctly. They took 1 day to check everything and reinstall a few parts and SURPRISE!!! No more noises!
I am very fortunate that the warranty covered all this work, but Suntrup will never get a single dollar of my money, not even for an oil change.

This dealership leaves a lot to be desired. The customer service was dismal. My husband and I are in the market for an economy vehicle. We’ve done our research and settled on a couple models including Hyundai Veloster. Since this Hyundai dealer was close to our home we decided to start here first. We walked inside on two different occasions, NO ONE asked if they could help us. Then we decided to walk outside to see if we could find the car we came for, still no one came out to help. We waited, then decided to go to another dealer. I will never return to this dealership nor would I recommended it to someone else.
