D-olivo

My wife and I were looking forward to some cheese and crackers for a lite supper and stopped at the Wenatchee Public Market where we visited D’Olivo. The lady who greeted us started out helpful but began the hard sell after a couple minutes. We sampled some of the wonderful goat cheese she offered and decided to get the jalapeño, which she informed us was the most popular. I thought she acted strange when she reached into the cooler to get a small plastic container for us to purchase. Found out why later after we got back to the hotel… she had switched out the jalapeño for a container of plain goat cheese with a «use or freeze» by date of the day we visited. Bland as can be. Absolutely no flavor, but at least it wasn’t gamey like some goat cheeses can be. Don’t know if it was the old bait and switch to get rid of the unpopular and soon to be too old to sell plain goat cheese because we didn’t make a huge purchase or an honest mistake. Disappointed to say the least.

This place rocks! Seriously, they’ve got every kind of olive oil and vinegar and they know all sorts of great combinations to bring out all of the complex flavors. I got some oils and vinegars here that I use as marinades and salad dressings, and they’re all so tasty! I don’t find myself in Wenatchee often, but when I do, I’ll definitely be back to get some more oils & vinegars!

What a hidden gem in Pybus Public Market! They are so generous with the tastings that you will definitely find your new favorite oil and vinegar!
We sampled everything, from sweet to savory and were so impressed with the quality. My boyfriend and I have been to Modena and toured an authentic DOP balsamic maker, and this was the best comparison I’ve found since Italy.
The staff is all extremely friendly and knowledgable. The owner chatted with us about his journey into oil and vinegar and is very passionate about providing a superior and quality product.
Definitely stop in here!

I really love this store. The products are so fresh and varied. I went in to buy a Mother’s Day Gift and ended up joining their Olive Oil Club! And they wrapped up Mom’s package so beautifully. She was thrilled with it. The sales person (Kyle?) was SO well-​informed and he was keeping up with a busy crowd with a friendly smile. I really like having a great resource for oils and vinegars in the Wenatchee area.

I love this place! The quality of EVERY product they sell is outstanding. The staff is friendly, very helpful and extremely knowledgable.
