I was driving down 70 to go visit my homies in Wright City. I was passing by Wentzville and I saw it. It was the Best Buy. I knew I had to turn around and see for myself. I have made some good buys but I needed to see what the Best Buy was all about. To my surprise they still sold CD’s and DVD’s. I picked up the Rambo collection on DVD for $ 5 and I also picked the Kevin Bacon box set for $ 7. I cruised back to the TV section. I saw a cute chick working. I was looking at the 4D television set. We started talking about the new technology and then I decided to tell a punny joke to her. I said«Well you know 4D is the new 30». She looked at me with a glazed look in her eyes. I left with the box sets and spent the weekend watching the Kevin Bacon marathon and made some scrambled eggs for the occasion… P. S. I came back to the store the following weekend to see if that girl was working. To my surprise she was there. We talked for awhile. She said«I am sorry I have to go help these customers.» I then replied«is this Good-bye then?» She said«no it’s the Best Buy». I think I’m in love!

I thought I had written a review about this location, previously. Not sure if there were two business listing which merged and my review got purged. In any event, this location is fine. It feels smaller than most other Best Buy locations. When we first moved here two years ago, I ranked this location as third — with St Peters and Chesterfield being ahead of this one. The staff here seemed more aggresive to sell and less attentive to address questions. That, and the sort of wonky gyrations to access the store make it less desirable.

The previous reviewer is correct — this is one of the smaller stores in St. Louis. It’s based on a different floorplan than pretty much every other local BB store(almost a square). Because of this, a lot of things are crammed in, and it just feels cramped. Chesterfield is around twice the size. Another issue with the size is the lack of in-stock inventory. A lot of times I need to buy something to pick-up in the store. It’s great to have it waiting for you, but most of them time I need to go to Chesterfield or Mid Rivers instead. On the plus side, the employees here are VERY friendly, they always answer the phone, and the lines are pretty short. The checkout line is stupid, though… they use Customer Service as a checkout, and have the silly snake-type checkout line for the holidays. I’ve been there dozens of times and used the«real» checkout twice. I’ll round up from a 3.5 I’d give this one…

This Best Buy location is one of the smaller ones that I have been to. Also, for some reason, they never use the real check out line, always just default to customer service. Nonetheless, it’s your typical Best Buy store; they have the latest technology and it’s a fun place to window shop at. One item for improvement — they need to sell the entire line of Apple products, not just the iPad.
