History

Established in 1936.

Al Diemand purchased his 125 acre farm in 1936 — the realization of a dream. After acquiring Diemand Farm, he married his sweetheart, Elsie. They had 12 children.

They then purchased another 75 acres to make room for their growing brood and more farming activities. They began by raising hormone-free broiler chickens for local grocery stores, then eggs from all natural hens, maple syrup, turkeys, BBQ chicken dinners for parties, reunions and other events.

More than 20 years ago, in response to numerous requests, Al’s children Peter, Faith, and Anne Diemand… with help from relatives and extended family, expanded the Diemand Farm Store, making many specialties like Pot Pies, Ground Turkey, Fresh Eggs, Chicken, and many more meals, soups, and desserts available to the general public. Whenever possible Diemand Farm uses locally source ingredients in their home style prepared foods.
