The Crooked Dock

How amazing is the Crooked Dock! It’s everything you need in «bar food» without a bar atmosphere (unless that’s what you want, and if so, the bar portion is very nice as well).
First of all, the setting is beautiful. There is a fantastic river view year round, and in the summer, it’s accessible by boat. There’s an enormous deck overlooking a beach volleyball court as well a very fun outside bar.
As nice as the view is, the food is what keeps us coming back. This is nothing-​fancy fried food done super well. Don’t leave without trying the cod nuggets or the Contraband Fries. Both offer enormous portions for a very reasonable price. Subs are ENORMOUS! I recommend the half portion unless you are eating for a family of four. Wings rival the more famous (and this more crowded) Drover’s Inn.
To round out my Crooked Dock love, the servers have always been super friendly, and the bathrooms are cleaner than mine at home. Seriously, don’t miss an opportunity to eat here.

Portion sizes are GENEROUS with mountains of fries! Food is delicious and restaurant is very neat! Will be returning soon!

Fish sandwich was awesome! Perfect crunch, great bun. Also liked the slaw and my friend shared part of his huge serving of fries, which were also great. Good service, welcoming atmosphere and view of the river.

I ordered a fish sandwich and it taste like it was freezer burned or maybe it was the sauce that they put on it, but it had a disgusting after taste. I tried a bite of my daughters fried chicken sandwich and it had that same nasty after taste. She didn’t like her sandwich either. If it was the sauce they need to serve the sandwich dry with the sauce on the side. Otherwise, they were both freezer burnt. The coleslaw was just meh.
My husband had the Rueben and it was but better but still not something he would order again. His fries were ok.
Good thing we ordered the onion rings as we all would have starved. They were fantastic! We ordered large and it was a massive portion!
The service was exceptional and the views were amazing. I would not come back here to eat nor would I recommend it. Just saying…

This review is months late because I just started contributing to Unilocal after having felt guilty about all the reviews I had been reading and taking into consideration while contributing none of my own.
I came here on a Sunday evening, end of the summer season. It may have even been early fall. I sat out on the deck near the newly constructed bar. I was with two other people. We ordered the «contraband fries» to share as it seems you can never go wrong with cheese and bacon on fries. Well, these disappointed. They lacked flavor and they were semi-​warm and didn’t have much bacon on them.
I decided to go with a Philly cheesesteak hoagie, the large order. I think I remember these sandwiches being some odd size, like 13−15″ in length. Regardless, it came out piping hot, dripping with cheese and the bread was perfectly toasted. I do seem to remember mayonnaise coming with it, but it was in a packet on the side. No complaints here.
I will make another trip here in the summer of this year.
Also wanted to add, the inside was very nice and clean.

Its a nice «dive» of a place. The afternoon waitress was nice, but not very present. The bar smells like smoke, and one is forced to walk through it to get to the dining area.

A perfect place for a fantastic sandwich. The décor is very basic and sparse, but it doesn’t need to be anything special due to the great view of the river. So tranquil and relaxing. But while the view is quite nice, the food is even better. The Philly Cheese Steak is gigantic and delicious. The bread alone is wonderful, but everything inside the sandwich is just as good. I also ordered a side of fries and was brought a huge portion that could be shared by two people. Much larger than expected. We were there for an early lunch and the service was just a bit slow, but when you’re relaxing in front of the river with a great sandwich in front of you, you shouldn’t be in a hurry to be heading anywhere else. Very nice place, will definitely go back again!

Huge portions and when I say huge, one item in this menu can feed an entire family. Try the titanic sandwich. So awesome and delicious loaded like a Primantis sub. The salads are so big the bowl is the size of all you can eat salad at Olive Garden but to yourself. Only 4 stars because the menu was pretty small and could definitely add more Items to choose from.
